okay, I'm in. I'd get this instead of the mighty. I appreciate the quick layout on the upsides and I can live with the size. I'm gunna save up for one of these and I won't go for anything less. Unless something comes on the market in the coming months to defeat this completely, then I'm gunna take a big bite on this.

I did look at the miniVAP shortly after purchasing my inhalater so I've been looking at it for a while.

Ok gang...it's been a long time coming, but I finally have my j-hooks in to complete the package, and I've got a second shipment of MV's and accessories on the way. But his post is all about my limited edition green units. I call this package the Full Monty, as you get either a teflon or glass core with the battery, ac adapter, flexicone and fixins, and Ed's WonG and butter with the j-hook. Here's some pics

The whole package!

This package is $650 and, gets you everything you need to enjoy the taste of the MV without the harshness of the standard attachments. Ed's wong will fit all your 18mm glass, whether it's bubblers or other mouthpieces. I think this is the most versatile, high performing kit I can find. I can make this package with any of the other three stock colors. Black and Silver are $25 less and the Gold kits are the same price as the Green, but you can only get the Green from me. Holler!

Well in an unfortunate turn of events it seems my MV crapped out on me today :( Used it on red every day, only had it for 2 and a half months. It flashes like it's heating up but just keeps doing it, even after half an hour. It gets warm but not hot enough to vape. Real shame cos I liked it a lot. On the off chance, there's no secret reset to try or anything?

Now the question is do I ask for a glass core when I warranty it? How different is that from the teflon with decarb kit?

At first I tested both and chose the glass core and have since bought the teflon with decarbylox kit and to me they are both very similar..I have been reaching for the basic teflon with no decarbylox kit..as I see no difference in the kit or no kit...as long as u have good material it seems that both cores work fine.

FWIW, I had a Crafty for about 8 months and recently sold it. It really worked great, but effect, taste, and efficiency were all inferior to the MV. And of course the Crafty/Mighty cooks the load constantly, you can't use the Crafty/Mighty without the battery, it's much more of a chore to keep clean, it doesn't mate with glass as easily... I could go on. Actually, I could probably wax poetic about the MV. It has retired my SSV, EVO, Crafty

Bastard! Now I have to have this too! I thought my Mighty was "the one" until I met the vriptech, and tried the MV and never tasted anything like it! For the first time a strain that just would taste good in the Mighty would taste like Sour Chews in the MV! I just sometimes fear pure convection vapes because they irritate my lungs and can cause me to cough especially on higher temps. Also, just as an aside, I was told by S&B that you can actually use the Mighty w/o the battery by charging it to full, and then using it plugged in and it will bypass.

but, despite the battery, it really isn't very portable, and it has a negative stealth factor. it's really more of a "home portable," if that makes any sense. I love heating it up with the AC puck and then swapping over to the battery to walk around the house

Perfect! This is exactly what I need and use my vape 90% of the time. Perhaps my Mighty can just become my portable for a bit more stealth!

@lazylathe next vape-off the MV has to get all the attention!

I know many have access to all sorts of strains, but living in a non friendly state I don't, but have had the privilege to enjoy DNAGenetics 24K Gold strain for the first time ever. My oh my what a flavor train with the MV........I mean damn, that was a treat.

Did you get any glass mouthpieces, that go up? In addition to your J hooks which go down?

No. At this point they all are like yours. I'm still looking for other options that are reasonable. I find I love it with the MV, but not the Zion, so I am looking...

I feel like I should post a warning to anyone considering doing business with Slide4Less...AKA Authorized Vaporizer Dealer.

On June 2 I ordered 12 flexicones and 12 o-ring screens. I didn't receive any shipping notification so I wrote 3 emails in the space of 2 weeks asking for a shipping confirmation. I finally received a phone call after the third email but still didn't receive shipping confirmation. I had to send a 4th email to finally get my shipping confirmation after waiting 2 weeks.

