Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Guys, sorry to hear about some of the problems being discussed here. Hopefully you already know this but we take the feedback seriously. In fact the V3 will address these points. Details will be available shortly. We are producing a video to highlight the changes.

@purplehelmeted Bushwacker I'm sorry to hear your Haze sits in a box. Please PM me with what's going on there so we can address your concerns.

@Mainoffender I'm not sure how you could get any plastic in the airpath since it is a solid stainless tube. We need to have a look at the unit so we can find out what's going on.

@Devo360 you can wait until the V3 hits to determine if the improvements are worth it to you. You don't need to decide now. Again, details coming soon so please stand by.
I don't know either Scott. Still able to use the other chamber and when I cleaned it again no plastic bits. I saved them anyways and will send in along with the unit after I contact Hailey at Haze (I only mention Hailey since she's responded to my emails in the past). Like I said the switch went from feeling spongy whenever it was thrown to now being way too easy. Now the question is do I send it in now or wait for V3? I'm afraid if I get this one repaired the same things going to happen 4 months down the road.

On the turn-off issue - yes, I've also experienced it, and I think it has something to do with over-heating. It's only happened to me when the unit was at "4" and quite hot. I could turn it back on, but then it would turn off in a minute or so. It's never done it to me during a normal, even long, session on "3".

Question for anyone using the e-juice pads - has anyone used Puff Majic e-liquid mixer combined with shatter, and vaped it in the Haze using one of the cans w/ pad?

I've used a can for shatter before, but I've found that anything more than a small piece tends to "boil" out the top a bit (and gets inside the main unit). What I want is the ability to have several sessions worth of concentrate available to me throughout the day, in addition to a filled herb can. So I'm thinking if I can dissolve concentrates into e-juice and soak a pad, I might be god for several sessions without the mess. Will this work??

It depends on your luck as well as how the unit is handled I guess. I was rough on my Solo when I owned it and i clogged it several times while experimenting different strains on it. I have been much better with my Haze and I do have all versions including the very first one with the silicone seals. I am still using it after almost a year without issues. Other than the frequent cleaning of the mouthpiece and the air path, it does not require much but I am very careful with the concentrates in order to keep it clean. If you experience particles in the air path, you most probably broke your switch up top.
Good to know Trevor. A year of use is pretty good considering the temperature extremes these things endure. Guess I just got a defective unit. I do clean it every day and don't use concentrates (can't find a supplier here or I would). Also good to know Haze stands behind their product if and when these things do happen.

Freudian slip or really good herb?

Really good shatter

I should also note that shatter works really good in the unit, and I have put in enough for more than one session, but it's a fine line on how much is "too much".

I was also thinking that if I converted the shatter into an e-liquid that it might not "shellac" the can as much. My fear was that the e-liquid combo might not vape as efficiently on the pad.

Fortunately, the master Vitolo has already tested this..

I still prefer sandwich method. .1-0.2g herb mixed with liquid or shatter in the can. I fill one chamber with this combo. The other one I place dry herb only, especially if I have an old stock which I want to consume or even pollen packed really tight. The taste from shatter mix is amazing and flip between chambers in the session.

I also love this method. My favorite treat except I have a case that holds 15 cans. I use the sandwich method with 6 cans then mix them up with dry herb cans. Once I put them in the case in a random order its a game of Russian roulette. Sometimes I win and others I really win.

I used do that with my Iolite. Very effective way to medicate.

Has anybody else had problems with the stainless steel heating bowl sea sticking to the silicon lids and popping off? I understand sticky residue is bound to build up there and cause this problem if I don't clean, but this is happening every session, often times before I've even had a chance to clean. This is occurring with various concentrates, temp setting 2 & 3.

So far I'm semi-impressed. This isn't a big improvement over my Iolite, but that's dead.

If your talking about the bit on the honeycomb door (with the two metal plates on it) it shouldn't come off that easy IME, I run concentrates in the can at temp four and have never had that problem (lids sticking to plates) and I don't clean the plates that often (just a quick wipe with my finger after use most times) I have taken that part off (just to see if I could put it back on :mental:) and it's not too easy to fit back properly, most of it just pushes back on but there are two flaps that have to be put in place from the outside of the honeycomb door, it's hard to explain but if you push that part back on and then look from the outside of the door you should see the bits I'm talking about.

If it is this part and what I have said doesn't make too much sense (I confuse myself sometimes) I can take mine apart and post pics to show tomorrow.

