I drop screen and all into ISO and then bath of PBW. I never pull screens. It has been over a year or so. My Daughter on the other hand pushes, burn, crinkles and goes though screens like nobody's business. (Andy's really) I have exhorted, explained, demonstrated and wept. She is a crunch-berry no matter what I do.

You can get away with it for a bit, but IME it is tough to get the grime on the sides between screen and glass. And, think PBW is a bit of overkill here. Then again, maybe that would clean those tough spots.

Ive tried that hot water technique and it works!

I cant really do the iso one because I always feel like there is iso residue left. Ive tried everything unlimited rinses, blow drying it, not as much iso, mixing the iso with water and.......nothing! the smell and taste is still there. So I gave up on that and thought of different methods.

The method I use is a mixture between vinegar, hot water and then real lemon juice to neutralize the smell and taste of vinegar.

Wait, theres a method to my madness. I do this for a variety of reasons, to rid of bacteria, to rid of fungus, as mentioned the water in the faucets never get THAT HOTT. I know this is not 100% but it works for me.

If its the inside of the bubbler, I use this mix with rice sometimes, they do get stuck. It does leave the inner side of the bubbler sparkling clean after that, since its similar to a scrubbing motion and causes some friction. I was thinking of using beans, something not so small. I have been looking for sometype of scrubbing beads that are non toxic, but havent really found anything.

I have also found putting some pressure on the water coming out the faucet with your finger and spray the bottom side of the basket helps fling stuff out. I look up into the light to see if all has been removed. It usually works. If seems really gunky you might want to take some mini brushes, even a toothbrush you dont use and brush it.

I don't know about this..... I have a very low tolerance for anything "chemical". Even get a bit faint with cleaning products that have a little bleach or ammonia. But, have never had any problem rinsing ISO off with hot tap water. Trust me, if I don't get it all rinsed out of a GonG or bubbler that first hit sends me into coughing fits. Vinegar doesn't seem to have the same cleaning power, nor do citrus cleaners. But hey, if it works for you I'm glad you found something!

Your guy is gonna hate how little business you give him, now. ;) Congrats on conserving.

That's for sure. Even a bit worse for me. I used to go in with a friend or two on a larger bag and split it. Still do on rare occasion, but they were a little pissed I wasn't ready as often after I started vaping. Once I got my nano? It was the same every couple weeks... What? You're not ready yet? WTF, did you quit or what? Funny thing is, one still refuses to vape because, and get this "It ain't worth it! I can make bowls for free and rolling papers are cheap." Yeah... he's a fuckin rocket scientist! Got another friend turned on to the nano, so she gets it now. And, another good friend has a da Buddha, so him not so much.

@Neceros Check out the vapor related equipment for storing cannabis. Look into the CVault.

The Nano will save you on product a 1/4 lb will last a long time.
Getting ready to medicate with the Nano some Dairy Queen strain.

EDIT
When you call Epicvape you get to actually talk to a person and not a machine. They answer the phone the old fashioned way, unless they are on another line.

I think a lot of folks get a little caught up on setting a number, but my sweet spot changes with each strain. I tone it down a bit for water use, as I take much bigger draws and would otherwise scorch.

Exactly! Our Nano's become such personal partners that no two are ever used precisely the same way! My personal use is as unique as a finger print ;-)

I'm the opposite. Without water, I have to turn it down otherwise my lungs scorch. Heat is one of the leading causes of breathing disorders. Even though you're not inhaling smoke, if the vapor is hot on your lungs you're literally turning them into leather, which reduces the surface area of flesh that allows conversion of oxygen.

I have bad lungs, so I can feel it when something is a bit too hot. I can't use a pipe for this reason, it's way too hot.

Though it may be counter-intuitive to what you are saying, I'd like to strenuously recommend that you try using warm water rather than cool in your preferred water tool. Boy are you going to be surprised at how smooooth the inhale can be ...and more flavorful!!!

Holy f'ing nano! And it's my first day...

Glad it came in. If you're still able later, let us know how you like it. ;)

C-vaults are awesome! I use mine for what's "on the table". For longer term storage I use mason jars with a Boveda pack and just enough vacuum to seal the lid. Keep them in a cool, dark place and your stash will stay fresh as when you put it in for at least 4 months. Haven't done much more than that without opening, but would guess they'd go at least a few more months with no degradation. Have had great luck with a bit more of a vacuum and no Boveda pack, also. Heat, light and oxygen are the biggest things you have to watch out for. Moisture loss can be an issue if not airtight, too. As long as you keep these things under control you should be good to go!

@Bravesst ... Learn from my mistakes and take this tip to heart. If you have that much on hand and it is good stuff, store it in separate containers. I'd advise no more than 1/2 z each if practical, maybe even less. Depending on density, you should be able to put 1/2 z or close to it in a 1/2 pint jar. That way you can work from one jar until it is empty and leave the rest sealed. If you put it all in one container, you'll be introducing oxygen and whatnot every time you open. Mason jars are cheap and this little puppy will allow you to vacuum seal any easily (or most used jars for that matter). Just don't create so much vacuum you start popping resin-heads. Amazon used to have them, but didn't see them on a quick look. But, can still get one from the manufacturer here.

