Full Steam Ahead
Manufacturer
Thank you all for your patience and support while we(I) work tirelessly to catch up and ship out. If your order shipped after 4 business days (M-F) or more from the day of ordering please PM me or email me at customerservice@epicvape.com so I can make sure I have refunded your recent shipping charges. I have already begun refunding customers but don't want to leave anybody out. We are taking full responsibility for the delays and want to make sure our customers are being taken care of in the interim. *Massdrop customers have been contacted by MD to go over delayed shipping and procedures.

RMA's will be accepted starting Thursday July 30th. If you are still waiting on instructions or a shipping label please note all RMA requests/responses have been delayed until Thursday July 30th.

"In Stock" - Just a quick clarification for the few that mentioned this or had concerns.
Accessories - All gongs, stems, cords, picks, screens, apparel, and stickers are listed in stock and ready to go. In the event we find complaints regarding an item we check the batch to see if there is anything defective that may have been missed. We pull all products that are found defective immediately. This has recently happened with a batch of glass we originally thought was ready to ship, for this I am very sorry! We are about a week+/- out from everything being back to normal and in stock.

E-Nanos - We pride ourselves on this handcrafted product and because of this we pull many units last minute for even the slightest flaws even if we don't think the average customer would notice. We take our time to ensure you are getting a beautiful unit. We also have been experiencing an unprecedented amount of orders which we are very thankful for. (A lot of that is in thanks to this forum for being such a knowledgeable and welcoming community.) That being said it is why we have a 2-3 business day processing time. This is to ensure we can send the unit out as promised within a reasonable time frame. Many times units are ready to ship and go out within one day. The shipping times displayed on our site during checkout are set by USPS and refer to their processing/shipping times. Originally it was required to accept the shipping policy prior to checking out so that customers could be made aware before their purchase. We may require this again now that I see how this is adversely affecting our customers.
Thank you again for letting me interrupt the normal flow of this thread, I'll go back to orders now ;)
Have an Epic day!

I am impressed! Thank you Nadia, top notch. I look fwd to a long relationship with epicvape. Brav-freak-o!

I ordered mine on MD, they haven't emailed me regarding any shipping delays or issues, I got one email saying unit has shipped, however it seems to be in a perpetual stop, I think just a label was printed on the 14th but haven't seen anything yet. However I'm not sweating the small stuff it will get here when it gets here, not looking for any refunds on shipping or anything, though an 18mm GonG in addition to the 14mm one I ordered would be nice ;) just kidding. Are you guys planning on doing Massdrop again? it says it's up to 113 requests out of 200 to restart the campaign. I'd surely order again, though it sure seems like a big pain in the arse on your end.

I've accidentally bumped the temp gage and not realized that the temp was up until I taste a burnt ABV taste and looked and the gage was on 8 or 9. I don't believe any combustion took place but just some charred product.

I like it that Epic checks in on the thread from time to time. It's a quality product and it shows by how many happy contented Nano owners out there.

@nadia_epic I hope you got a bit of a vacation. Thanks for all that you do.:)

That's good more GonGs in stock.

How do you know where to dial it in for a specific strain? I mean it seems like most people have a setting that they like for herb in general. But how do you know that one setting is better for a particular strain than another? Is it mouth feel, taste, thickness of vapor, effect? And if so how much trial and error do you do?

For me it's vapour production that will tell you.
Normally one setting will do most herb, but I have an old school skunk x blueberry that needs about a quarter to half of a level higher on the dial before the herb starts producing vapour of the thickness/density/potency etc that I prefer...

I can't get all of the resin out of the plant at such low temps. No matter how hard I pull, those temps will not make any of my herb brown much at all. It has to be near 7 for the ABV to be brown.

That said, I don't mind when the ABV gets near black. The taste changes, yes, but it's like a ride. It tastes more chocolatey. I don't know why people don't get it all from their weed, unless you use that ABV for stuff.

Vapor production is great at setting 7!

My 6.5 might be the same/similar to your 7 for all we know... that's kind of all I was meaning in the first place tbh :D I get fantastic tatsy vapour at 6.5 and can milk a bubbler opaque so the downstem isn't visible easily..

My ABV is medium to dark brown at 6.5 and although lighter in colour than the ABV that comes out of my solo or air I put this down to the convection heating as my lotus can be a shade lighter when spent too (unless I push it too much).
As for the taste change... well, I don't really want it to, which is why I got a nano in the first place ;)
Joking aside I'm not fond of the overdone taste too much, so would much rather just load another (ok, few more) gongs instead of pushing the temp up that little bit to squeeze out whatever you feel I'm missing and ruining (imo) the flavour...

