Just got both my GH's...its semi sweet.

One(The early Bird) has a long scratch and a burn mark(?).

The second one looks like a rat bit it....and has a couple other imperfections, also the battery chamber WILL NOT OPEN(Funny part is this is the one I ordered an extra battery with...).

Yeah....probably gonna shoot them an email...ugh.

Good news is they work, it does get very hot at setting 3, I recommended the mouthpiece, I haven't gone further yet, can't comment on taste yet since I have a bitter taste in my mouth for 2 days now lol...

Pics? I can't imagine what a rat-bit GH looks like. Also, where is the burn mark? Are you going to send both back or keep one?

I find this whole thing with units arrived damaged very troubling...I know if my color arrives all scratched up I will not in any way be pleased...

To show the rat bits it doesn't come up well, just looks like a small round hole that goes in....what I imagine a rat bit on metal would look like if a rat had metal teeth, the early backer one is fully viewable by photo:

Gonna send them an email in a bit, I just woke up, don't wanna sound crazy lol.

Edit: 2nd GH photos:

Those dots are dents that GO IN, I know hard to see in photos....you can feel them well enough.

Their QC needs to catch this BEFORE it gets out the door. I hope they send you replacements immediately and before you send yours back (an exception for the early bird and poor QC).

Sent them an email....will let you guys know what happens.

"Hello I just received both my grasshoppers, both came with scratches, dents, and what appears to be a burn mark on one. The one I ordered with an extra battery has an even worse issue, the back end to replace the battery will not come off, I had multiple people try.

My order numbers ID's are: 15306 and 13161.I am putting this email out now but will not be able to send in the defective models since I am moving from my current residents in 3-6 days depending.

I enclosed photos of the GH's I received, I noticed the issues right away, I hope for no other issues with them.I hope I can just be have the replacements sent to my new location when I get there, I am sending this email now as a heads up that I will need them replaced and its not due to any misuse of my own.

Both do function as they should(Besides ones backside not coming off oddly) but to me this is still very bad, they look almost used....

Thank You,

Hillary Clinton(Alright I didn't put this part haha)"

I had a little Grasshopper box arrive on my doorstep today. Never got a shipping confirmation - glad I got home first and not someone else.

It arrived in perfect shape - that sucks on those that have been banged up.

SS - early bird. I like it, it's a different way of smoking for me - like a repeat action one hitter. Fill it and get multiple one hits.... It does seem to be stronger effect-wise and the flowers seem to last longer -I medicate fairly heavily and my initial reaction is less flowers is equaling more medicated. Have only tried at setting 3 - good clouds... does get pretty warm.

I'll post more thoughts after I've had a few days to use it in the other thread.

So I was a July ship date and now that has come and gone. Its good to know that Trevor has been faster to refund than he has to actually supply this vape. I have so many good machines that I might just like having money instead of "high" hopes. Where's that FU thread at anyway.............

I am gonna keep a cool head for now, but yes they need to CHECK everything going out the door for now, thus figuring out who is the bad workers and stopping the flow of bad GH's.
That's what I'm hoping is the case with these damaged units, they just have a shitty worker and they'll get rid of him/her and then it will never happen again..

Are you talking about the assembly person? Because that kind of pitting and burn mark sounds like it happened during manufacturing. Assuming they aren't using titanium toothed rats as @HillaryClinton suggested.

What's really interesting is what their QC standards are. At what point do they look at a TI or SS body, and say "good enough". If they throw out any part that looks flawed, that pile could get pretty large. And yes, I'm suggesting GHL start a re-manufactured or "slightly dinged" sale. :brow: But new customers should get new-looking, new-acting, and just plain new hoppers.

With a sleek design, the hopper might make dings and pits might be more apparent.

It's odd, I mean I have gotten plenty of vapes, some straight out of China(Xmax,Imgplus) and they came without any dings, marks, or rat bites(Best I could describe it, little holes that go through slightly).

Honestly you would think the people assembling would notice and be like hey...and grab another piece that isn't messed up.

Also like I said, ones back end where the battery goes won't even come off, how does that go unnoticed, has to be the assembly guy no?

Yep that
...back in the 70's when I worked for the Post Office (Letter Carrier), the LSM (Letter Sorting Machine) operators were all cokeheads, the Carriers were either drunks (most of the old guys...it killed the pain from walking so much every day) or potheads... or both (me...more pot than drinking by far)

Not sure what it's like now...couldn't stay in that job...am extremely familiar with the term Going Postal...it would have been me if I had stayed...to much crazy ass bullshit from supervisors.

70's Colomian gold and Thai stick yum rrmember it like ot was yesterday.

Went through the first load, gotta admit it vapes well but even at heat 2 it burns my lips after 2-4 pulls, not sure about one, I never go that low. The silicone mouthpiece works well, perfect fit and I think it works well, it gets to hot even with that for my friend, which I find odd, betting everyone's gonna feel different about it.

I started at 2, went to 3(When I added the silicone). then 4, then upped to 5, the back and front get pretty hot around 3-4, the middle stays warm but very holdable.

That's after 15 draws by way of all settings. It was loosely packed, amazing air flow also.

Haven't seen to many good pics yet, it is for sure a good one hitter, I think I will be happy when I get both in perfect condition....

Wait it out, I think they are trying to do good and it does function...no burnt herb for instance.

Let us remember, this is a new company, this is not really to unusual. I am in no way bashing them at all, I am just a bit annoyed, lets wait and see how they fix this.

It's not bashing to say that sending out scratched and rat bit items is simply not OK . When you buy something in "new" condition, it should be pristine. We all know that a scratch on the outside is not going to effect performance, but, c'mon.
Not being able to unscrew it is a whole nother level though, way beyond the cosmetic.

You are doing admirably well keeping cool about all this! I hate to admit it, but I'd probably be here trashing GHL if this all happened to me.

Last company I trashed was EVGA(GPU stopped working in 4 months, they would not pay return shipping), got my way but felt annoyed I had to get mean lol....

I hope to never have to do trashing again...
