According to my wife I already have more than enough vapes but damn, that "I would REALLY want one now" perk just lured me into the VapCap web, probably not gonna tell her that I want the Ti with Ed's stem too? C'mon George, I'm ready for your prototype!

@VapCap: What happens when the campaign will not reach the target of 10.000 USD?
Well,
I sincerely hope that over the next 6 weeks we can keep reach our goal. In the unfortunate event we don't, we will still receive whatever funding has been raised, but Indiegogo takes a bigger percentage for fees.
I hope as some of the reviewers get their stuff posted we can really gain some momentum.

Thanks,

George

I think the work your doing so far is simply fantastic and I can't wait to try out this little beauty in the near future, when these are sent out are we going to have a choice in the finish? Wood? Metal or glass etc or are you going to experiminet and find the best and ship those out? No fussed either way I think they all look (maybe not function) equally well.

Hope all goes well and you hit those numbers, sure the good guys here will put it to the test in no small measure

Great Day!

Several takers on the Titanium special cases today. I have been conducting more tests with this new version, and the initial results are better than I would have expected. The tip is thermally isolated from the rest of the unit and even though the tip gets rather hot during repeated use, the rest of the unit stays a very comfortable temperature. I have a few modifications to this first design in the works to reduce warm up time and make the tips more efficient. I should have some cool pictures tomorrow.

Thanks for the support!

Two weeks in a row I have received surprise preproduction or premarket vaporizers from two different companies. This week... VapCap. Thanks @VapCap. Cool lighter too. Got it in the mail and upon visual inspection she is tiny tiny, and the case is perfect. Just did a dry run, to test for the click. Will report back in a few hrs with more info.

First thought, if this thing produces in the vapor catagory it will be a really small and light portable option for the outdoorsman like myself. More to come.

Edit. First thoughts are full and very even extraction, and the first hit it very tasty.

Seems to me like one of the first of these intriguing little fellows is in good hands.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Happy testing bud, I hope you can cope with the workload ;)

@IAmKrazy2 whats the draw like compared to regular portable vaporizers?

Not sure what you mean exactly but with the carb hole covered and a full tampered bowl pack there is a bit of draw resistance. But you can kindof finger the carb over and over like i do on my Daisy. With the carb uncovered it feels like there is no resistance.

Small bowl. so far it compares most favorably to a VapMan. But the VM is pure conduction i believe the VapCap is elements of both conduction and convection, and has much more even and full extraction.

I anticipate a quick cult following with this device similar to the VM. Those who appreciate it, will really like it.

I can already tell you i personally will probably much prefer the wood model but that is TBD.

Edit. Whole chunks of plant matter restrict the draw a bit more than ground up material but thus far i like the nug chunks best.

Wow, nice! So is it pretty similar in usage to Vapman (reheating it to the click before each draw, and no need to stir)? How would you compare the flavor, heat/harshness... or any other notable aspect of the experience? This seems almost like Vapman crossed with a log vape!

It does seem very similar to VM heat patern but a little quicker and no need to heat in burts like the vapman.

The VapCap (VC) it a lot easier to load than the VM too. The vapor path is obviously short, so there is some throat iritation but not bad at all considering how dark the extraction is and the legth of the vapor path. I would say taste is superior to VM, extraction is more complete, and harhness is comporable maybe a little less harsh than the VM. The VM has a little less draw resistance when compared to a VC with a closed carb hole, but i do not cover the.holes in the VM like some do. There is very litle resistance on the VC when the carb is open.

Vapor is pretty thick considering load size and all other factors..thicker than VM IMO for sure. The VC seems to take 2 to 3 heat cycles for completion of one bowl, while the VM takes usually 3 to 5 heat cycles for me at least and it is a little harder to get the last bit out of the VM. The VC simply extracts more evenly.

Edit. You don't reheat after every draw, more like after two to three draws depending on size of hits. It takes around 30 seconds to hear the cool down click and for the vape to be ready to be heated again after the first click.

Thanks! VC sounds pretty great so far.
Oh yeah, how's the balance and feel in the mouth? I assume you can just hold it with your lips while taking a few puffs, and then... would it be a bad idea to reheat while still holding in your lips (one-handed)? :spliff:

Seems like IGG's not the way to go. @VapCap maybe you could just take preorders through your site? Lacks the exposure of IGG, but at least you wouldn't have to keep starting over. Or maybe that's a bad idea, I dunno