I bin my ABV fwiw.

Welcome to all the new folks with nanos and those who will soon have one!

You may want to do yourself a favor and read some of this thread from before you ordered your nano. Have seen a bunch of questions from the past few days that are basically nano 101 and are discussed at length regularly. Don't have to go back and read 537 pages, just skim that last 50 or so pages and look at things that discuss technique and tweaks (as opposed to shipping, "oh that's cool/sucks", massdrop, etc). Also, learn to use the search function at the top of every page. It isn't the greatest search engine, but works well enough - especially for most questions or any of those that come up regularly.

Nano is very versatile!! This is one of the greatest things about it as it allows you to get your nano to perform in different ways to do what you are looking for. There are also subtle differences from nano to nano. For instance, heat settings from nano to nano aren't going to be exactly the same. Someone elses heat setting may be up to a few numbers different on the dial than yours.

If just starting out, it's usually easiest to get things set to around "medium" and start producing vapor. Practice a few sessions and get a feel for it. Then, adjust your heat slightly, move your screen a little up or down, play with your draw speed, etc. Usually, a good place to start is to put your screen at the level of the notch on the long arm of the e-pik and heat around 6.5. IME, ground material makes it easier to get a feel for things. If vapor is too thin, nudge the heat up just a touch (1/4 setting at most) or nudge your screen closer to the heater. If you vapor is too heavy, or you're getting close to combustion, turn it down a bit or move your screen a bit further from heater.

Whatever you do, find your own spot first and go from there. Really shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour and a few loads from a warmed up nano. Much better than to go with what someone else posts here for what they like with their nano. Why? Their nano's dial may be set a little differently, screen may be at a different depth, material and grind may be different than yours, they may be sitting in a stuffy 85 F degree room, and you may have the a/c and a fan on, their a/c power may be a little different than yours, they may be going through an intricate bubbler and you may be dry stem (or the opposite), they may like to vape until roasted to almost black while you like yours lighter, etc, etc, etc. All of these things and more can have some effect on nanoing - some more than others.

It's very easy to get it working out of the box, but not too hard with a little practice and tweaking to get it to perform exactly how you like - and have the opportunity to adjust quickly/easily for different situations.

I am an eternal student!
Cannabis is very dear to me!
I set my dial according to the curing of the strain.
Some growers prematurely sell flowers that contain too much moisture.

My adjustments are on a feeling and not scientific!
The first NANO was a bit cooler than the my current one.

Moisture is a critical science.
For giggles it would be nice if labs added a moisture analysis.
it would take out the guess work?

When CANNABIS becomes federally legal it will be more STANDARDIZED.

The big corporations will get involved.
testing will be a requirement by the FDA!
Once the USA ends the ban on cannabis many countries will follow.

The Enano seems to me an easy vaporizer to learn to use. We all have our own way of using our units. It's fun to switch around depths of the basket and amounts of cannabis used and also strains. I like using the fixed glass stem too. I also mix strains sometimes.

I prefer using the nano as a session vape but others like to have a few lung busting large draws. You can choose whatever way works for you.

This log vaporizer is made with care using quality wood some with exquisite patterns which are the custom units, they cost a little more but worth it. FC members get a lifetime warranty so make sure you register your nanos. Welcome to the fun to all the new owners. You've made a wise purchase that will serve you well.

I have sealed jars that I put all purchased bud, these are all maintained with Boveda 62 packs, and I'll generally let them sit for a month, this gives a good finish cure for and hastily cured bud and evens out the moisture content, so I should be good with a static setting once I discover a good one. I don't think they make a Boveda in the 55-58 range though I think that may work more ideally for vaping purposes, the 62 works okay but is tailored for combustion so when vaping the bud I feel is a tad damp to start.

Very good way to go if you like to keep things fresh and moist. Think Boveda used to make a 54% just for meds, but they stopped making them and now suggest using the 62%. I like them just fine!

I like mine a bit drier for vaping, too. I pull about .5 - 1 g as needed, loosely wrap in a piece of paper and set it on top of the cable converter box or stereo amp for an hour or 2. Dries it out enough pretty quickly and grind goes smoothly. Perfect for nano IMO! If I forget to pre-dry and am in a hurry, I'll grind first and pull a quick load from it. Crank up some tunes to warm that amp up to dry the rest quickly while I do the first load. Rest is usually ready (or ready enough) within 1/2 hour.

