Vaping Oil After Wisdom Teeth Surgery

Hello FC, this is my first post here and I'd just like to say I love what you guys have going here! I am new to the vaporizer community after getting tired of all the hassles of combusting my Marijuana (LEGALIZE IT).

Anyways, I'm sitting here about 3 hours after my wisdom teeth have got taken out. The procedure went well and I'm not in any pain, and the bleeding has already stopped. Everywhere I have read that smoking after surgery can hinder the healing process, partially due to the suckling motion you do when smoking. But as for VAPORIZING with my Dr. Dabber G-pen, would this be okay? I feel like I barely have to suck in to get the airflow from the atomizer to my mouth. Really hoping to hear from experience on this one, I know you really can't go wrong smoking weed or vaping wax but dry sockets are nothing to fuck with and I want to be sure. Thank you so much!

You definitely can vape but be careful with it. My buddy got 3 dry sockets at once in high school from smoking a cig and it was brutal! He was in pain for a month it seemed.

I vaped out of my dr. Dabber pen on my ride home from the doctor and I had no issues.

Do not make a complete seal around the mouthpiece with your lips! And take smaller hits because coughing your lungs out will also not be great for your mouth atm. Take wispy hits without making a seal and you should be good. I'm sure you'll just be relaxing so you don't need to take monster rips to get there fast anyway so take it easy and enjoy!

Hey bro thanks for the quick response, this was exactly the answer I was looking for. You even have the same pen as me :) which I'd recommend for anyone looking for a great bang for your buck pen. We'll anyways I'm pretty lifted on hydrocodone right now but once that wares I guess I'll be loading up a dab and taking some puffs! Vape on

Update: I just took about 5 medium sized draws from my vape, making sure my mouth was not actually secured around the mouthpiece to avoid the suction pressure, and it felt like it was interfering with my wisdom teeth sockets absolutely none. Also, I tried a few hits through one nostril and that seemed to work okay but I don't think there is really a need for it when you can just vape carefully.

Personally, I'd wait at least a day after the surgery. For every person I've heard say that they had no problems smoking right after wisdom teeth removal, I've also heard someone say they got an extremely painful dry socket and really regret not waiting. Even just drinking through a straw, which requires minimal amounts of sucking pressure, can give you a dry socket if you don't give yourself enough time to heal.

EDIT: I'll also mention that the only break I've taken from weed was when I got my wisdom teeth removed a few years ago. I smoked a few days after the surgery (but was instructed not to for 2 weeks). Had no issues but if I were to experience it again, I still wouldn't risk sucking on anything within my first day of having surgery.
