Damn Counterfeiters

Hello,

I'm new to this site. I recently made a wholesale purchase of multiple vaporizers that have turned out to be counterfeit. The companies who's counterfeit items I received include Atmos, Grenco, Pax and MFLB. This site has been an aide in helping me realize what I had done and thought I would share my experience and hopefully help some of you avoid these items when they are counterfeit.

I don't smoke, so these products were foreign to me until I immersed myself in an effort to get my money back.

If you guys are interested I will share images of the counterfeit items and the results of my battle. I will not however share any links to the sellers of these items. I have zero desire to help the counterfeit industry grow. When I sent grenco the initial images they said the item appeared legit. These counterfeiters are getting good!!!

If you would like me to share more just respond so I know im not wasting your time.

Thanks

Sorry about your experience, counterfeiting is just dirty. I think it's great you're here to possibly help others not make the same mistake, I'm sure it will be appreciated even if that's not shown.

We have a section for posting all of the info you can on those (just no links to the seller) ... http://fuckcombustion.com/forums/counterfeit-vaporizers.47/ ... many models have their own threads so just put each one in the proper place if there is one. Post away.

Ill post over there from now on. Grenco informed me that they are unable to prove that the Gpro's are counterfeit. When I informed him that they cost around $13 he said that's cheaper than they acquire them for from the manufacturer. He is submitting the info I provided to their legal team. Makes having things in china manuafactured seem to be an unimaginable headache.

Any vaporizer that cheap tells you it's counterfeit. You live and learn, do your homework and look around at the different online stores.

The Vapor Genie is one of the cheapest and it's $50 -60. You might get it a little less but not much.

MFLB just went up to $110 but it was cheaper for many years. It has a lifetime warranty. I personally don't like the MFLB but that's me.

Posting pics would be a big help and warning for others. The Pax is fairly easy to identify, it uses a special screw that counterfeiters miss, as well as the party modes (which I've never heard reproduced in a fake). Of course it's not easy to tell until one gets the vape, and by then it's a little late.

Always buy from reputable sellers, like the ones who advertise here. It's a waste of time and energy to have to buy the vapes again.

Did you contact MFLB about the fake? They might be interested to see what's out there. Did that one have a serial number?

The latest counterfeits have both the correct screw and party mode. The last one I saw had only one external difference that told me it was a fake, and I'm not about to post what that was.

Not sharing that information is actually a bit... Well you can fill it out for yourselves.

This forum is about helping one another by sharing information, not by keeping our creating secrets. I can in one way understand your chain of thaught behind not wanting to share it, but I feel you are making a huge mistake here and are actually helping the counterfeiters...

This forum would not exist if it was not for the sharing of information!

What are you hinting at? Let me fill it in for you.

Every time someone posted a way to detect a counterfeit, the next round of fakes fixed the mistake. Why the fuck would I make public the last way I know to detect them? Did it occur to you that I might reveal it to anyone who asked in a PM? Obviously not...

Wow that is a bummer. They've really made all the party modes available? I forget how many there are, but that's really saying something about how far counterfeiters are taking this. Glad i bought my Pax from a trusted FC member. This game is getting complex.

So your priorities are where Pak?

Explain to me how NOT reveiling the information that can help distinguish real from fake publicly is preventing these fake models from getting past of for real?

Your reasoning behind this seems to be that you do not want to help counterfeiters to improve their products. Which is one point of view.

Mine is that the information on this forum is more available to non -members because it is open to visitors so to speak. I am sure the counterfeiters have real models to start with and that they are very well aware of the ' mistakes ' they are making.

When seen from this angle, can you please explain to me how secluding this information to private message might be in the best interest of us all?

Seems like you can expose some ' dirty ' secrets so to speak, secrets that can benefit only those that, well, have something to hide to start with, namely the counterfeiters...

Please do not see this as a personal thing, I am thinking out loud and ready to be pointed out to my mistake.

I understand no links can be given, but the name of their game is keeping us generally speaking in the dark. And often the smallest details are what sets apart real from fake. Might you not actually be doing these guys a favor by not throwing their little secret into the open? Exposing the details that give every individual the ability to recognize the fake one seems to have more advantages then disadvantages at this point in time(s)...

I'm about to get on a plane so I don't have much time for this. To keep it short, I disagree completely with your reasoning and I don't feel I'm helping the counterfeiters in any way. I also think that it's quite likely they've managed to eliminate that last detail and this whole discussion in moot.
