Team NO SLEEP!
I tried my first apple pipe in Israel at the end of a 2 month trip without green... LOVED IT!

I can punch out a pretty sophisticated apple piece with an angled chamber (in case something made it through the screen-usually taken from the closest sink) and carb. Takes less than 2 mins.

Damn I might just have to get a few apples tomorrow and try to apple vape.
Thinking I can take the stock nano stem, use the bowl end as usual, and pass the vapor through the apple as a mouthpiece.

Or the dreaded pipe made out tin foil.

I wish I was that smart, when I was a know nothing teen...thought it would be a good ideal to make a 'foil joint' thinking it would just burn the weed in the middle and nothing else...

...boy was I WRONG!

Lungs felt like shit...went to the doctor, found out I had pneumonia (not exactly sure if it was the burning foil)
...but after that I stayed away from smoking and foil like the fucking plague! :myday:

When the quality (and price) of mj went up, we fashioned Individual-hit-pipes out of the cardboard roll found on a wire clothes hanger and aluminum foil. We'd all sit around with our "indy-pipes" and toke one hit at a time to minimize waste. We graduated to lengths of small galvanized pipe with elbows, or store-bought pipes e.g. all-brass Proto Pipe.

For a while, heated knives and glass hurricane lamp shade was a fun past-time. Heat 2 butter knives on a coil electric stove element, drop material on the heated knives and squish: and use hurricane lamp shade to capture and inhale "vaporized" material. I have silver coated lungs.....

I weep for you.

Legalize it. Then people won't be inhaling dangerous chemicals while trying to hide their substance use. Make it so that it's not a black mark against you to own a pipe.

I'm glad I found vaping a relatively short time after starting to smoke.

Edit: Although I still smoke blunts every now and then. :(

Yup , we did that too .
called it ' hot-knifing ' , we only used hash tho .
Break off small 1 hit pieces for individual hits .
Heated up the knives on the stove's elements until red hot .
Then use 1 knife to dab a piece of hash on the blade , and
compress with the other knife . We used empty paper towel rolls to inhale ,
no glass , we were always accident prone when stoned . haha

Eventually , We went to " Woolworth's " to get a set of knives
for ourselves , because we would ALWAYS leave black burnt marks
on our parents' knives . LOL ( try explaining that )

Had an in dash, but was going through beater cars so much back then (buy cheap or get free, fix, drive into ground, get another), it ended up in-dash, under dash, under seat, flopping around on the "hump", wherever! As long as I could get to the track change button it was all good. I even had it in my bedroom connected to a battery charger for a month or two! Still can't believe the abuse this thing took. Here's what I had sans buttons.

Installed a few of this type for friends back then, too. On brackets hanging from under the dash, in the glove box, wherever!

About the "hump"..... Another long gone thing for most. Remember when most cars were rear wheel drive and you had the hump on the floor between the seats? I spray painted the top and sides of of my in-dash unit black and had a black plastic strap holding the 8 track to the hump, with a cassette player that came in the car in the dash. Damn 17 years old was some fun times!

This is what our stereo system looked like when we were first married back in the 70s. We had an inexpensive stand for it. I was still able to play my records with the turntable, plus the new 8 track tapes.

I remember those 8 tracks the tape inside would get all messed up. Then it would get all twisted in the gears of the 8 track player. They just weren't reliable, after a while one of your fav songs would start fading in and out. Remember that's when folks started copying whole 8 tracks. A lot of bootleg music, we started hearing about copyrights infringement.

Eight track didn't last very long. Before we knew it they changed our fav tunes again to a different device the cassettes. Then we had to replace our whole music library.

Anybody else have a laserdisc player around the house? Those discs were huge!

How about a Phillips CD-i? Famous for the terrible Zelda games that weren't made by Nintendo, but I really enjoyed Pinball on the thing…

I had my player (still working like a charm) and collection of about 200 laserdiscs until about 5 years ago. My brother still has his. Anybody want to buy a laserdisc player and crazy movie collection?

My step dad is a huge audiophile and recorded his 6000pc vinyl record collection on betamax tapes because as he said over and over, "the sound quality was far superior to VHS." He still uses Betamax to this day when he does not want to wear out one of his favorite non replaceable records.

He had a few of these also but they sucked in my opinion.

My first 8-Track player was kept in the glove box of my first car. It was stolen one day, so I think it was one of my "friends" from High School. A few weeks later, the entire car was stolen from in front of my house. Pretty devastating to a 17 year old. Ahh 'Jersey...the good 'ole days! :disgust::bang::rofl:
