(i'm still using my old broken p2 'cause i ain't got a clue how to send vids online in my email, newer to this computer stuff then vaporizing stuff)

:peace:
Do they require a video for the warranty?

You two make me wanna spend money. Seems like a great way to get a hit or two when otherwise impossible..

It's a great vape for the times when you shouldn't vape. I never get funny looks when using it out and about. Get on the Discreet Vape mailing list. Every couple of months I get an E-mail about the Puff-it 2 on sale for $79.99, free shipping.

Do they require a video for the warranty?

Either a video or sending the herb chamber part overseas for them to check it out to cover the warranty.

Been using mine today and now when starting a bowl cold it gives me warning buzzes and the lights cycle a bit for four pushes then always starts working on the fifth push, but on that fifth push it only takes 3-4 buzzes before its up to temp vaping. It's still working well once it starts.

Did five bowls with the same results and once I start a bowl I can either blast through the bowl in minutes or sit back with it and take a hit or two every five minutes or so working my way up from the second to the forth temp for a forty five minute session, worked every time just as it should. For another couple bowls I let it sit a few times for ten to twenty minutes between hits and it gave me the eight warning buzzes again each time i tried to hit it again for just four presses then starts again and works on the fifth. (keep the chamber warm once it starts heating again and it keeps working normal, it seems)

 it still works well for it's purpose right now, but it just ain't like when new when it worked perfectly for a real quick hit or two as it takes a minute now to get it started and up to temp when it's starting cold not horrible really but it's not the ten or fifteen seconds when its working right either.

Pulled the trigger on a Puffit 2 for 89.90€ on vaposhop, 10% discount.
Got a spare battery as well.
My portable ATM is a Crafty but since my pattern of use is usually just a toke and off, I think I can be better served with a Puffit.

@justcametomind just keep in mind that the hits from the P2 are much lighter then the crafty(i haven't used a crafty just judging from videos). I know you have experience with the magic flight and the hits are lighter with the p2 then with it.

For decent taste I've found I have to start on temp 2 for 3-4 hits then I bump it up to 3 for 5 or so hits and finish a load on 4 for 5 or so more hits. On temps 1-3 the visible vapor output is slight but the effects are there, on temp 4 you get more visible vapor but if I start out there the taste is less then good.

Battery life is exceptional with the puffit 2 though and it is handy to pull off a couple quick hits almost anywhere you want to.

The plastic body has a distinct plastic taste/smell which can be minimized by soaking in warm soapy water and rinsing it off for a few days but I don't believe it will ever go away completely and is the biggest drawback to this vape in my opinion.

it serves it's purpose for me quite well, better then I thought it would actually but will never really replace my mflb as my go-to one hit on the go vape in most situations. I have to go this afternoon for blood work and some other tests at the hospital and the puffit 2 will be in my pocket since I need to be there for 6-8 hours at least, and in situations like that the puffit 2 is hard to beat.

Just got my unit this morning, I'm charging the battery.
Yes the smell from the case is quite gross ATM.
I didn't plan to replace the Crafty quality-wise with a Puffit, but I wanted to give it a try after reading positive reviews.
I wanted a vape that doesn't need a lot of herb to do the job, that doesn't get me so wasted as the Crafty does, and doesn't die on me so soon.

First, I registered the unit at www.discreetvape.com/warranty. Then I sent an email to customer.service@discreetvape.com. They replied within 24 hours asking for a video as proof of the sensor error. I sent that in (shot the video on my iphone, plugged it into my PC to copy it over and attached it to the email) and another 24 hours later, I had a confirmation that they are sending a replacement.

So, the smell wasn't so much of s problem to me. On a warm unit when inhaling it wasn't disgusting to smell it or anything.
I have a blue cover maybe the black one is different? Black, China made, cheap items always smell a lot.
As a first test, hits where very wispy, I immediately went to temp 4. I'll try with a more packed bowl.
I already ordered the ecig thing and some more items from the official site.
I really like the form factor, we could ask a glass blower to make a glass dark blue inhaler!

