Vape for Anxiety

I recently started smoking a small amount of sour Diesel for anxiety and I was very happy with the results. Because I dont want to smoke long term I've been trying vaping out. However it has no effect on my anxiety. I've tried low temperature (320), up to high temperature (428), small quantity, large quantity. It's very frustrating, the only effect I had was increased anxiety. So I tried smoking it again to make sure I'm not just crazy. And definetly smoking it helps my anxiety and vaping does not. I've read lots about the science of vaping and smoking, but nothing seems to answer why vaping isn't working for me.

I'm frustrated because i really don't want to smoke if I don't absolutely have to.

Bro, you're probably getting too high vaping it. I too suffer anxiety (a hell of a lot of it these days, especially when I don't do oils). The secret that I have found is this:

Enough THC is not just anxiety, it is a guaranteed panic attack IME. It requires a lot for me, but this will vary based on tolerance.

You need to be vaping cbd for anxiety, which has been shown to stimulate hippocampal neurogenesis (growth of new nerves in the brain region associated with coping with stress and anxiety - tellingly, a new study just recently found that long-term experience of depression causes atrophy of these very cells, it seems you can literally undo the damage that mental illness has done). A number of other known mechanisms of action render CBD the front line in the cannabis battle against anxiety.

Check out www.mycureall.com concentrates for some seriously nice tasting, effective meds for your needs.

It sure made a big difference for me!

Thanks a ton for the post! So let me ask.

Does vaping for anxiety work for you guys?

Perhaps I've having problems with the vaporizer. It's not a quality one it's a Hebe. But I can get vapor clouds out of it, so that should mean it's working right? At what temperature do you guys set that?

Clouds don't always matter, even though they're awesome. When I first started vaping, I think I finally got high for the first time in years (after smoking for many years, I guess I built a tolerance). Vaping brings more of the THC out, as combustion destroys more than half of it. So, you may be getting higher because of more THC. The high is a bit slower because you're not being hit with CO (displaces O2 by 270X). Wait 10 minutes to evaluate your high. And, yes, get a high quality vaporizer. This sight is a wealth of info to help find the right vape for you (stealth, portability, efficiency, and on and on). Don't get overwhelmed with vaping (it can be) . Once you get a handle on it, you can dial in better results, even without the CBD oil. Generally, higher vape temps will be more sedative, but I guess everybody is different. Stay with it, I deal with anxiety and PTSD every day, cannabis is the absolute best solution I have found, and FUCK COMBUSTION.

Good luck, and take a nice deep breath (preferably of cannabis), everything is okay! We're here for you, you're not alone.

Indica's at high temps work for me as far as flowers go. I would suggest to steer clear of sativa and hybrids. Work on your dose, that is critical. I usually take a puff of my c-juice or about 1/10 gr indica through my crafty.

White Rhino has been the best med for my anxiety but we're all different. Good luck and let us know how your doing.

I generally go for a strain with a more 'indica' kind of effect for anxiety/tension/stress.

Sour D is good for watching scary movies late at night. :)

What you want is something with an 'indica' type of effect. But like others, a strain labeled Indica or Sativa is not a guarantee. Usually knowledgeable 'budtenders' can help you out with a good strain for whatever your ailment is. Clubs here are a dime a dozen and there are more bad ones than good but if you try a lot of different ones you can usually find a good club with knowledgeable staff.

If you can get your hands on good concentrates you should look at vaping c juice. Herb vapes never worked well for me either. Not like smoking did. When I found good c juice I stopped smoking bud.

Thanks for the all input. Here's an update of my vape experiences. I believe most of my problem was with my vaporizer. I had bought a Hebe Titan 2 because it was cheap and had decent reviews. But I think I was inhaling a bunch of plastic from the thing which is why it kinda made me feel crappy and did nothing for anxiety. So I purchased a magic launch box, and I'm much much happier with the results. The smoke is super clean, and the hits are way better. I'm still in the process of figuring out a good dose for my anxiety but at least I'm making progress.

One of the reasons I smoke/vape is to curb anxiety but for 15+ years, weed in general gives me major panic attacks, on a few occasions it has been very severe and looking back funny. Even the purest indicas can trigger it.

My solution is that I take 1-2 hits 45-60 min apart for 3-4 hours and then have a full sesh. It makes all the difference and the effects after the full sesh are
