I've got one dual-coil AC insert that works great at 7.4v, clouds quick, not even really a pulse of 1/4 sec taps to keep it going, but standing on the button at 3.7v for 20 seconds gets a bit of taste but that's it. When I first received this coil, it did seem to work at 3.7v much better.

A second dual-coil AC insert I've only used at 3.7v and can get clouds after 6-7 seconds. Same freshly charged AW 18650 :)

How much of this is due to how it's loaded/cleaned/used, no idea...

After a long time wanting one, I'm about to get a Persei and Hercules SR 71 or SR 74 for the dual coil ability. I'm going to a week long festival so I think the option to load less frequently will suit the situation. I've noticed the last few reduced SR 71 carts in the w9tech store and see they don't come with coils. Do they come with the ceramic wand, or does this need to be purchased separately?

I also had a query about international shipping, since I can get a Persei and SR 74 from Germany, but I'd rather buy straight from the manufacturer and get the SR 71 too. The only problem is after international shipping and customs fees it actually works out cheaper to buy from Germany. I PM'ed you about this @THC SCIENTIFIC , it would be really good if you could let me know the score as I'd like to order in the next couple of days.

Cheers guys!

My buddy lost his V4 Persei. He really wants to get another but all you've had available for a while has been V3's in weird colors. How long until he can get a replacement? He's not interested in the 8.

I gotta chime in on this I guess, not conplaining at all, I got a v4 top, it does exactly what its supposed to but I actually liked my v3 top I traded in better, IMO only, I liked pushing the button and the aesthetics of the v3 alot more, I know most people probably prefer touch button but for me it would be cool if the button was optional

Same here. I had the touch button auto-fire on me the first day I got it and I've been paranoid about it ever since. I never use the hammer feature at all so its of little benefit to me. It also seems less effective at 3.7v than my v3 top was. I don't hate it but it got me started looking for other alternatives again.

@coffinoff what do you mean by less effective at 3.7?

Also has anyone tried the kiss AC on a Temp control device? Okeanos sounds good to me on a temp control mod.

It's impossible for me to compare directly because I don't have a v3 top anymore but I used to vape at 3.7 exclusively with my old top . The v4 top seems to take a lot longer to get up to temperature at 3.7 so I'd end up with weak vapor and lots of oil falling into the reclaim chamber. 7.4 works well, its just not my preference.

You could fix it with glue, or you can take some pliers and bend the tip of the 'stalk' , then grab the stalk with pliers and jam it back inside.

Anyone know if it's safe to ISO soak the kiss Gen 3? Mine leaked all over in my hot car.
You're good

Has anyone ever hooked a Core up to a power consumption monitor to see how much power it draws when not being used? Assuming it's only drawing enough to power the display, but don't know. Trying to see if it's wasteful to leave it plugged in all day.

Any issues with leaving it plugged in for long periods of time?

V4 top is now giving me red ring of death on kiss gen 3 dual coil even on 3.7 mode. It doesnt happen everytime, maybe every 3rd or 5th try, but annoying none the less. Even to the point where sometimes i have to unscrew/rescrew it in. Ive found capping one hole and carbing the other intermittently to coax fat clouds out of it at 3.7, but really have trouble getting it to not red ring too often. Any adjustments available i can make or is it just the technical drawback of the v4's sensitivity and dummy-proofing?

how old are the batteries? it sounds like a low voltage protection kicking in because the batteries might be old or not properly being charged.

Nah, brand newish ones and 6 months tops on the old ones. When i took out a batt the last time it read 3.97 on the charger. Even fresh off the charger i get hard starts now.

Edit: same batteries that fire my herc...
