I seem a post a few above mine where someone was talking about it was not good to leave them on the charging dock. I know often times when I done with a session I just plug it back it and more less forget about it until I'm ready to use it again. Is there something else I should be doing....

It's your call, of course. Batteries are cheap and easy to replace so it's less an issue than say Solo.

The idea is to avoid 100% charge. For instance, charge it up then run a session. That should put you at 75% or so charge, ideal for storage (that's the level they ship to you, right?).

At 100% charge they can loose capacity fast, especially if it's hot.

I suggest getting another factory battery as a spare and enjoying your Air.

Thanks I've heard the same thing about cell-phone batteries, so I defiantly see how that could be true. Once the battery reaches 100%, is there still power being sent to the unit or does it have some type of a bypass cut off switch. If you do like you said have a session and put it up and off the charge how long will it hold that charge while turned off?

You're welcome. Yes, the charge cuts off. The problem is it's at 100%. There's also usually a small current still flowing that does two things, it is used to detect the battery and it's used to 'unlock' dead batteries that have been cut off for protection.

No need to worry about 'self discharge' with this class of battery, given reasonable temperatures it will still retain most of the charge 6 or more months out.

Hey guys, quick question. I just turned on my Air and both LED's lit up blue and stayed on. Couldn't change temp or anything. I shut it off and turned it back on and it works fine.

Any idea what the two blue lights mean?

IIRC it means you rushed it too much....trying to set the temperature?

Try it again and slow down would be my advice. Let it boot up.

can someone explain the presets on this thing? I'll have one set and it seems to show it when I turn it on but it just goes blue and doesn't seem to heat up. I always have to press the buttons up to get it to work. So what am I doing wrong?

Deciding which strains to sell off a bit (got like six), so I'm sampling bits of each. I got tired of grinding each one, so a broke of a tiny nug. I've been storing with Boveda 62's so nothing is really wet or dry. First I started with Solo, but switch to my Air. I think the Solo is a bit better with nugs, but both got super vapor from a zero ground nugget. I've been killing the bowls a bit early, dumping the nuggets for revaping (after crumbling). Air get its done again.

Is there a way to tell what level the charge is at? I have looked through my box several times and didn't find any kind of users guide or one with really any info on it. There was one that was just a front and back of a piece of paper, it only had very basic instructions. They didn't even have a list of the temperature settings by color.

When I turn my Air on, the light that flashes represents the battery. Mines a newer model though, so it might be different for older ones.

As far as I can tell:

Green- full battery
Pinkish white- half battery
Yellow orange- low battery.

I'm curious to see how my unit differs from others

Thanks for the quick reply.... I notice it will get up to green fairly quickly, but it seems to take forever for it to get to 100% and the green light stop blinking. I've heard of some batteries charging to 75-80% fairly quickly and then taking quite some time to charge the rest of the way to the full 100%. Does anyone knowif the Air charges fairly similar?

It does. Most of this stuff has actually been discussed in the last few pages, man. XD You'd do good to read through them (and the Best Of Air Thread as well) - there's a wealth of information if you look for it. :)

So to finish up on my nugget method. Did about 6 super small nuggets in both air and solo. Dumped all bowls at under 10 min, but got to top temp. Collected all 6 abvs and crushed in small jar. Revaped in Air short stem at green red for a total second session, and what looks like 6 more stemfuls. Nice higher temp for eve. Great method for me. I'm always amazed at the flexibility of Arizer portables.

I apologize if I am late to the party with this but I noticed this a few days ago:

Has anyone given this a chance?
I might have to give this a try.

For the $0.30 more I like this one alittle better. I feel like treating myself so why not :lol::lol::lol:

Reporting back on playing with strains and nugget tech.

Started with 6 strains. Used a tiny full nugget (had a hard timing weighing them, but about .04 - my scale didn't want to register less).
Tried various ways to go through the bud (blue, green, red), but never past one 10 minute session (maybe a little less), but numerous (10??) hits.
I dumped all nuggets, still whole, into a small SS cup, and crumbled with them really well.
Back to loading stems with what seemed like a gram or two (I know it weighed less, but judging by volume) of crumbled semi-ABV.
Each pack I started at green, went to orange or red, and got about 10 more flavorful hits.
I couldn't finish it all, had to go to bed!

It's as if I vaped the same weed twice, with the second round being a bit more "sedative"....
[EDIT] I think what's really helped me out here is the Boveda packs I've been using, getting the herb to as close to 62RH as possible. Vapes great at this RH.

Does anyone know for sure that they will fit? What is the dimension of the Air / Solo stems?

is that even a AA compatible? Looks very much like the vapefiend microbubbler - except for the missing air stream carvings and notches

Yepper, but need to do an EGO to Solo stem mod. You will find all kinds of glass for this size on Fastech.
Pretty much the only piece I use now. More draw than the plastic tip stem but less than the open glass stems.

Yep, got a couple day before yesterday in fact. So far they work just fine. IMO not quite as well as the DH Gate one:

but that one is bigger with 'better holes'.

Sorta. I used a short piece of 3/8 ID, 1/2 OD silicone tube to mate to the plastic topped stems. Until Pipes produces some of his adapters for us, this works OK.

BTW you should note the fancy colored ones have a tab of colored glass sticking out which becomes 'the highest thing' making the OD bigger than necessary and providing something convenient to 'snap off' in an accident. I think the plain clear one makes a better choice in most cases?

Oh yeah, had just some time with my air, equipped with the shiny-new lookin micro bubbler (PBW) and featured by @Bravesst nug style bowl :D

I must say I have a niiice buzz - went up to green which is unusual for me, but this time was a good choice.
I feel so relaxed and am enjoying that this board has a dark background and so my eyes can kinda handle this screen - and I see a pretty buzzed guy writes euphorically in here that he likes his buzz and enjoys his shining AA:hmm::brow:

Guys have a good day:wave:
