Because you don't have the right kind of friends? The big question is, of course, who are you going to put wise?

Enjoy the VM, be sure to try a solid torch type lighter.

OF

My son has already ordered a basic after a few uses of it and my friend wants one as well , very therapeutic to use... I have been using my old lotus torch seems to be an ok mate for it

Nonetheless, I humbly offer myself as a volunteer test subject for any future Vapman project.

Good to know, thank you!:)

The paper idea I also like. From my limited experience with paper, I think "Parchment paper" (sometimes called 'baker's paper') is the call. It's an offshoot of fish paper as I understand it, where the raw cellulose is treated with Sulfuric Acid to weaken the bonds so new bonds can be formed when the pulp is compressed. You end up with a durable sheet, strongly resembling the parchment (thin animal skin) traditionally used for documents and drum heads. It's tough and can stand up to hot oven temperatures. I'm thinking a strip that was rolled into a tube say two layers thick and pushed down the MP hole against the SS screen? Notches in the bottom edge would allow the vapor that came through the sides of the screen to 'make it to the MP'.

Fun ideas,

OF

I think the middle section would have to stand on the paper in order to prevent any residues to get in contact with the wood. This means, the paper insert has to have the shape of the cavity with a rim at the bottom on which the middle section would stand, looking a bit like a trumpet shape.
The tube would reach up to underneath the air inlet holes, exposing the wood only between the 3 holes and the mouthpiece to vapor. To make a piece of paper with this particular shape requires some paper forming technique I never came across.:hmm:

First day with my vapman ,well impressed just wondering why I never brought one before :):leaf:

The more vaporizers someone knows, the more, vapman can be appreciated. Simplicity is not simple.
Welcome to the vapman family!

Happiness comes from compassion
so yesterday, when i was out with my friends my lighter stopped working, no butane left, and i tried combustion once again. Now, as things are in Vapmanland, the smokers usually smoke spliffs with tobacco in them.

I never coughed so hard in the last 4 months and i still have a rougher voice from that. besides, the high was not nearly as enjoyable as with vaporisation in the Vapman.

I think i'll abstain from combustion again, and stay with my beloved Vaporizer

What if the cavity was lined with very thin stainless steel and then the paper tube inserted from the mouth piece end?

You could scrape the reclaim off the SS.

Then paper would be coated in a cleaner reclaim because the cavity at the bottom would probably catch most of the plant particles that come through the filter?

@vapman I'm also keen to see a middle section that has a 14mm male joint at the end. Made from wood of course!
It would be nice if it was a bit longer than the standard middle section so that you could easily grab it to remove it from the female joint.

... But i would pay up to 220 usd for a bigger vapman with double bowl size.

This is now possible and available with NO ADDITIONAL tooling costs. If purchasing the basic model it costs less than 220usd and you get EXACTLY 2X the bowl volume of a current vapman, but also the exact same and unparalleled efficiency and effectiveness the vapman already offers today.

How? Where? Buy 2 vapman vaporizers. Carry both with you. Instant double bowl volume, but the flexibility to use only 1/2 the material you vape at a time if you wish.

And i would pay up to 150 usd for a portable heating stick where i can put my vapman on.

Someone I know designed a clip that slips over the end of the vapman torch and holds firm, and a second clip that slides over the large wood ring of the vapman aligning the torch output to the bottom tip of the crucible just right for optimal heating. So with one hand a user can ignite the torch, heat the bowl and then hold it to her mouth to inhale or for whatever she put it there for if not inhaling. Perfect for those with one arm, or just one arm available at the time ... porn watchers for instance.

Stainless steel sounds very good but I don`t like the idea of shifting the heat further up the middle section as the air path is already very short. We must not forget that this stainless steel part would get extremely hot as it is in direct contact with the filter. Further, I think that the reclaim would not stick on the filter, vapor condenses always at the coolest spot which would be further up close to the mouthpiece. In my opinion it has to be something like paper, everything else will change the characteristic of vapman significantly. Why not doing a test with some aluminum foil, this would show what really happens when mounting an insert made of metal?

@vapman, I wonder if such a trumpet could be made of very thin Stainless Steel? That would be cool, but don't know if would get too hot.

As mentioned above, my concern is exactly that it might get too hot.

Same here! The way I see it, it gives my Little Fella some extra character as he ages.:2c: :) :peace:

Good way to look at it, nothing is perfect but it isn`t easy to improve vapman on one spot without sacrificing something on the other end. Probably a sign that this vaporizer is quite complete.;)

The ONLY thing I would change/add to the Vapman would be a glass mouthpiece - a big reason I bought the Vapman was so I could use it with an MFLB glass stem but for various reasons I have stuck to the plastic one. Whilst the Vapman+MFLB glass stem tastes great it cools the vapor down too much IMO (some like it hot ;)). Can't fit it in the egg either because it's so long.

Would love a shortie glass stem on the Vapman that fits inside the egg, preferably with a little nub on the end like the existing piece. Glass taste + ability to collect dat sweet honey =.

The glass stem may be the perfect compromize. It would look very cool too.

By the way, a friend of mine called me to tell me that he was very amazed at the vapman lighter's durability.

When I asked why he said so, he said that he has washed it twice because he forgot to take it out of his jeans pocket and it continued to work without a hitch!

Holy crap! and he didn't do anything to it at all. Just tried it again and it worked as usual.

I don't recommend it, but it's good to know that it can survive this type of abuse.

@Petro and @M0J0 I'm a silversmith and am working on casting fine silver mouthpieces which have advantages of increased vapor cooling and are also antimicrobial.

A few snags in the process, but I hope to show something to the community in the coming few weeks. I'm going to have to make new molds, but will be casting prototypes early next week if all goes to plan.

And he didn't loose the house when the dryer exploded? Lucky guy.......

Yeah, I too recommend hand washing if you must.

You could just score the glass stem with the edge of a file and snap it to size, a little fine sanf paper and you'll have your shorty glass stem (minus the bulb at the end)
Peace

Probably better off buying a water pipe whip from Magic Flight and using the mini stems that they include in them - pretty sure they are glass. Would be a good addition to a Vapman arsenal anyway if you don't like to shoehorn the Vapman into your piece.

My 2 orbiter whips have the ministems made in acrylic, not glass

@M0J0 Hey man I go the screens finally :p. I'm loving them.

Does anyone have any tips and tricks ? I've been smearing some shatter on the bottom screen than topping with two. I've tried two heating methods, I generally heat herb 2, 3, 3. I've been heating the shatter 5,5 to get thick vapor.

Has anyone tried bho on one screen topped on another screen with more bho, covered by another screen? I'm wondering if the second screen will get the low temp flavor mixed with the punch of the first screen heat.

I'm currently using one concentrate screen with bho covered by another screen (2 total). I am wondering why it is recommended to use one on bottom and 2 on top (3 total).