Plenty of great uses in the kitchen, too! One of the best $30 or so I've spent.

Right now its all broken into one oz. Lrge 62rh boveda or to in each. All hygrometers from 62 to 66 so far (it 90% humidity out, but I have central air. Stored in a mason jars in tight dark seeled case. I will def look int'l vac seal and breaking down to half z's, but z's do not get open.

@Bravesst dont vape that 1/4 pound too fast. Glad you are having a good time and enjoying vaporizing. I was excited too when I first discovered all these great vaporizing gadgets. I thought what the hell took me so damn long. You save so much bud when you vaporize compared to blazing.

Glad you're on the winning team.:leaf:Happy Thursday vaporists one more work day for most.

The Nano is a good choice for a desk top.

mine just arrived but my GonG adapter it came with won't fit onto the nano :(. The glass stem fits mostly fine, but its hard to get on and off. The 18mm GonG won't fit at all. Suggestions?

Contact epic. Best bet probably Nadia. nadia@epcivape.com.

There have been a few problems with stems recently, but think this is first we've heard here of same issue with a GonG. Thought they had this one cleared up, but apparently not. Really hope they can find a good, dependable glass blower soon!

In the meantime, others with this issue have had some luck using the problem glass. Get it lined up as best you can and probably have to kick the heat up, or push screen closer (or both) to compensate.

Or someone with a Nano and a 3D printer finds access to a high temperature food safe material to 3D print

Trust me, I'm hard at work looking for an affordable high temp material to work with, as soon as I do, I'll be making my own exotic GonG adapters for the Nano

Shapeways prints in metal and ceramic, might be a good solution if you don't mind spending $100 on an adapter

3D printed metal isn't food safe, and 3D printed ceramic is no longer available from shapeways (I did have several ceramic products made before it was discontinued - print quality was mediocre). I'm currently waiting on them to release Porcelain which is in beta testing

@CarolKing I know exactly what you mean about having more and just LOVING to vape, even with crazy efficiency, I can consume a lot. I find I get that way when I get a new strain or vape (or accessory). I'm assuming it's all part of the VAS issue.

Okay, first off, works great! It takes a while to start cranking, but once it gets there, it's good clean vape for a long time. I've been sampling different strains, and back and forth a bit with the AA. Everything about it is great, but I do miss portability a drop (AA / Solo can balance that).

I feel a bit of my OCD act up because I'm not sure what I'm doing (screen distance, cleaning, all variables). With Solo and Air I am now in my comfort zone, almost unable to get a bad session. I know how to keep it clean, and working perfectly, very content with it.

Nano, awesome as it is, I'm a noob, and don't want to 'MESS IT UP', but I'm sure I'll learn it just as well as my Arizers in no time - even now I love it to death. Bad part, this vape is still "undercover" as the other half hasn't found out about another VAS venture. Eventually she will, I have the stand on the way!

Bottom Line, I love it and look forward to some great sessions.

Just ordered it. For now, I am going to store in 3, 1 oz, in quart mason jars that I won't open. When I do, I'll break down into smaller amounts. I'll some of each strain in small jars to vape over the next month. Maybe at that point I'll switch it all to smaller jars. I have boveda and hygrometers in each jar I can check without opening. Beside the fact it's like 90 % humidity today, my weed is all under 64RH with boveda.

My hygrometers sit loosely, in SS small glass cups to prevent any contact with herb. All is kept in a dark case, closed tight with more boveda. House is central air, so temp / humidity better inside. RH in room 65% temp 70 degrees.

Thanks for the great info, I'll keep a close eye on jars without opening!

I don't really worry about the Boveda packs touching material, but put a small piece of cardboard in to keep them from being in direct contact. Pack sits on one side of jar.

Keep the jars in a cool, dark place, and you should be good to go. Too much humidity can be bad too (especially for mildew growth, etc). But even a box in a damp basement is fine, because you're sealed up tight.

If you're using regular jars for your "on table" stash, just throw it in a drawer or something so it isn't sitting out in light.

I have to echo all the positive comments of new owners. Through water this thing blows my mind!

Whereas my Mighty will thoroughly vape bud to a tannish-brown, the nano can make less than half the amount required for one Mighty bowl vaped to a near-black AVB. Call me crazy, but a pinch of bud in this thing gets me higher than my Mighty!

I'm extremely jealous of all you with medical recs who can pick and choose their strains. Oh man, it would be amazing to pick out a nice CBD-rich indica for nano use, since the taste and vapor are so damn good and it can extract more of the CBD...

Wouldn't call you crazy at all! Kind of glad to hear it! This is what I've figured based on much reading in the Mighty (& Crafty) threads, but always get pounced on when I suggest it because I always admit I haven't tried one.

Hopefully you'll have a chance to try some other strains in it just by luck. nano seems to preserve profiles EXTREMELY well, so flavor and effect are awesome and IMO easier to distinguish than with other vapes I've used. Flavor is better dry, but I couldn't agree more.... through water the nano is a beast! Once you get a good feel for it, play around and tweak a little. Can be surprising how much the smallest tweaks of screen height and dial setting can have an effect.
