No, I mean for the other side of the equation.

I wish the piece you put that into was Ti instead of glass. That way you could have temperature equalization with two like pieces of material.

Tried to get New Vape to make this and they just looked at me like I was stupid. One day people will actually listen to me. Ive brought multiple products to market with great success.

I apologize if this isn't where I should be posting, I am new here (and can still use that excuse).
So I am almost out of butane, and figure I should just upgrade to an e-nail rather than purchasing more tane.

Looks identical to The Terpz unit. Thats what Im using now. Good, solid unit. No real bells and whistles but I havent found any mind blowing bells and whistles in any e-nail.

Buy a good nail.. thats where the differences in design show up.

Finally got a shipping notice (USPS) for my 710Whip.
Also got a refund notice for a portion of the price... without any explanation. Come on, guys, customer service means your customers know what is going on.

Until it arrives, I have no idea what's up. :shrug:

Thanks for posting this. I have been eyeing the whip for a couple months and this pushed me over the edge!! Damn VAS strikes agains!! :freak::haw::spliff:

I used the 710whip code Wednesday morning and it was still working. I got my package yesterday and i must say the 710 whip rocks!!! For a $108 shipped to me I'm waaaayyy happy. Good bye torch hello super tasty low temp dabs!!

That's cool man glad you're liking it. I've never actually used a 710 whip but I've been using the ceramic nail they make and i absolutely LOVE it. The huge surface area is great and it holds heat like no other nail I've had so far.

I do like the enail. Took it to @ChippyMalone and we played with it a bit... tried a couple of different forms of concentrates, and it's nice. Really, really, nice.

Now, I'm after the perfect glass for it. Heavier bottom than my current bubbler.

I have it on the Torus clone from Steven at Dhgate. It' hits awesome on it but I'm sure this thing would hit awesome on most pieces!!

@Enchantre That was the FC-187 from DHGate we used today. I'm still shocked at how incredibly smooth and mellow the experience was compared to the one time I took my firstdab on 4/20 in the ambulance converted to a dabbing parlor (The Dabulance).

That experience simply too stressful and intense for me to have wanted to ever do it again. That's why I'm so happy you showed me that dabbing concentrates could actually be a slow and relaxing experience.

I really really really want one of these nails now.

Edit: that $50 off code still works, but I failed to pull the trigger. Odd, because at 2:51 am, I usually pull the trigger. I only held off because of the expense of the consumables.

Welcome to FC Sophia!

Great question, but this is the type of question that is hard to give an exact answer for.

The temperature you use depends mainly on the nail, the coil type (flat or barrel style), and partially on the e-nail unit itself since every unit is different.

I run Quartz anywhere from 550F-650F.
Titanium is usually 625F-700F.
Ceramic is about 625F-675F.

Flat coils can usually be used at lower temps compared to barrel coils in my experience because the flat coil has more direct horizontal contact with the dabbing surface. The barrel coils heat up a large vertical barrel section that is usually attached below the dabbing surface so a higher temp is required to distribute the heat from the barrel section to the dabbing surface.

If you can tell us what nail, e-nail unit, and coil type you are using then one of us may be able to give you more of an exact temp. Even knowing what size dabs you take can help. Large globs will need higher temps to prevent pooling.

But remember a temp that I like may not be a temp that you like. Everyone is different. I like real low temp for the most part, like low to the point where I only get vapor after I carb cap. Others run at higher temps so that a carb cap is not needed.

I've fiddled a bit with the nut/heater-washer/nail, to get it to read as a bit closer to the "high" temp of 700F (I have about 650F now on MAX). I do like it. And, today, I got a rig to hold it.


I've run bubble hash, some kief, some black/green infused kief-hash stuff, and the regular stuff too... honey oil, shatter, crumbly stuff. @ChippyMalone had squirted a bit of syringe CO2 oil in, too, and that came out just fine. :nod:

I have been looking for a 220v unit too,but for now it seems I got no luck.

One German seller sells units for 280euros, I am hoping to find something more around the 200 euros mark... Any help is highly appreciated.

That new whip might be for me too...

mine stays on pretty much 24-7, and has been on at least 80% of the time since I bought it @ the cup this year. It started out on a dhgate fab egg, which worked beautifully until the dogs feet got caught in the power cord (RIP). It then moved to the D-020, but then went through the small footprint issues that led me to put it on it's current home, the jhanpixel 12 arm bubbler. This is probably much bigger than it needs to be, but it hits like a champ and provides a much more stable base than anything else. As prices drop, I will probably get a digital enail too, but this will always be a frontrunner in my lineup! Also @Enchantre, I think the elastic strap is meant to go around the bottom of your piece by the base rather than so close to the heat source. Love my 710 whip!!!

Does a propane torch degrade the SiC Dish DNail in any way?

Before dropping the $175 for it thought id ask because i plan on purchasing an enail in the future but not exactly at this moment. But if the propane torch does effect the SiC Dish i will most likely go ahead and purchase an enail now haha

It states "Temperature charts for both electric and torch use are available in the product images above as well as on our Science page." So i assume its safe but..

Let me rephrase my question: Is there any reason i should wait to purchase the SiC Dish until i purchase an enail unit?

Until someone more knowledgeable chimes in, I'll just throw out there that I believe propane burns hotter than butane, so even if it's rated as ok for torch use, that may be allowing for butane temps but not propane temps...

I'm pretty sure you'd be fine, but :shrug:

I think it should be okay but I would send them an email to be sure. They're pretty responsive to questions.

"There is no functional difference between the use of propane vs butane in regards to using a torch with the SiC. However, if you intend to use your SiC exclusively with your torch, then I highly suggest that you look at this torch-specific version of the SiC here - https://www.d-nail.com/nails/torch/d-nail-sic-torch-nail

Please be advised that the torch version of the SiC cannot be used with electric heat. Should you wish to have the option to use electric or torch heat with your SiC, then the standard SiC Nail will do well for you - just remember to remove the heater coil prior to applying the torch! :)

I have been informed that the torch retention charts for the SiC had data collected by using a propane torch - so this data will be closest to your experience."

My thoughts:

The "torch use only" nail is the same price so why buy it instead of the enail + torch compatible version :hmm:

I really wonder why they highly recommend the torch only version if the standard version works just fine with a torch?

Anyone have thoughts? Just an extra way to make money?

Also im surprised the temps were recorded with propane. Good to know tho as that is what i use currently ( you can't beat $3 for the fat ass refill that last months )

Edit: i emailed them back and asked why they high recommend

If you look at the one that can be used with an enail and torch, the side walls connect to the dabbing area at a 90 degree angle.

The torch only one is more round where the side walls connect to the bottom dabbing area.

Darid over at Domeless.com does the same thing with his ceramic nails.

I believe the rounder dish style of the torch only model is less prone to cracking whereas the 90 degree connection on the enail and torch model is more susceptible to getting stress cracks.

I don't think you will have any problems with either as long as you don't torch it forever haha.

I'd personally get the enail version because you will get an enail soon enough. Torches just don't cut it anymore when enails are getting so cheap ;)
