It's in my hands, pics on my IG

hey, is the lid plastic as well as the other silver parts like the band that goes around the entire miVape, the battery door, the draw stem assemble?

Can you take apart the mouthpiece/draw stem assembly to clean it completely? I saw in the manual that they just submerged the whole thing in alcohol.......

Yes, the silver parts are plastic (battery door, lid, the mouthpiece) and no you can't take apart the mouthpiece/draw stem (I'm sure there is but doesn't look like it nor saw nothing in the book about it.

It feels nice, little thick but nothing to get crazy about. Easy assembly, nothing complicated to it to me. I'm through my first session and so far (other than running a little hot) so good. Gonna do a 2nd session in a little bit.

Also, I will try my best to answer any other questions as best I can but I am getting "medicated" and testing out my Smart Dabb too tonight.

So do you think you can clean the mouthpiece assembly completely without being able to take it apart? Can you see the vapor path or is it pretty sealed? I read that the vapor "splits" when it enters the mouthpiece/draw stem assembely......

Got mine as well. I've been getting shit done and only vaping at night, so Ill start by filming the unboxing. Then let er rip tonight with some top grade flowers. If the clouds are good enough at first ill publish it asap, otherwise I will film scene 2 when I get the hang of it...

Did you have to do any " burn-offs " ?
How's the flavor profile on the all glass path ?

Just want to share a pre-vaping first impression. Really looking forward to the performance.
The build quality of the chassis feels unbelievably cheap. Or at least the hardness of the plastic. Like far softer/thinner plastic then a Chinese Titan. I could snap it with one hand squeezing (but I AM a jazz drummer haha), and could snap of the battery cover without thinking about it. The power cord does not fit in all the way, (common issue with microUSB, but would really give a better impression if it fit flush) and inside the battery compartment I see what looks like a gap, part of a board that has 4 solder points that either was chipped or didnt fit exactly. Upon plugging it in I see no sign of charging.

That being said, no odd smells, and the truth is, the all-glass path will still be the weakest link as far as fragility, so don't consider taking this hiking in your pocket, it needs a case without question. Still having high hopes, and I will post the most honest review I can make. But this is worth mentioning and surprising considering how unique of a technology this is.

Smutman, what's your take on these observations, being that you are hitting it now? Did you see a sign of charging, or is my unit DOA? Inside your batter compartment, right below the lid, and above the battery contacts, do you see the 4 solder joints, and is there a little funky gap there?

Edit- its getting warm, def charging the battery.
This is a proprietary battery - don't expect to get them on dhgate - plan ahead if you need multiple. Not sure if there will be an external charger.
The glass path looks pretty damned cool. It feels more solid with the battery in it. If it hits like a champ, id be more than happy to pay more for a harder plastic chassis (note to manufacturer)

that's disappointing......I was worried about all of that plastic, let alone the glass. Plastic isn't necessarily bad, the Crafty/Mighty are all plastic and they are great vapes that don't feel cheap. I was hoping the Mivape would be built to last because its got the replaceable battery, unlike so many other vapes that are built well but you can't replace the battery yourself and you will always, eventually have to replace the batteries......

@SnidelyWhiplash, how do you feel about the mouthpiece/draw stem assembly? cleaning, maintenance, build, etc...?

I will be getting my MiVape tomorrow and after reading about the plastic, I am less excited. There was a rumor that the production versions were going to be metal but I guess that wasn't true. I still have HIGH hopes for the miVape and if it performs well, It may be a good portable unit for using around the home where its less likely to get damaged

Just Justin - everything about the air path looks great. Just flimsy plastic chassis. And if the battery door pops off, the battery will no longer function. That's kind of shortsighted being its the weakest part of the unit. All that being said, I have high hopes, and will confirm them in a hour, sit tight! This is FC, we are here to help the manufacturers get better, help each other buy well, and root out bad designs. I still have high hopes!

Edit. Hopes shattered. Unit is DOA. Not even charging. Not happy.

Wow. The manufacturer read this, contacted Vapornation (who completely kicks ass and is worthy of our trust), got my contact info, and is overnighting me a new one, with a letter of apology.

Wow! Heart warming. Soon to be herb warming. Now I really want to do my best to be helpful to them both, and offer constructive perspective on this product. Really outstanding response! Also shows that they are on here, and really interested in our constructive criticisms as well as compliments and positive results.
I love it when good people stand behind their products.

I would have figured they packed their bags and left this place. Not sure if they were banned, but their last presence (post) was nearly 3 years ago. Regardless, @SnidelyWhiplash i've got my eyes on you... I think your review will be on point! Can't wait dude!

I think that gap is what holds the battery lid on it. Mine showed it was charging. However I will say this, it was stuck on 80% for a long time.

Right now mine is burning the herb black at 370 and 320 degrees. I will say this, it doesn't taste bad even for being burnt. I have been talking and texting with the president of Vaporfection since yesterday afternoon trying to figure the problem out.

Other than this problem, you hit it pretty much on the head about this vape @SnidelyWhiplash. It is very thin and could easily crush this. I do feel like I'm gonna break something when pressing the bowl inside the vape. My power cord fits fine and did charge fine, just was stuck on 80% for a while. If you do break the battery door (which seems real easy to do) this won't work. Plus the "latch" you pull on to open the door sticks out so it doesn't sit "flat". They do need to get a case or cover for this quick because my bottom is already scratched (nothing to get mad about). I don't see me taking this outside much until I get a case (seen a rubber one for it on their IG) for it. Also, I don't see any accessories for this on their site so don't break anything just yet lol.

Dan from Vaporfection seems like a true genuine person. He contacted me via IG and sent me his number and we talked for a good 20 mins. Very down to earth person who cares about his product and his customers and he is personally taking care of my problem and sending me a new one tomorrow. Between him, Vaporfection and Vapornation; I have received nothing but top notch service. They all have shown extreme care in their product and service. I agree with you @SnidelyWhiplash 100%, I love a company stands up for its product and stands behind their product.

Hopefully by this weekend I will be able to give a better review, update or tips about this sucker. So far I do like this vape but didn't get to vape any oil or wax through it yet. It does heat freaking quick and very easy to assemble and to use. I like the hiding of the draw stem with the flip cover. The battery door situation needs to be improved but I think the rubber case I saw on IG would address that and the scratching situation real quick to me. I would also like to see a "6 pack" case of bowls as an accessory (like the Pinnacle Pro's bullet case or the 4 pack straws for VaporCup).

Edit: I will have it tomorrow because Vaporfection is the freaking beez kneez and will be reporting for sure by the weekend. Everyone have a freaking vape day!

got my MiVape.......First of all, its pretty scratched up everywhere. Second the seal on the box was broken, the battery is all scratched up like someone had been using it by putting it in and taking it out and the wrapper was open, the heating chamber is not properly aligned so when I try to put the quartz chamber in it requires a lot of force. I can't tell if its charging but it wouldn't turn on, hopefully the battery is drained and therefore needs to be charged. I was planning on doing a review but I may not be able to......I'll let you know if it takes a charge and turns on but it appears that is DOA!
