What Are YOUR Best/Worst Vape Purchases?

@Killa $moke Ninja - What the gent above said - ESV is the Elevape Smart Vaporizer. That thing is THE SHIZZ! Instant vapor, well built and tasty as all hell as well but a little finicky at the upper temperatures - risk combustion at extreme temps - and a terrifying price tag.

But if you've got the bank and like to fiddle with stuff, it's perfect. :) Temperature control is very precise, too, it just has to go through a PC. >.>

Stoned Roses
Worst - Titan2
First vape purchased, cheap materials used, hot and harsh vape. Was sort of glad when it broke after less than a week as it gave me the excuse to buy an Arizer Air.

Best - Mighty
Smoothest vapour I've experienced so far. Heats and delivers quickly. Was expensive, but I'm glad I splashed out :)

I want to love my MFLB and perhaps I haven't spent enough time with it. It's definitely not my "worst" vape purchase because I have had some satisfying inhalations but I've also burned product and found it less than efficient. I feel that it's my lack of technique and sometimes it calls me - there's something about it's elegance in simplicity.

Ordered a Magical Butter Machine a few days ago. (ABV vapor related) I have a feeling that it's going to be one of the most enjoyable purchases of vapor equipment.

Worst purchase: volcano medic digital. Volcano is definitely over hyped and doesn't hit than hard. It works well and gets the job done, but just doesn't hit like my herbal aire.

Best purchase: herbalAire h2.2 with high output pump. Almost 10 years old and still kicking my ass like the first day I got it

can you expand about how the HA is better at filling bags than the Volcano?

it really comes down to vapour density for me. the volcano doesn't seem to get as dense of bags as the Herbal Aire does with the same amounts at the same temperature. with the volcano you need to grind the material very finely and sometimes mid session re-grind it to further increase the surface area the hot air is exposed to. the HerbalAire doesn't require any grinding whatsoever and always seems to extract down to the very center of the load.

secondly, it comes down to flavour. the first bag off the herbal aire is always for flavourful than the first bag off the volcano. I believe this has a lot to do with the fact that you grind the material and damage all the trichomes with the volcano. as well, when you tear apart the plant material you are exposing the plant waxes and starches and other compounds that make up the plant which can sully the flavour. this is just an idea though, I'm not really sure why it tastes so much better.

Best is e-nano for flower, Persei Hercules for concentrates. I rank both these vapes 10/10.

I don't have a "worst", nothing earth-shattering in the bad category. That said, my MFLB gets the least usage. It's not a bad vape. It's fine for a 1st vape. But it doesn't come near some of the really good ones.

I have only owned 4 vapes so far, but My favorite has to be the Zion. Extremely fast to hits and controllable. Dense vapor. And reasonably priced.

I don't really dislike anything I have but the FM5 is probably the least effective of my vapes. It is the only one that I really see as a stealth portable, though, so it is targeting a more difficult behavior. The Lotus is small enough to be portable, but the torch eliminates any ability for it to be stealth.

Hi there Syrupy. Thanks for your comments on the medical usage thread regarding the vriptech earlier. I'm curious- you say the e-nano is best for flower. So you rate it as a better vape than the vriptech? Surely it is possible to get bigger hits with the vriptech, no? Have you used a verdamper before? I have owned a large verdamper for 6 years now. It is super powerful, and very economical too. You can load small amounts and get very medicated, or any size you want and it just lasts for several sessions. Actually, in a way, the more you put in, the more economical it is as you get more stoned for longer off bigger hits.
For example, if 3 people shared a gram load, they would get much more wasted than if they vaped a third of a gram individually. I have been able to get 2 really decent sessions a day out of a third of a gram a lot of the time, and feel stoned all day and the following morning.
The herborizer however is a different story- it needs much more weed and never gets me as stoned. I can't use my verdamper anymore though as I have allergies and it is not the most gentle vape for sensitive lungs. So I got the herborizer, but it just isn't easy to get big hits consistently and easily without using tons of herb. Thats why I'm keen on the vriptech. It looks like it can deliver huge hits without much effort, and I imagine/hope that the vapor is much gentler than the verdamper and more similar to the herborizer (which is very gentle.) Also to get vaped much quicker than with the herborizer, which is better suited to longer sessions.
I'm very careful so I'm not too worried about the vriptechs fragility.

I had the Vapir No 1 and it had a huge oven. It was so loud I ended up giving it to the guy that I bought my black market weed from as a present for years of service.

It kinda looks like a blow dryer of some kind. One of my bad vaporizer purchases.

Hi Carol if that is your real name, apologies if not. Thank you for welcoming me to the forum in another thread the other day. I also bought this vapir vaporizer in 2006, for nearly £100. I thought it was a terrible device. I felt utterly conned. I could not believe that people had actually invented this thing. It was so terribly loud and inconvenient. It seemed to me that you had to hold it upright while filling bags, unable to tilt it (or the vapor rushed out through the gaps in the herb chamber) and you couldn't put it down or rest it on anything due to the power cord in the bottom and the air in outlet.

I also thought it was really unhealthy due to some dodgy material. It did produce an effect, but I just hated actually turning it on to use. I immediately bought a "vapureyes" which wasn't great either. The vapir, I threw it in the bin. I didn't want to influence another poor soul into owning or using it. But you have given me a better idea- I should have given it to somebody I didn't like, like some rudeboy who sold me some really crappy wet weed well underweight maybe haha!

