Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Awesome, thanks everyone. I was damn near ready to just start hitting it but I had a feeling FC would offer some advice.

Used hot water and dish soap and it's currently drying--I think I'll save the ISO wash for when it starts to get nasty.

MarsellusWallace,
I've never had a piece come from China that didn't have a kinda nasty smell to it (I assume it's picked up from the bubble wrap or something...) right out of the box.

I usually just give t a nice rinse with hot water and some dish soap.

1 or 2 rinses and the smell will be gone :)
Man, the smell that tape imparts...

I'd be VERY careful using hand soap to clean any glass pieces you'd be inhaling from

@digigator - do you think it's worth the price tag? Your review/video had me totally sold until I saw that I could buy nearly any piece I wanted on DHG for the same $, give out take five bucks.

I think it's worth it. A few reasons why:

1. It's thickness/weight, the extra material cost and shipping fees should be considered. I can hold this piece by the neck and smack a hater up side the head and I'm confident the piece would stay in tact. Can't say the same about the FC-710, the FC straight fab possibly.

2. The craftsmen ship on the details. Ie, where the joint goes into the piece is smooth, straight, not wobbly base, no bubbles, polished finish (no roughness to the feel). I've gotten some mix of these traits from other sellers, but not all at once.

3. A personal reason, it's small, there are some pieces which I'd pay more for a nice smaller version because I prefer smaller rigs for dabs.

I have a Pelican 1120 for my Sokol which I've confirmed would fit this perfectly, going to order another pelican from Amazon.

In this price range, I think you're looking at:
1. Straight fab, fair contender, comes down to personal preference on design.
2. Steven's Torus, fair contender, but I think the Torus is more for combustion with how large it is.
3. Steven's Mini, included this because it's a smaller travel piece. I prefer a banger's seal to a bucket any day. I had the V1, not sure if maybe the V2 is better, but I doubt it, you can never get a perfect seal with a bucket cap with the swing arm where it is.
4. Not sure what else to compare it to, not many quality mini rigs coming out of china.

@digigator -

Well.....****. Now I want one again, lol. It just seems like it would be perfect as my daily driver. I'd be vaping flowers and oil through my Haze and doing dabs off of a quartz banger that I have on the way. More than anything, the reports of top notch craftsmanship is what has my attention.

So I ordered the FC-UFO a couple weeks back. Piece arrived, but had a pretty substantial hole in one of the welds. Messaged Steven/Jane and they said they'd send a replacement; however, I just got a system message saying the funds would be released since the tracking info indicates it was delivered.

Obviously I'd prefer not to release any payment until I get a functioning piece, so I'm wondering has anyone else has been in this situation, and how did you handle it?

Man I'm thinking about getting one of these now since I too like smaller rigs. I was hoping the straight fab would be good for me but after looking at the pictures I like the size of the KT-OR9 I wish there was a function video of KT-REC09

Anyone interested in a Steven straight fab possibly? Haha

Also, I remember reading many pages back there is an alternate form of payment for DHgate... Does anyone remember that service off the top of their heads?

Steve did really nice on this one I hope its 18mm female
Super stoked for this one! In the comment son youtube he said he put it up last night and it should be available for sale today ! I keep hitting refresh to see if its available to buy yet.

I owned the diamond glass ball knockoff and while the form factor wasnt the prettiest , I really loved the function of it. Im hoping Steve can exceed my expectations with this one as always!

I'll just remind you that you use that soap to clean the items you prepare and eat food off of/with ;)

I used this dish soap called "Palmolive Pure + Clear". Hypoallergenic, no fragrance, no dyes. Only used a few drops so hopefully not too dangerous?

I'd still be careful and avoid dish soap. Even after hand washing things in the kitchen, generally there is soap spots left even after drying. Just make sure to rinse it completely!

I wouldn't want to be inhaling any of this stuff because of soap residue (although its prolly a bit overboard)

Go to the refund/return/dispute area and you can file a claim in there. It took me a while to figure it out. That will let DHgate you know have an issue and will hold the money longer. I am in the same situation. I have a huge hole where the perc is welded. Other piece is in the mail but I want to make sure its good. You can choose to get a refund or replacment ect.

I haven't bought a new China rig in a couple months but I think this will be the next one.
if/when my FC-710 arrives in good shape, I'll be purchasing this one as well. looks solid, even the joint bracing and especially the neck/MP.

I'm also kinda interested in that recycler from Kathy0578 as well.

Jane asked me for some detailed pics of the Propeller Perc today but I dont have sketech up or anything to provide a solid schematic for function :/

The Gordo and the FC-710 are in the states so I'm hoping to have them soon hopefully before i leave town for the weekend.

_WaxPayne_,
Quartz banger and FC 710 on the way. So amped, though in sure they won't be here for another week. Thanks for all the reviews and recommendations, guys.

It's always sunny in Colorado
First thing I'd ask is have you confirmed the matrix perc in your D020-D is fully firing? Or is it favoring only half the perc? I find many of my showerhead percs tend to favor 1/2 or 1/4 of the slits due to variations in the depth/size of the cuts - that's one of the reasons why I like the matrix perc on my GB-187-S over the perc on my FC-187v1 - slightly more diffusion ( just the right amount for me personally )

I'm using my FC-187 V2 from Steven but unfortunately only one or two slits fire if I don't pull hard, the matrix perc is tilted and some slits have chips missing but oh well!

I chose one with the logo and it seems to be the correct water level to not cough out my lungs but after a bowl I'm not able anymore unless I change the warm water and add an ash catcher for what I assume is adding moisture to the vapor.

Got the FC-donut finally today. Gotta say it was worth the wait though as this thing rips. Flavor seems to be about on par with the FC-710 if not slightly superior. Will need more testing. Really like how the downstem goes most of the way to the other side of the beaker so you can use minimal water and tilt it. Props to @blankrider for getting this made. Glass is a bit thicker than the FC-710, but I am sure won't be thick enough for some people. The downstem to the female joint is kind of off-centre (on mine, sure some others will be straight) which is the one aesthetic bummer with this piece, but still awesome. Definitely recommend if you are looking for another flavorful dab rig.
