Hey maybe it's the cannabis that keeps you looking younger. I was on the cover of my book, "The Firefighter's Workout Book"... search it on amazon, I was 40 in that pic. Currently, my website is all about kettlebells and fitness, and has a few pictures of me.

I'm now 57. My website: ----> http://kbgym.com

An old girlfriend once told me she thought pot was a preservative of human tissue. I know if I would have been drinking this heavy for 40 years, I would not look and feel like I do today.

Thank God for pot!
Yes! Kettlebells! I've got a small but growing collection (2x 15#, 2x 25#, 2x 30#, one 35#, and one 45# ). Nothing like throwing around a giant ball of metal! Should see some of the looks I get in the gym when I'm warming up with a kettlebell

yeah, that river in Egypt, where (i'm told) you supervised construction of the sphinx ... are you ever going to tell us what the fuck it is?

It's a fucking Sphinx. What in the hell else would it be?

On another note, THIS was the first computer I ever operated. It was in the Bank of America ERMA center in West Los Angeles. We got all of the checks in from all the local branches and fed them into the sorter shown below so that all those numbers in magnetic ink were copied to tape. Fucking sorters used to jam all the time and just chew up checks. Damn check eaters.....

First gaming system that I owned though was this:

And my first home 'puter was this:

Sure wish people would quit asking me about that goddamn Sphinx though. Haven't thought about that in ages......

I DENY old.

No, you defy "old".

When you owe mother nature lunch you've definitely been around the block.

I think we all owe more respect you, I mean - come on, how many of you fuckers lived to witness....

WW2
Vietnam
The parting of the Red Sea
The Korean War
The Black Plague
That Big Flood
The Long Walk Through the Desert....
The Sinking of Atlantis

Come on guy's. He's a legend around here. And aside from the occasional rant and rave he's got his shit more together than most of us.

Love ya lwein, I for one am proud that you have indigestion older than some of our members. Keep up the good work, and btw - @dorkus_molorkus wants his leather pants and fishnet shirt back.

23 here. I gotta agree with everyone saying the community here is more mature than most places on the web. I haven't ever seen anywhere quite like FC. I'm antisocial on and off-line, but I love being a member here. I hope FC is still around when I'm in my 50's and 60's.

Born in '60. My first real buzz was when I found a joint in the bathroom at a family gathering. I fired it up while Roundabout was playing. Was quick to become a full on, dedicated head (and Yes freak). First purchase was a nickel bag. Got kicked out of the house (for a weekend) when I refused to throw out a copy of High Times. Alas, decided to walk away from mj in my late 20s when the quality took a big leap and I couldn't keep up. Thanks to vapor, I'm back with a vengance. Like being 14 all over again.

Culturally, I'm a child of the early 70's, even though I had the benefit of a sibling that was 4 yrs. older than me who played lots of cutting edge hippie music (Jefferson Airplane was her preferred method of picking a fight with my dad, but I liked it when she played Fairport Convention). I'm just now reading (thanks to a post in the picture thread) Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. 'Twas a cool time! We owe lots to that generation!

And btw @iwien being an avid cat lover myself, I love your avatar, is it your kitty?

Click on my avi and see what it does. But no, not my cat.

I'm 24 but I have the hairline of someone @lwien 's age, hell his may be better then mine. Often have been mistaken for being older then I am; have been balding since I was 18 lol curse you father!

I feel your pain. My hair has also long been in the process of migrating away, and I'm only 23

What's really happening there is that as you age (and sometimes, like you guys who are young), when you notice your hair is thinning out or notice a receding hairline, you aren't actually losing your hair. What's really happening is that your hair starts growing in the other direction and eventually, when you get to around 65 to 70, you'll notice that it starts to exit through your nose and ears. I have no idea why it changes direction like that. Completely dumbfounds me. :hmm:

For the world is hollow and I have touched the sky
At 21 years old, I suppose I fall squarely in the "youngster" category...

But as others have said also, I'm glad the demographic here is slightly older than the average internet forum. I think it's a big contributing factor to the friendly, helpful, intelligent environment here at FC that we all love. (The other factor being the mods' hard work at keeping "the stupid" at bay, of course ;))