Edit: I think I'm too baked and have confused myself, is it the silicone lids that are popping off or the bit that is attached to the door (with the two plates) ?

The silicone lids are staying put, it's the part that is attached to the honeycomb door that is popping off (part #7 in the picture on their website). Ironically, you would think the lids would pop off. It must be sealing around the edges or the lids would pop off. I've got on there good now, so if pops off again, I'm probably gonna have to send it in. Has anybody else experienced this problem?

So far I'm semi-impressed; overall they've got the right idea and have done a decent job at executing it, but I think there are little details missing. The cans are sure to leak concentrate if you put them in your pocket immediately after a pull, which kinda kills the "stealth" thing. At least it's small enough to palm, but I'd rather be able to slip in my pocket after a quick draw. I'd like to see the cans/ovens rotated 90 degrees.

On the plus side it is small and the vapor is much cooler than with my Iolite. It is effective at vaporizing whatever you put in it. I did experience what I think is a battery issue and Haze responded immediately by sending a new battery, so customer service is top notch so far. Good customer service goes a long way.

Hi All,

Newb here, to the site as well as vaping , but hey better late than never !
Just had delivery of my Haze and cannot wait to try it.

I believe its the 2.5 version , which is what i ordered but is there anyway i can tell the difference visually to clarify?

Thanks

I have had the problem with one oven turning off mid-session. I got no satisfaction from customer service, who said the reason it was shutting off was because of a low battery. That was obviously not the problem, as it does it with a freshly charged battery. I'm kind of p.o.'d about the situation, but I love my Haze otherwise. I'm limping along with one functional oven.

Welcome to FC

I don't have my box/book handy but I think it should have 2.5 on the book that comes with it, if not contact haze with serial number and they should confirm the version.

The other great thing with the haze is the upgrade program (I think $99, one off payment and you get every new version when it comes out by sending your unit in)

If you haven't already the best of thread is a good read

Good luck and let us know how you get on:tup:

OOC - what was customer service person's response when you told him/her it was a newly and fully charged battery?

@Purrito Purrpants I am checking into your situation and following up on the oven turning off in general. Please stand by.

@ThatGuyZA welcome to the family! We haven't had anything but the 2.5 for some time now so you should be safe especially if you purchased from an authorized seller. Please let us know if any questions.

Great thank you
I bought it from Namaste Vaporizers so I trust it is the 2.5

I will definitely do so :)
Really eager to fire this up ! Will feedback once i do !

Hello everyone!

I'm new here on the forum, but I've been sneaking around the forum for about 10 months or so.
In February I got myself a Haze 2.5 after reading a lot of useful information on this forum.

I've been suffering from lymes disease for quite some time, and herbs have been my godsend
to alleviate symptoms.

The Haze vaporizer has increased the benefits I get from the herbs. Before I got the Haze
I was mixing the herb with tobacco, which could tend to make my symptoms a bit worse before
they got better. And it obviously isn't the best way to medicate.

And one of the best features is that I can medicate without going outside. I use it in my bedroom,
and no one has ever noticed.

I want to thank the people at Haze for an amazing product!

But I have one thing in mind;

If something goes wrong with the unit, or I want to join the upgrade program and I have to send
it in, isn't there a big risk that the unit will be stopped in the customs?

I live in Europe. The country I live in isn't known for exporting anything illegal, I don't live in Marocco
so to say (no offense), it's more of a consumer country if you know what I mean. So stuff being
sent into my country are strictly controlled, but I'm not sure if they are so tight about whats being
sent out of the country.

Do you have any experience with shipments to and from Europe?

Best wishes to you all and thanks for creating an awesome forum!

I had my Haze shut down mid session, right after I put in a freshly recharged battery. I was finishing off a can at level 4 heat so its possible that the heat may be an issue. Im going to try to keep track of heat settings when my Haze shuts down to see if theres a consistent pattern. I think I may mark my batteries to see if the shut downs are tied to a particular battery, as well. Maybe this forum thread, and the information regarding this issue will be of some help to Haze. Fortunately this is more of an annoyance than anything else as I can turn the Haze back on and finish my session, in most cases.

Concerning the 99.00 upgrade, I invested in that. My question is will the new Haze still be compatible with the older Haze cans and screens? I love having all my extra containers filled up and ready, night time and day time herb specifically marked, lol. Was actually thinking about investing in more containers (I have a total of 10 now) but thought I better find out if the cans will be interchangeable.

I have a case that holds 15 cans
What kind of case do you have that holds 15 cans, my "Key chain case" that I got from Haze only holds 10 cans.