OMG yesh i was waiting for some 1 to pick up the e liquid module, tell me if its anygood <3
85% of the plasticy taste is gone if you soak the housing in hot soapy water overnight hope that helps.
tbh (i cant taste any plastic anymore prob cause i got use 2 it or 2 much weed went through this thing)

I'm using it with no empty priming or washes since day one. The first hit or 2 had a bit of plastic taste but not so unpleasant. I still have to abuse on it but so far this smell was not a problem to me.
I heard there was a bho module on development but I think it actually was the e juice module.

Probably it was already stated along the thread: hit really really slow is the key to visible vapor and bigger hits.
Consider "sucking hard" from this vape as if drawing too much fast from the mflb. It cools the chamber and hits are wispy.
If you really take your time, you make extraction possible because the heating element and the chamber stay warm enough.
I just wanted to share my discovery.
Fine mflb grind and top quality weed also help.
I wonder how it's like with some BHO on a cotton ball. If nothing happens I can always heat it on a Crafty.

Unrelated:
Tried one hit at 3 after opening the box, since then the temp has always been on 4.
Is there a way to tell how much juice is in the battery?

:nope:Someone hasn't done his reading yet.... :goon:

:lol:Just messin with you brother. I had the same problem until @snorcan helped me out.

Yeah the battery indicator I'd finicky. You gotta hold it until the lights stop scrolling, then keep holding until the lights stay lit.

Lot's of good info in this thread and thanks for contributing.
One last thing, if you like the Puff-it2 so far you're gonna love the glass adapter.

Happy Vaping!!!

I wonder how it's like with some BHO on a cotton ball.

It should have come with a attachment to go in the bowl to do BHO and other concentrates, it's like a long spring with a screen on one end the small end slips into the hole on the bottom of the bowl the screen end helps keep the top clean. You just drop a little bho in the bowl with the concentrate attachment in place no need for cotton.

Mine never came with one:cry:. Its all good though, I use my Vapman or Muad-Dib for concentrates.

Edit: I e-mailed Got Vape, where I got it, and they sent me a Original Puffit vape enhancer:doh:.

Did you receive a few extra little screens with holes in the middle and wonder what they were for?

if you look on the website they show it in the Picture of the kit on the puffit 2 page in the shop, don't remember seeing it in accessories or anywhere else on the site (don't have the manual on hand to check it) I'd ask 'em about it if you didn't get one and want one. I only tried it once with some wax of questionable quality and wasn't very inpressed.

I just tried but it's back to normal with 2 buzzes.
iirc there was 1 light as normal or no lights at all after the8 buzzes.
Maybe it was his way to tell me to load the battery.
Which I did overnight and now no more 8 buzzes.

A long long draw and I'm in Puffit heaven.

So it looks like I have another sensor error on the new herb bucket replacement they sent me...
I am really quite disappointed at the longevity of their parts. The first one lasted me 6 weeks. This one lasted 5 weeks.
I'm switching to an Arizer Solo now, ordered it a few days ago when I first got sporadic sensor errors.
I really dont understand how that heat sensor can die so fast, I am not doing anything abnormal with the unit.
I did notice however that the unit seems to warm up more and more over time. All of last week I would use it at the lowest setting of 1, and after 2 cycles the herb was almost burnt on the bottom.
So yeah, not happy and now to contact customer support yet again. After owning a Puffit 1 & 2 and having this many issues, I'm afraid I have to turn to other brands to provide better hardware, let alone recommending it to any friends.

Check out the troubleshooting section on the instruction sheet. The led's tell you what the the eight buzzes mean. And you are correct one led lit up means low battery.

Oh man, that does suck! I hope they get you all straightened out.
Besides the solo do you have a back up vape? A good butane powered vape can be worth its weight in meds. if a battery dies or a microchip goes haywire in your battery powered vape.

Thanks @VAPEHUNTER ,
I've done my reading, it wasn't such a hard job! :)
Which sensor is responsible for the 4 blinking lights? Temperature?
Probably that's the only sensor but "sensor error" is not so obvious.
This piece really needs a loading tool, my dream would be having a dispenser fitting the chamber that squeezes grinded herbs into it, also in the form of bullets with a single load each would be very cool.

This piece really needs a loading tool,

They do sell a "Filler Kit: includes EZ-fill Funnel ..." in the accessory section on the Discreet Vape website. makes things a little easier but i find loading still a bit awkward with the spring working to close the chamber and pushing the funnel around while your filling it.
