These two HydraTubes are on completely different ends of the spectrum. The double will be high diffusion and give you the smoothest hits with a little less flavor. The shower cap holds almost no water, diffuses very little, and retains the most flavor. FWIW the double is worth a lot more $$$.

Loading ELBs is really easy with the EZLoader I designed. Its just an 18mm vapor hose adapter, a piece of tubing, and a mouthpiece. Just grind your herb then put an ELB in the EZLoader and inhale to suck your medicine into the ELB. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. The vapor hose adapter is $14.99 at VaporWarhouse: http://www.vaporwarehouse.com/site/h2o-adapters-male.html

Thanks! I never thought about loading the bowl like that... It's something to consider (after I see how I like the overpriced thingy I ordered)

As for the tubes, I think I'm keeping the Double. They offered to knock $100 off the Showercap too, if I want it. I guess it's good that they sent me the wrong tube!

You can pick up an Arizer Mini Whip from www.puffitup.com, for $8.61 if you use the coupon code FC-1 when you checkout. It also comes with free shipping. If you just want the elbow without the tubing, its only $7.54 including free shipping; why pay $14.99 when you can get the Elbow made for the Arizer Q that does the exact same thing for half the price? In fact if you look at the link you posted they want $17.99 for a right angle piece that I guarantee you isn't made as well as the right angle elbow from Arizer. Just my :2c:... On a lighter side what's that saying about great minds? I never saw your "EZ Loader" until now, but we both had the same idea. Just curious, what did you use for your mouthpiece?

@gaseous_clay Yes, the double and showercqap are pretty mcuh the opposites.
I would also say the double is better (but I like my two connectible hydratubes even more than I would the double - I prefer multiple chambers to be separable).
The showercap is the only hydratube that can be tricky to get all the water out. Not impossibnle, but not as easy as with all the others.
The double woudl only need to be flipped thrice and it's empty.
In the flavor/diffusion argument - yes, they are opposites in that regard, but also you can fill just one of the chambers and only with little water and you will get little diffusion and more flavor. You can use it dry and get even more flavor that showercap.
You can of course use showercap dry but you can't get more diffusion out of it.
The double is also more expensive of course.

How do you use a steamroller with the EVO? I can't seem to find the post you were referring to.

Thanks!

You know I've inhale-loaded more than a few bowls with a Vapor bros box / whip vape and never thought to load EZLB's this way. I'm making one of your tools immediately, thanks for the tip!

@Vital The 808 is a Bluetooth portable speaker,
@61reissue Nectar is a Klein Hydratube custom made by Doughboy a retired glass artist. There were maybe 10 in circulation. Put in a want to buy ad in the classifieds for one you may luck up. I've seen one or two come up for sale. I may
be able to help you find a reasonably priced hydratube through other sources. (Not a klein though).
@Vital I'll try to get a video up of the steamroller. No promises i never make vids, too lazy. I truly believe this one needs a vid. You sit the steamroller on the EVO cover the end with a finger, pull from the octopus head. Somehow it creates a turbulence that causes
the vapor roll until you release your finger and shotgun yourself. Simply AWESOME!

Where can I find the washing out tool you are referring to?

In one of the Cloud threads, but jeez I wouldn't know how to search for it. @t-dub is usually online (although not now), if he sees this tomorrow I know he'll post the link.

Mine consists of a sink faucet hose adapter, a male/female quick-disconnect, a male barb with plastic threaded nut that attaches to the quick-disconnect, couple feet of silicone tubing pushed on to the barb and held by a radiator clamp, rubber stopper that fits into the bottom of the HT. The stopper is drilled out so the tubing can be pushed all the way into it. All regular hardware store stuff. To flush the HT just put the stopper in the bottom, attach the quick-disconnect to the faucet adapter, turn on the water. It will rush thru the HT and out the top. Especially good for hard to clean pieces like my Hydraline, I also use it to rinse my HT's after a Simple Green or PBW soak. If I get a chance tomorrow and @t-dub hasn't chimed in, I'll take a pic and post it.

Or @Stu, maybe you remember where to find it?

Has anybody hooked up something to dry the inside? I was thinking something like a hair dryer attachment, but don't have a hair dryer to try it.

A shop vac works well for drying the inside. :2c:

:peace:

Solid tip, Stu!

In other news, I returned from a 4-day t-break and loaded an ELB full of my famous flower/oil mix (aka, "flerrl" hits). The result of such bold tomfoolery? A night feeling like this: :freak:

Thanks CC! I was thinking what model vaporizer is that? :hmm:

Has anybody hooked up something to dry the inside? I was thinking something like a hair dryer attachment, but don't have a hair dryer to try it.

I found that after the HT is clean and rinsed, shake out as much of the moisture as you can; add a small amount of 90% alcohol to your HT...it will hasten the drying time.

Another method; Wash and rinse your HT, once it is thoroughly rinsed, put it into the oven (NOT A MICROWAVE OVEN) on low until the HT is dry. Make sure to use an oven mitt to remove the HT from the oven so you don't burn yourself and drop your HT.

Thx @Stu, helpful vid but doesn't show all the fittings. Come to think of it, @t-dub has a slightly different setup in his lab.

So @Vital, 1st pic is a male faucet adapter to fit a faucet with a female inlet for its screen. Remove the screen holder and replace with a quick-disconnect adapter like this. 2nd pic shows the whole tool: Female quick-disconnect, the other end is threaded male. Attached to it is a male barb with threaded female connector, look closely and you can just see the barb inside the tubing, which is held in place by the radiator clamp. The rubber stopper is I think a #2, 5/8" diameter small end 3/4" diameter larger end, which fits perfectly into an HT female. The stopper is drilled out to the OD of the tubing, I stole this tubing from my Q whip stock, I don't remember offhand its dimensions but I'm guessing 7/16". (There's a thread about tubing, or check the Q thread.) The tubing is pushed through the drilled hole and cut off flush, you can see it in the 2nd pic. 3rd pic shows the whole setup.

I have a 1 gallon plastic cylindrical container 5x12" filled with Simple Green. Most HT's would fit in it. For cleaning I just put the HT into the container overnight. I keep the container under the sink. Next day I attached the tool to the faucet, lift out the HT draining the SG, move HT to the sink, holding the HT upright insert the plug (or lay the HT in the sink on a wash rag or whatever to protect it from the hard surface, similar to what you saw in the vid @Stu posted), turn on water. The inside flushes and, if holding the HT upright, spills out the top down the outside of the HT to rinse it off too. Takes only a few minutes.

That's it.

EDIT: I made this a couple years ago, so my memory is a bit rusty. Nothing magic here, there are other plumbing pieces that could do just as well. I seem to recall the only challenge was drilling the stopper and inserting the tubing. I used a vise to hold the stopper for drilling. It's important that the hole be no more than the diameter of the tubing so it is snug and doesn't slip out (which it will do if loose when under water pressure). I think I got the tubing thru the hole by pinching and lubing the end, then once thru past the pinch it could be cut off.

Very clever...when I was a kid my parents had a portable dishwasher. That's the exact same attachment we had on our kitchen sink to connect the dishwasher's hose. I never knew what it was called...too funny.
Thanks for taking the time to post and explain how the quick clean tool works. :)
