The Cap will develop a patina with use. The color ranging from gloss black to light gold, will depend on how you use it and what your heat source is.

Here is the latest greatest AND now fully functional Ed's Ti VapCap. It is not a big vape. Very close to the same size as a cigarette.

Now that is a thing of beauty. Nice work @VapCap @Ed's TnT

I want one of these now as well as the standard VapCap. Great work chaps!

Just placed my order. After a screen failure on my mflb I've been using a vaporlithe, this reminds me of an updated easier to use version of that. Looking forward to receiving it and posting my impressions.

Finally got back on the order train from the Dyna website. I hadn't ordered since the first two failures. I preordered two VapCaps, one is for a friend. I also bit the bullet on the damn $75 TI Unit with Ed wood. Couldn't help it.

@VapCap is the TI version all TI and no glass? Thanks.

I would also like a little more info on the titanium model, sooo sweet!
How is the titanium attached to the wooden stem? I'm also concerned with how it will stay attached with many heat cycles and any expansion or contraction of the wooden stem. Is there a warranty offered?

Greetings,
I finished my first hybrid prototype a few minutes ago. The business end has been upgraded to titanium. Please let me know what you think. This is the direction I am hoping to go with Ed, titanium tips that is. We are hoping to substitute the glass for wood and titanium. I think the glass has it's place, and it definitely works well, but it seemed there was a need to satisfy the craving for something a bit more interesting than clear glass. A key feature of this design is the thermal isolation of the titanium end. This will allow for continued use without burning your fingers!

Assembled unit. Same length. Still fits nicely in the air tight plastic tube.

Thank you everyone.

Is this unit going to be released still, it has it died out in favor of the wood/Ti and full Ti versions?

also, will there be a version of the pyro with a wider fill mouth, so we can feed shatter or wax in? It looks like the only thing you could get in there besides eJuice with the current model is co2 oil using a syringe.

Yes,
I plan on offering a wide variety of options including the glass and titanium versions. Right now I am working out the dimensions to allow interchangeability so a person can have several stems that will fit onto different tips as well as mouthpieces. This will allow these units to be customized and then changed depending on your mood or material.

I will be working on ensuring one version or another will be able to accommodate all versions of material a person would like to use.

Thanks,

George

That sounds awesome, should we expect the Ti/glass version to be priced between the entry level and Ti/wood? Closer to one price or the other? I'm amped for the Ti/glass version, sounds right up my alley. And easier to sell my friends on ;)

The Ti glass will be less than the Ti wood versions. It does seem there is a special place for glass for some folks, and having the Ti tip on a glass stem really helps with the durability.
I am also working on an all Titanium indestructible back over it with your car and it still works version. I hope to have pictures of that baby in about a week or so.

Just an FYI, I let one of my friends use the VapCap today. He is a light daily smoker. He has used the vast majority of my vaporizer lineup previously but was uber impressed with the VC for his needs. He is also very budget minded and only takes about 3 or 4 hits at a time typically. I ordered one today for him because at $25 he decided to finally get himself his first portable.

I am looking forward to the Wood and TI models for durability. If vapor production is the same as the glass version i will be very happy with my purchase.

Heat source note. I still need to do more experimenting but i believe this device will and does work best with a torch and more specifically i highly recommend the triple torch that George is stocking and sending out with certain preorders for best results.

Can you fully extract with a lesser heat source? Certainly. But it will take additional heating cycles and isn't as enjoyable IMO as using a torch.

@VapCap I was placing a pre order for the VCTW on your site and saw the shipping to UK was $10 (which is very reasonable) then I decided to add the original vapcap to my order which bumped the shipping cost up to $20. Is this as intended or can you tweak your site so it doesn't double the shipping when ordering a 2nd item?

Also do you plan on adding the 14mm adapter soon so I could pre order everything at once or would that have to wait for the release of the vapcap first?

I just noticed the shipping issue and have the website folks on it already. That issue should be resolved very soon. I will try to get both the 14mm and 18.8mm adapters up in the next day or so. Thanks for the feedback and please everyone, let me know if there is anything else you might like to see in the pre-order shopping cart or any other issues or concerns.

Thanks,

George

How about a combo discount deal?
I'd like to have a Ti/wood and a couple of the regular standard ones.
The lighter is a nice jester but I have plenty of torch lighters.

Good morning everyone, have been busy myself but have been checking all the posts here from time to time bout the VapCap and have enjoyed you alls enthusiasm for the unit as well as my contribution. I have rather enjoyed it and gotta say that for on the go its a dream of a piece! I am never sitting still, am in the shop, on the road, running errands back and forth here there and everywhere. The VapCap makes it so easy to load, hit and go and hit and go again! I know those of you that are about to get your own will be very happy with its performance as am I!

@Vapzilla I understand your concerns and hope I can help answer them best I am able. The wooden stems are still in design phase, I have been speaking to George @VapCap and like his idea for attaching the wood and hope to implement it into my own stems in the future. I will say that for the most part I will be using the most dense wood species available to ensure that there will be minimal shrinkage or contraction from the heating and cooling process. I must say that I feel with Georges idea the two pieces will stay put really well and be a game changer. I know he has his hands more than full and I am just as eager to work on this project as you all are about obtaining them!

I had a surprise waiting for me today when I returned home . A preproduction VapCap. Thank you George!
I will be back after some testing so far what stands out is the size. Both that of the VC and also while it is in the protective case. Fits very nicely in my pocket. Ok everyone will be back later after I get a few testing rounds in.

Just pre ordered a ti/wood combo! Can't wait to try it out.

Here's something I just thought of though. So I am a machinist and plan on using this as a sneak a toke while I'm at work (I work at the coolest shop ever, we are allowed to smoke at work and have an arcade for a break room!) but I was wondering if it will quickly damage the wood to be touching it with dirty, oily, and sometimes coolant soaked hands? I can obviously just wash them but id largely prefer not too constantly.... Or maybe I should just order a spare glass one too. Any thoughts @Ed's TnT
