Underdog Log Vapes

Well i dont know the answer to that question but i do think a vvps is a great addition!!

13.4 volts seems to be as high as ill be taking mine. I got combustion at 13.6.... No need to go higher, might as well take a lighter to the stem if i wanted it any hotter LOL

At 13.4 i get really dark ABV but no combustion. Perfect for me.

The one i have the fan sound does get annoying. It kicks on after a few minutes and doesnt cut off until i turn the vvps completely off.

(Is this normal for all vvps?)

So i normally use the regular wall wart and then swap over to the vvps for an hour or 2 at a time when im sitting at the computer just playing music and can drown out the fan sound. I was hoping to be able to use it like a dimmer as well but the fan sound makes me not want to use it like that. Even down to 4 volts the fan keeps running.

But it works wonderfully to get higher temps and kicks out a darker ABV.

@GTAVaper I think you will need to splice some different ends onto a cord for the ud since that thing doesn't seem to accept a barrel connector. I would personally take the extension cord that comes with it and solder the rca style connectors onto the end that originally had a female barrel connector port. then you keep your stock power supply in tact too. I'm sure you can buy a cable as well if you aren't super handy. Looks like it ought to work well based on the specs though

so today i got my bill from customs and it was around the expected amount, for those in uk/eu i paid £42 which did include £8 carrier charge so i thought the vat was fair enough

a combination of what we will call stoner events means i have no pics yet but my custom is top right in this post
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/underdog-log-vapes.4214/page-417#post-820510

so i will do a more in depth review but initial thoughts are sweet jesus thats hot, i know underdogette warned me but yeah i deffo need to dial that down, too hot to hold is not on. playing with extensions helps but i think a dial will be the answer

as to my actual reaction on seeing my vape i did absolutely love it. i deliberately gave quite broad strokes and asked the main man to do his thing and i adore it. it is utterly fucking glorious and i have spent a lot of time just stroking it and admiring it (yes like a penis, but wooden and useful)

i combusted on first water attempt, lots to play and learn to adjust and adapt. loving the dry stem. nylon - fuck me thats a cracking thing, might be the stem but even so love the nylon direct draw and nong

i also got a walnut mini dog and i love that too, lets be honest i love all of it and even though all in it was not cheap there is nothing i would change.

big big shout out to snappo for providing the wood

If your in a hurry and can't wait for battery pack you always get something like this
http://r.ebay.com/GNQhOc

The idea of using a car battery jump starter, to jump start a log vape, just cracks me up  the visualization lol plopping out that thing and then throwing on my Walnut Mini just is hilarious to me.

That's a good option though for sure, seems like it would work!

Glad to hear you got your Pup out of lockup and are enjoying it so far! Keep up the good work.

sup dawgs?

just checkin in. still using my UD daily and love it!

Just chillin over here after some long hot days in the shop.. it's been 105°+ most of the week and let me tell ya that will tire you out. :freak:

I just received my Underdog and am going camping in CO two weeks from now. If you have or know of a way to use the Underdog without your standard outlet please let me know. Thank you.

Like other people mentioned the popular battery packs many of us are using take 2-3 weeks to be delivered. Are you car camping or hike-in camping? If car camping you could probably just use a car adapter and an extension cord. You can get those in just a few days if need be.

Hi all, so now that I got my battery pack in the mail today, I am about to order my batteries off Amazon. Will these work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NUI45AU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

Its only 2.5 a, but is 3.4 really necessary or are the batteries that are often linked in this thread merely optimal?

Not that much of a cheapo, these ones just have free and quick prime shipping so I was wondering if they would work. Thanks!

Those should work just fine, they might not be quite as good as the Panasonics but they're good brand name batteries at least. :2c:

Just a heads up though you'll need 4 of them if you're using the battery pack frequently posted on the thread here.

Quick question dogs:

I purchased the battery pack from @Snappo's post. When purchasing batteries, do I need to purchase a charger as well? Does the battery pack have the capability to charge the batteries as well?

The battery pack can/will charge them via USB with the included cable. A standalone charger will charge them faster though but will require you to take them out of the pack first. :2c:

Fuckin love my battery pack. I dislike the white color, but oh well, electrical tape fixes that.

Has anyone gotten a black one? The few I've gotten have all been white but I prefer that so it's worked out well for me.

Reminds me of wiffle ball, with proper mods of course!

Hey, does anyone have any surplus Zap (any vintage) or PD stems they want to get rid of?

We're trying to support Zap and PD users who are looking for accessories (mostly stems) and there's not enough demand to warrant making a batch of stems just for those vapes but it'd still be nice to have some to hook people up with.
