The Grasshopper Shipping Poll

When do you think the first Grasshoppers (in BOXES!) will ship?

Right...thats what I was saying. He's saying pre orders will be received in Feb of 2016 and not September...Lots of us have only pre-ordered this month and have a Sept. ship date as well.

That's interesting, because this entire thread was based on guesswork by @paytonpenn with a date of February (check the poll at the top).

Coincidence, or does he have inside information?

Never seen @paytonpenn and Trevor in the same place at the same time. Just sayin'....

I think it highly likely AND PRUDENT that GH Labs will continue to trickle out their shipments until they feel that most/all of the electronic/functional kinks are worked out - a smart manageable business move, and ultimately better for all end-users, IMO.
Especially when they need to unbox, un-assemble and re-assemble any units made in advance to work out these flaws before shipping any more. Prolly gets kinda old but it beats massive shipments/massive failures. Just thinking about the stress they must be under atm makes my head hurt.

Fine by me, my issue is with them saying its shipped when its probably not....

Good news bad news situation. I finally got a response from tevor regarding my lack of shipping confirmation. He claims I should have received the email, although I most certainly did not. Either way, the hopper showed up today. I have not used it yet because I am completely unable to remove the back end. Seriously, this thing is not budging in any way. No point in having a replaceable battery if you cant replace it. Furthermore, there are multiple blemished and scratches on the unit. I am not happy.

paging @slcbdco , please enlighten us. I'm sure this is actually a good thing and I simply don't understand how these things work. Care to weigh in? :nope:
EDIT: i mean this in all sincerity. every time i post @slcbdco comes back with what appears to be insider information. i'm sure that since he's nominated himself as the unofficial face of the company on FC he knows what this means. he's decoded all the possible hopper failures so far...

I haven't decoded anything, I just happen to live nearby and have been able to learn things while I'm there. They like to check in on my unit since I use it a lot and it gives them a chance to see actual wear. That said I haven't heard of anything like the back end not coming off. It sounds like the device may have been damaged in shipping as I also haven't seen or heard of damages leaving the lab damaged. As for the shipping email, folks have said that certain email clients won't route it to your inbox, for example I've heard of gmail users having the email sorted into the "promotions" folder or other folks in spam/junk mail etc.

I would definitely email GH labs about that problem and they will send you a replacement.

Wow....sounds like a used unit almost.

@Bradhend15 Mind if I ask you what your GH was labelled as on the package? and what price did they put on the shipping details?

Thanks
Labelled as herbal vaporizer.
And they put the price paid. ($135US for me.)
Did not have to pay duties, but that probably won't be the case for everyone.
I've had it for a week Friday now. Still quite amazed at just how well it works. Battery goes on it fairly quick IMO, (depends a lot on the temp setting) and the thing gets crazy warm. I suck it up though, have only used the mouthpiece for water hits...then I lost it drunk (or stoned?) on Saturday. But it seems to hold a decent seal setting it right in the bowl. Haha. Hope it gets to ya soon, brother!

I'd like to point out that the shipping package was not damaged in any way. That was not the problem. My fingers are still sore from unsuccessfully getting that back end off. no response from hopper labs, so far.... BTW my unit number is GS000012 for those interested.

Has anyone mentioned which delivery service GH is using? If @Grepper got his without receiving tracking info, maybe mine really is on its way. There is a new way to view USPS parcels without tracking numbers and it doesn't show anything on it's way here, so hopefully they're using UPS or FedEx.

Pretty sure its USPS. It is the most reliable and quickest/inexpensive way of shipping within the states imo. I will note my last 3 packages last week didnt get the shipping updated until the day of. Not really GHL related. They were priority also so I guess there could have been fewer destinations and reasons for checking it in.

USPS does a terrible job with tracking in general. Apparently UPS offers the same service and I can't see any packages coming from them either. So either it hasn't been shipped yet or USPS doesn't even have it in their system.

EDIT: I emailed trevor about it and he got back with me in < 1hr and said that it was shipped and I should have gotten the email but there must have been some hangup. He gave me the USPS tracking number and it's scheduled to arrive today!