So that was my worst. I guess the verdamper was my best, due to its sheer power and the amount of weed it has saved me over the years. It is also one to impress people and show them what vapes can do. People often comment when they first use it that it feels like the first time they ever got stoned. And it always feels like that too, you don't seem to build a tolerance to it. But not many people on this forum seem to have experience with it though.

Hi Alexis,

Funny you should mention vriptech, because after my post, I realized the flavor is superior to the Nano, it's a 9/10 (if it was sturdier it would be a 10). The only downside, as I mentioned, is it's pretty fragile, so I ended up spending probably $150 bucks on replacement parts (the cover is $100 by itself) due to clumsiness. The cord on it is very thick and long, and gets snagged easily. I see they sell a holder for it, which would help immensely. There's something about the vortex action on it that produces very even extraction.

But paired with the custom bowl that Blazemaster blew for it, it is unbeatable. I haven't tried the verdamper, but hear nothing but good things about it.

Its Just Temporary
Don't really have a worst because they all have a time and place.
I like my Nano the best, its a beast.
My solo served me well for a long time, its a solid portable.
Sold the EQ after using it daily for a couple years, didnt see a reason to keep it around with 2 Nanos and 2 solos.

Worst: MFLB in first place and PAX1 in second. Pax delivers a very harsh vapor that dried your throat like hell...

Best: Plenty, knowing that you need to fill the chamber at least with a 0.35 grams to start working properly

I'll purchase a Mighty soon as portable

My worst purchase was the first Puffit Inhaler vaporizer. Hated it, never got great clouds. It was a bitch to keep clean. It didn't hold it's charge very well. I just wasn't happy with it and was ready to give up on vaping. Until my best purchase...

Which is the Arizer Solo. By far. This is the vape that got me to vape. Solid clouds and it's tough as nails. I've dropped it from some ridiculous places and it still works. My first vape purchase was a total waste of money. My second purchase was worth it and then some. I paid $160 shipped for mine brand new and it changed my life.

Best - underdog or Herbalizer. I constantly question my Herbalizer because I don't always get the same vapor density I see from my other vapes but I can't argue with the effects.

The underdog counts as one of my best purchases because it is such a quality handmade product and I have had incredible support and service from @underdog and @underdogette from start to finish. The vaporizer itself is hands down the most efficient extraction I've ever experienced. Humongous clouds with very scant materials.

The only thing I would love to see with my underdog is a way to use something like an ELB or some other form of encapsulated screen so that I can use the underdog without having to invert it without having to worry about material falling in. But, that's totally an indulgent want on my part. I thought for sure I would miss having a precision control, but my UD is just so pleasing that I've only used my vvps once and it has just been collecting dust ever since. The vvps is just too clunky and unnecessary for me to bother with it.

Worst: flowermate 8.0. I feel bad in a way because I pushed constantly to my SMISS rep to urge their engineers to delve into variable temperature control. I was so excited when they offered the 8.0 but it just didn't work well due to the weird air pathway. It produced weak vapor and was impossible to truly clean.

I really liked the bottom loading design from the 8.0 though and I really wish they would have continued using a bottom load design with a straight air path because I think the experience is superior with a longer airpath. However, they have stuck with the digital temperature control and I feel they've put out a great product with the 5.0 pro.

I'm a newb in the Wonderful World of Vapor, so my apologies for going a bit off topic, but I feel it necessary to give a huge THANK YOU to all the members that posted in this thread.

I realize the dichotomy involved here, and it's a subjective nature, but it's an awesome read for someone like myself, in the early stages of VAS.

I even adjusted my Wish List according to the posts here.

And to get a bit back on topic, although I've only owned one Vape; My precious DBV....

For anyone looking to switch from Combustion to Vaporization and on a budget, Da Buddha has fulfilled, (nay) has gone above and beyond all my expectations regarding vapor.

From my very first draw on this beast, Combustion is now barely visible in the proverbial Rear View Mirror moving forward.

Reading this thread, hopefully I never obtain a "Worst"

Thank you so much FC!

I truly love this community!

Been dying to answer this one. Grenco G-some-crap that I got a LHS that tasted like plastic. Best -- right now my pair of AA's (always on duty with 8 batts and a Solo to boot), in my future I see my enano replacing everything at home.

Chezgreendream

First the flavor, then the buZzz settles in....
Worst- Arizer Extreme Q- boy, was this thing overrated. I thought it was a total piece of crap from the beginning, I tried to like it, I really did. Gave it about two months to see of it would grow on me, well it didnt, I was so upset, I threw mines in the garbage.

Best- E nano

But then I dont know. Looking through the forum what some people have as the worse others have as the best. I guess it all boils down to your needs and personal preference

Best purchase - volcano classic. Have had this one atleast 13 yrs now. Its been used and abused the entire time, and STILL going strong as I type this now.

Worst - FM mini. Really wanted to like this one, but frankly I'd rather combust.

Really? That's one of the first poor reviews I've ever seen for the mini. What killed it for you? I found that the mouthpiece clogged easier than the original, but otherwise mine has been a solid device that I'm pretty pleased with.