I don't mean to always respond to your post.

However you write very logically!

I seen the videos of the 2 hit lung buster draw your referencing!
Like you I take it a little slower.
2 RIPS one side then 3 RIPS more after stirring.
With my new NANO level 6.0 is my beginning start point and adjust up or down based on the cure of the COLAS!

GSC is my stable medication.
I keep a multitude of varieties to mix it up based on flavor.
Before bed I play with heavier strains like:
DEATHSTAR OG
GDP
BLACKWATER
PARIS OG is flavor city and shines in a NANO.

I have this DURBAN POISON that is mixed with a OG and the taste is amazing.
NAP time only!
GSC I can still function.

Gorilla Glue I will get tonight!
I have a lot of SKYWALKER OG however it's way to powerful.
This next harvest (OCTOBER - NOVEMBER) will be a year to remember!

I am playing with a adjust-a-bowl with success even though I like the fixed glass the best because the adjustable feature is not functional. Being a medical user I find them ideal for me. However the adjustable bowl is more economical.

The NANO is powerful and simple to operate.

It's not about $!

The 62% packs are what I use.

Hey everyone! I found something interesting while cleaning my GonG, not sure if people use this method much.
So it's 3:15am on a Tuesday and I have 2 exams and a paper due in the afternoon, and I'm lookin at my glass thinking, I can't go to sleep with you lookin like this (it had been about a week since a cleaning , eek) Normally I pour rubbing alcohol into the GonG halfway and shake with the screen in it vigorously for a few minutes, then shoot hot water through it to get all the gunk out. Well I didn't have enough rubbing alcohol so I decided to just try super hot water and see how it worked. Well it manage to get every single last piece of residue that was on my screen and all built up along the walls. It was a kinda gross dusty buildup, and the glass came out smell free with basically 0 draw restriction and looking brand new! No shaking required, just held it up to the faucet. Will be using this frequently as it'll make cleaning a 45 second process every two days!

...So it's 3:15am on a Tuesday...

You may have less time than you think. It was 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Hope you didn't miss your exams! :D

I've done quick hot water cleans. It helps, but don't think my water gets quite hot enough for good cleaning. If you save your alcohol, you'll never run out. Pour it in a small jar and leave it there. Just make sure you can close it so alcohol doesn't evaporate. Drop dirty screens in and they come out ready to rinse clean. I've used some so much it was almost as dark brown as coffee, but still works fine for cleaning screens and GonGs. It's not like water where once it is dirty, it isn't going to clean as well. As long as it's there, it will always be a solvent that will dissolve buildup. And, don't think any fungus or other nastys can grow in it.

My preferred quick clean.... Drop screen in ISO jar. Rinse GonG with hot water. Dip Q-tip in same ISO and wipe out GonG. Rinse with hot water. Pluck screen from ISO and give face a quick scrub with old toothbrush. Rinse with hot water. Blow until pretty dry, re-insert screen and pop on nano for a couple empty draws. Clean, dry and ready to go in about 2 minutes!

I drop screen and all into ISO and then bath of PBW. I never pull screens. It has been over a year or so. My Daughter on the other hand pushes, burn, crinkles and goes though screens like nobody's business. (Andy's really) I have exhorted, explained, demonstrated and wept. She is a crunch-berry no matter what I do.

Ive tried that hot water technique and it works!

I cant really do the iso one because I always feel like there is iso residue left. Ive tried everything unlimited rinses, blow drying it, not as much iso, mixing the iso with water and.......nothing! the smell and taste is still there. So I gave up on that and thought of different methods.

The method I use is a mixture between vinegar, hot water and then real lemon juice to neutralize the smell and taste of vinegar.

Wait, theres a method to my madness. I do this for a variety of reasons, to rid of bacteria, to rid of fungus, as mentioned the water in the faucets never get THAT HOTT. I know this is not 100% but it works for me.

If its the inside of the bubbler, I use this mix with rice sometimes, they do get stuck. It does leave the inner side of the bubbler sparkling clean after that, since its similar to a scrubbing motion and causes some friction. I was thinking of using beans, something not so small. I have been looking for sometype of scrubbing beads that are non toxic, but havent really found anything.

I have also found putting some pressure on the water coming out the faucet with your finger and spray the bottom side of the basket helps fling stuff out. I look up into the light to see if all has been removed. It usually works. If seems really gunky you might want to take some mini brushes, even a toothbrush you dont use and brush it.
