I haven't been using my volcano as much at my usual vape station in my living room so I moved it next to my bed. Man, that was a good decision! Without the need to worry about blazing hot filaments or other potential fire hazards I've discovered the tremendous pleasure of maxing and relaxing in bed to a good book and a good strain :)

I just want to give some major props to S&B and their customer service.

A little over a month ago, my parent's house was flooded with 9' of water (the Blanco River Memorial Day flooding that happened in Texas). Everything in the house was ruined, including a Volcano and two Mighties.

Luckily, we were able to find them in the house, and they didn't get washed down river. We tried drying them out, even taking the Mighties to a special Dry Box Rescue thing for phones. Didn't work though.

My parents mailed off the units to S&B to see if there was any way they could repair them.

S&B called my mom yesterday, and said that the units were unrepairable. However, they were shipping out refurbished units back to them, all at no charge.

They obviously didn't have to do anything, the warranty doesn't cover a flood/water damage (they were upfront with what happened, didn't try and hide anything).

But my parents are VERY thankful that S&B are being so generous with their offer to send refurb units for free. Makes dealing with everything else that was lost just a little bit easier.

Mods, if this violates the cross-post/spam rule, please delete. I thought it was worth sharing with the Volcano thread as well.

What do you all think of the current pricing on massdrop? Great, or a regular sale? $350 for the regular seems fantastic. Can't talk myself into though, for some reason.

I don't know how to explain this... Volcano is making me crazy??? Lol
I was using it with good stuff at the first but now i don't really got good stuff for use it with fresh so im using it with abv :
A generous quantity of abv can give me 1,5 bag of full vapor!!!
4-5 bags of this can knock off everyone!!! Even a very high tolerance !!!
In use several strains mixed in the same bottle ( abv )
Maybe is this? Maybe is that?
Surely is this and is like that!!!
Lol
I told you is VOLCANO!!!
I really love this machine!!
( i love too my nano , my solo's and my air and sure my eq ) but with volcano is too easy get high and Surely medicated!!!
Thanks

I specifically use my Volcano to vape AVB on 200+ late at night to help me sleep.

One full load also gets me 1 bag of dense vapour. The important thing for me is to regrind the AVB to expose unvaped parts. The Volcano does the rest.

It's great for this purpose. I mean truly awesome.

I Love my Volcano as well!! With my pain I couldn't sleep through the night before purchasing one of my new best friends. Now that we've become acquainted, after 4 nice bags of tasty vapor from some high quality Meds, I've been able to sleep through the night:tup: Then after waking up, I enjoy another 4 bags to get me ready for work. It's been a GODSEND!!:rockon:Not sure why I waited so long to join the club, all the time I've missed .
Good Day all:peace:

Hey Guys!!
I would like to know what temp do you use guys with volcano DIGIT ?? At the moment most of time im using my digit at 218c or 221c just to revape my abv , dense bags and not at all flavored but you can taste something for sure.
So... What temp do you use with the digit?? For fresh or abv!

I never really start below 380 on the Volcano and max out at 410. I have the Volcano Medic which is a digital, but the medically certified version and the temp is limited to only 410.

I read a study that the Volcano was at its maximum efficiency at 438 F, but that is pretty close to max and the bags are just not very pleasant from when I used a regular digital on max before.

I am often lazy and just leave it at 410 from start to finish but it is much less tasty at that temperature.

While looking for a Zephyr Ion to replace the one I sold when I moved to CO a while back I stumbled across someone who was quitting altogether and just wanted to get rid of their stuff. Got an absolutely incredible deal on an almost brand new analog Volcano with solid valve/extremely nice carrying bag and extra Volcano brand bags. She also threw in some legal weed, a grinder, and some cookies for free lol! Been wanting a Volcano forever but never thought I'd want to spend the money on one. REALLY glad I stumbled across this deal because so far I'm loving it. The little plunger thing that you use to press the weed down against the bottom screen is absolutely amazing. Just that right there makes it better than the Ion in my opinion.

Packed what I would normally pack in my LSV and could only handle about 4 bags with the first being extremely whispy and the last 3 nearly as thick as smoke. I see what all the hype is about now. One question though and it's probably a stupid one - does the valve just sit on top of the unit? Mine doesn't leak any vapor or anything but it doesn't lock on with anything...I'm assuming that's normal but I've never even touched a Volcano in person before today.

Edit: Just packed the insides of a free pre roll that I never would've done anything with because it's so low quality. Filled the massive solid valve bowl over halfway....super super thick bags. I'm baked. I now know what to do with the shitty pre rolleds I get haha.

Yes the valve just sits on the volcano. There is a small notch and you can feel it slip in place. It becomes second nature quickly. I have the solid valve as well. Sometimes a tall bag can get tippy, and the valve can fall off. I just keep the bag resting against a wall to steady it, but you can also steady it by hand while the bag fills.

I've settled on one or two bags around 4.5-6.5 depending on the herb, and I save the abv for medibles. I'm not a fan of hot bags.

Great vape by the way. I've had mine since 09 with nary a problem. I guess you could say its stood the test of time, and still going strong.

I'm kicking myself in the ass right now. I had an opportunity to buy a digital for $300. I just raised the money and contacted the seller only to find out its already sold. =( guess I'll be playing the waiting game again

For those who are irritated by the crinkling noise from the empty bags:

just blow some air with your mouth in the bag.
the crinkling will stop immediately.

The advice can help for the moment, but has longer term repercussions.
I avoid blowing air into any tubing or bags that are used with vapor.
Slight moisture from your mouth lines the tubing walls (or bag walls) and then vapor collecting in them that normally attaches to walls becomes cloudy and more sticky as time goes by.
In a bag, it introduces moisture and low level bacteria, that can make the bag smell funny after a few times, and cause bag to need replacement sooner.

Good point. Then blow air into it from an "unloaded" volcano might be the best bet to avoid the bacteria that Vitalo mentions. If you go that route of course.

I was just wondering if you happen to remember if that included a valve system or just the base? I'm currently hunting around for one and can't recall what the cost was on MD with valves as opposed to just the base