When my order finally arrived it was completely wrong. Slide4Less sent 12 of the long flexicone+ (not flexicone) and 12 regular screens (not the o-ring screens I ordered). Since then I have sent them 12 emails (mostly ignored) and spoken on the phone 4 times with either the owner Darren or someone else in customer service.

Darren promised almost 6 weeks ago to send me the items I ordered along with a prepaid shipping label to return the wrong items I was sent. He never did this and has never answered any more of my emails. He told me something about suing Hermes for items he didn't receive and I understand that he ins't on good terms with Hermes. Rhonda from Slide4Less just told me they were going to stop carrying MiniVAP and accessories.

Whatever the case, my experience with Slide4Less has been very similar to my experience with Hermes. Lots of ignored emails and many hours of my time spent dealing with horrible customer service.

I should have waited until @stickstones had MV accessories in. You can't count on Hermes to send what you order and I guess the same can be said about Slide4Less. I'm so glad to hear that @stickstones is carrying MV accessories! No reason to go anywhere else.

Sorry about your bad experiences... this is exactly why I like buying directly from the source. I get my Lotus from Max, my Nano from Epic (not Massdrop), and a soon-to-be-mine Minivap direct from Stickstones.

Retailers' reputations are all out in the open on FC, and the BEST OF THE BEST are Proven. Stick with the FC family for safest transactions and trusted customer support.... anything else IMO is a bit of a gamble that is generally not worth the few dollars saved.

Slide4less just informed me they are only selling used MV's with no warranty (but will "take care of you" for the first few months should anything happen). That's really too bad to hear about Hermes...stuff like this can make or break a company.

I wouldn't put much faith in Slide4Less's promises to "take care of you". The owner Darren promised me several things he never followed through on. I've been trying for weeks to talk to him and he won't reply to emails. Today I called the number he told me was his personal "cell phone" and it turned out to be a VOIP telephony number that kept cutting out when Rhonda answered.

Until @stickstones started carrying MV accessories, I don't think there were any other options aside from Silde4Less and Hermes. @stickstones is also not "directly from the source" but he would certainly be my first choice for a new MiniVAP.

If your Minivap were to break, would you replace it?

I have a shortlist of only 2-3 vapes that I will always replace and keep operational.

I'm not sure I know the answer to that question. It took me nearly 6 months to finally get a working core and battery after my initial order last November. I only have a few months of reliable service from my MV but because of Hermes' turtle speed customer service I am already less than 3 months from the end of my warranty.

If my unit should fail soon after my warranty expires and Hermes doesn't replace it I would have a hard time feeling good about buying another one. I could probably be happy with just my Herbalizer (home) and Arizer Air (away).

Well I got the full rundown on the MV tonight and am pretty ready to purchase once funds allow. This is far more costly than I imagined I was getting into but I don't think I will be satisfied without the portable power, power adapter, case, extra cartridges etc. From conversations, it seems this is going to put total over $600+ to get me out the door... fuckin eek, but I'm going to make something happen by the end of month.

How many baskets do you all have and keep in rotation?
I wonder how many fit in a Jyarz classic or satchmo...

He answered my PM within a day....pretty shady that they are still advertising all that MV inventory on their website. My biggest turn-on was the 60 day money back guarentee! I think @stickstones may be the ONLY resource to purchase from other than Hermes.

This is SO true! Most people have their beloved one or two (or three) vapes that they just can't live without. At this point for me it's the Mighty....I don't even think the MV could replace it for me regardless of flavour.

This is all kind of a bummer to hear about Hermes customer service.... especially considering the heavy cost of this vape....@stickstones sounds like the best deal, and that's nearly $1000cdn!

Also curious what the consensus is on airflow? I remember when I tried it I felt like it was kinda tough and I really had to pull hard on it.

Air flow is very dependent on how firm you pack the basket. I lightly pack a large basket and air flow is never an issue and I have to pull less than I do with my Crafty by a bit.
