Just got tracking info! Should be hear Saturday! 2 years of waiting finally coming to an end:)
SWEET! Ok, you know we're gonna have to watch some Saints games with our hoppers (if mine makes it here before the season is over) while we discuss how much money is being wasted on Byrd!

Same here. Had it shipped to my wife's job so I won't get it until Monday. I'm on vacation so I'll probably have lunch with her so I can get it before she gets home lol... I ordered a plain titanium (I think I was the fourth to order titanium during the campaign). Hoping I don't end up with stainless like another member mentioned. Keeping my hopes high though...

other member changed their order to Ti from SS... so you SHOULD have nothing to worry about in that regard

Are there any other people who got Address Confirmations on 7/20 and that still haven't received a shipping notice or a package?

Now that kind of comment is what I'm hoping to not see anymore. Would be nice to even get a week where 100 ship. At this rate they won't make any estimate they keep giving. Updates seem to be mostly driven towards generating sales.

My high hopes for august are dwindling by the day...

IIRC, their heater manufacturer can only produce a handful of heaters per week. Unless that somehow changes I just don't see the assembly/shipping rate ever increasing.

Does that apply still? I remember when first starting assembly, they said the heater was the bottleneck. If you're right, it would takes months to catch up. And if the product gets popular, I could easily see where they could never keep up with demand. Death by popularity.

well I am speculating. I remember that they mentioned the problem with not enough heaters being printed, and then as far as I remember they never said anything to the effect of "the manufacturer has added more printers to keep up with demand" or anything along those lines.
If anyone saw an update about the heaters please feel free to remind me. This is the one thing I cannot get past in my mind, as far as this trickle-slow production rate goes. They have announced a few times that all parts are now in stock, so shipping will be ramping up, but they've never explained if they are finally getting the amount of heaters they need at a reasonable rate...

IIRC . . . it was 30 heaters a week. Then Trevor flew to wherever in the US they are made and after a couple days said they had resolved the issue. He never elaborated on how this was done but the way he made it sound is that it was done without adding new printers to the production line. So he must have simplified the design or tweaked something so they could print a lot more of them more quickly.

They've said all parts are in sufficient quantities. Heaters aren't the issue. Can't find which email or update that says it right now but whatever the hold up is they've definitely moved past supply being the problem.

I remember that now too, BUT that's quite vague, don't you think? Especially after the specifics regarding the heaters in the update before that.
It could explain the slow pace, anyway.
Let's say the manufacturer said: "OK, even though we just told you we're physically capable of only producing 30 heaters a week, we'll double that for a few more bucks each from you. You get 60 a week now."
EDIT: (point being I have a strong feeling the heaters are still just trickling in, while they really are sitting on tons of the rest of the parts... some of which may need to be remade overseas)
Wouldn't that help to explain the unexplained delay?
Or are we sticking with the non-controlled Beta testing theory?

Wasn't there an update stating "we'll be cranking out a thousand per week" or something like that, that came out AFTER the update regarding the slow heater manufacturing? That would seem to indicate that the heaters were no longer an issue.

Yes, that is what I was thinking as well...

Couple of reports on reddit this morning of non early/non holiday backer units being shipped.

I received my Address Confirmation 7/20, nothing since for my Early Bird order. No shipping notice, status on website still says Processed, no response to numerous emails.

I am very frustrated that they are shipping regular backers without fulfilling all the Early Bird orders.

Did it say a 1000 a week production rate somewhere? How many employees putting these units together? With 5 employees possibly? This is the speculation thread after all.

Who know how many people are putting these together.
