Thank you for the support. I am working on adapting the business end of this device so it can easily be retrofitted to many existing smoking devices converting them into Vaping devices.

I am really loving this with the GonG adapter. Well done!

It may be out in October which is such a minimal wait I'm tempted. But I haven't been successful with the vapman which you heat with butane and then inhale. I'll see how I do with the peace, same idea, and then put in for the $30 vapcap.

Finally...time to make another dugout!
Looks like a perfect backup to the backup if nothing else!

Both the VapCap and the PyroVap click when they reach operating temperature.

@VapCap, can the metal caps be calibrated to click at different temps?
Could be nice to offer different caps for different needs?
Very simple design, looks great!

The metal part reminds me of pistol casings :D Looks interesting, with estimated retail at $30 if it can deliver it will be hard not to get one. Question for if/when they get their account verified: are we going to be only able to use it when it clicks? I assume that the click happens consistently at a specific temperature, so are we locked into using it only when it hits that temperature range before it cools off and clicks again?

They have an account I believe. They kinda answered the temp question. They said you can apply heat for no longer than 3 seconds after the click. It'll be fun to experiment though.

Both the VapCap and PyroVap do click a a specific temperature. This is what gives them the ability to use almost any heat source. They are useable before they click, but there will be minimal vapor production. They will however continue to produce some vapor as they cool down even after the reset or cool down click.

Okay that video is obviously not MJ, and I can't find mention of bowl size or material specifics or how it makes the click.
Bowl looks pretty small which to me is a good idea. .05ish loads in something like this form would make a great vaporizer alternative. Most of the time, if I'm combusting solo it's a dugout nowadays. Broke my bong smoking bowl and getting over joints... Seems this could convert another smoking style over to vaping.

The bowl or chamber size is 8mm or 5/16 wide by 10mm or 3/8 deep.
I'm in for an early bird VapCap. It's a no-brainer at this price point.

It looks neat, and I bet it can be mated to a 14mm down stem easily. Should make a reliable backup if nothing else.

I wish you the best @VapCap, will be checking in from time to time to see how things are progressing.

Check out the adapter I'm working on.

@VapCap is it safe to use back to back multiple times? Or do you have to give it a break in between bowls.

We have successfully used a VapCap dozens of back to back cycles with no issues. Just be careful when removing the cap as it will be hot! The glass under the cap stays hot for at least a minute after the cool down click.

Can u hear the click then keep heating for higher temps?
Yes, but not for more than about 2 seconds, or you might scorch.

Yeah this seems like Lotus meets glass chillum doesn't it?

@VapCap are you able to tell us more about how the herbs are heated? Convection? Conduction in play too? Such a mix that its its own thing really?

Very close to joining in on the why not train and going with a $20 dry herb, but will to be adding the GonG adapter to the percs? I feel like I'm gonna have to get that (and seem it could even be used dry as well? Mouth direct on 14mm joint, or would it get hot? Could the silicone just fit over the GonG then?)

Nice design and great price!

@VapCap, is a single heat cycle typically enough to cash a bowl completely? Does stirring a bowl increase its lifespan any?

It is my intention to make both the 14mm and 18.8mm available.
The VapCap works with what seems to be an industry first 3-way hybrid, radiant / conduction / convection thermal transfer design. In addition the counterflow air induction keeps the hot end hot and gets the vapor out more effectively. This allows for some nice functionality, such as 3-5 second warm up times from a cold start and approx 2 second reheat times, while maintaining operational temperature for 15-45 seconds.
It typically takes between 4 and 6 heating cycles to extract all the goodness. The quality of what you put in makes a big difference on this as well as how far you go past the click. (2-3 seconds max.)
The chamber dimensions have been optimized for uniform heat transfer, so stiring is unnecessary.
Hope this helps.
Thank you everyone for the support!
