I'm mostly using my mlfb vaping, leaving it for 30 seconds, vaping again, and so on for maybe 10 minutes. Don"t really know if I can call it session or heat-on-demand vaping.
What about vapor production, and battery life? And why do you prefer, personnaly your pax2 to your mlfb ?

The Mflb never really got me medicated quickly , i would have to grind really fine with it and sit there for a few trenches to actually get medicated. With my pax 2 i just load it up with a reg grind , turn it on and wait a minute for it to heat up. Start my session and get huge clouds and medicated after only a few puff's. It is just easier for me personally and gets me where i want to be quicker. If your looking for something kind of similar to the mflb go check out the grasshopper vaporizer. It has a 5 second heat up time and puts out huge clouds.

Yeah, as a former mflb user I totally agree with @Justpassedu's assessment. I also like how the pax's oven holds the herb and I can just toss the pax into my pocket, the mflb would shed a little kief/herb and I'd feel weird carrying it around like that. The pax 2's heating appears to stay constant and uniform until the battery runs out, I'd find the various batteries I used with my mflb would have a long decreasing tail of power, and I'd get frustrated until I realized what the problem was.

I have MFLB. I also have a Pax 1 and a Pax2. I love the Pax2 because it's a very easy vape and very tasty.

Hey all i received my Pax 2 pusher setup from newvape last week and thought i would give you my thoughts on it. Design wise i think it's a cool idea , quality is very nice although i was not to happy with my results. My original purchase was made bc i was doing my 1st cleaning and realized i wanted a screen that was easier to take out and clean, which this screen meets those requirements for me ( falls out just by turning it upside down ) but i will say the company stated airflow was greatly improved using it. I did not find this to be true and found it was the same as my stock screen which has the small feet at the bottom. My biggest gripe is heat with it , i have noticed since the screen is thicker by about 3x the stock screen that i had to go up a temp to get the same results as the stock screen and that is what i mainly did not like. Most people purchase it to able to have a smaller load and not fill the entire chamber and i will say it works nicely for that but that was not my primary reason for purchasing as i like the long sessions with this vape. I also found with just using the screen and not the pusher that my session was shorter , i am not sure why but i am guessing it is possibly bc the screen is bigger and gets very hot causing the load to cook quicker. I am no scientists and this is just my opinion and how i feel after using it for a few days. I am wondering what others think that have this setup ?

Trying a pax2 this weekend. Kind of excited. What is a good setting to vape on? I like my temps no higher than 200C. Ideally 188C or 195C

First and second setting, and if you are brave enough level 3. At level 4 is where it starts to feel more like smoke than vapor (although it never combusts, cause you know FuckCombustion).

Yes, that's right - a portable fucking charging cradle for the Pax2! Still tweaking the settings and waiting for my bulk order of Velcro straps to arrive. But it's coming along great!

@Ojan_at_PAX , is it true you are going to expand to Europe until September 2015? I found a shop claiming to have the original pax 2 and accessories until September. I could make a preorder already now, so it would be nice to know if the reseller is legit and their pax 2 has full warranty. Thx in advance and here the link which could be interesting for other Europeans still interested in a pax 2 for 255€ after taxes:

Ok all! I'm back and I'd like to officially introduce my new Pax2 Portable Charging Dock!!

From the first week this vape was introduced, I had multiple requests to make *SOMETHING* to help people charge this vape "on the go".

Not having the vape myself, I had very little clue wtf everyone was talking about until I finally got my grubby hands on a Pax2 and discovered how finicky that charger can be. Well after a bit of trial and error (and a whole lot of tweaking the height adjustment between the charger section and the vape itself), I finally created a stand which fit my needs, and I hope your's

Posting to let others know of the Massdrop that just went up on Pax 2. If enough join we can get them for $205 without the accessories bundle, or $250 with.
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/pax-2?s=pax 2

Curious if anyone knows if these come with a warranty from massdrop? I saw on reddit people saying they may not, so I'm cancelling the order for now.

I highly doubt the 10 yr warranty will be in effect if buying via mass drop. Most companies do not warranty when purchasing from them from my experience and Pax is pretty strict when it comes to this also as they usually only honor from authorized retailers.

This is correct. Massdrop is not an authorized seller for our products so there won't be a 10 year warranty with a PAX purchased from them. I mentioned this in a previous post a few pages back, but my search-fu isn't strong this morning.

Pax has always been great with customer service and their warranty is great. They really seem to stand behind their products, "Pax Corp" still made the same amount of profit of the massdrop units as they do from any other reseller....so as long as the numbers match as an authentic pax... there has ALWAYS been warranty :2c:

This Link (if it works here) got me very happy with my pax 2.
I ordered a 3 pack of the new dimpled screens.
I put one screen in first on an angle (as normal)
Then fill oven with dry well ground.
Tamp down til the material is very compact.
put a screen flush on top of the load and tamp.
take the old shitty screen that came with unit and bend in half like a spring.
put this spring on top( v shape ) of second screen and put oven lid on so nothing moves.
I got some very nice dense pulls without filling the whole oven, I still had to stir once to fully extract.

edit
I know this is a pax1 in the video, I am using same method for pax2

It was $249.99 on MassDrop with the Pax 2 Pusher. Without the Pusher it was $204.99 which seemed like a good price for the new unit. The drop is currently over, but it will likely come back soon because I think it did quite well.

I have never dealt with MassDrop before, so this is not an endorsement of their business. Some people complain it takes a long time to get their products, but others swear by the savings!

Apparently you don't get a manufacturer's warranty with it, which sort of makes this not worthwhile. This is too bad, I thought this might of been a good avenue for purchase.

Sort of silly they won't offer warranty on the product - nor does the website state it will come without one either.

I was tempted to buy one of those Massdrop deals. However, paying the extra 50 or so, is for the peace of mind knowing I'm covered for 10 years. It's like buying the extended warranty for a new car. It's not worth the risk gambling for the short game.

Cloudy...
My PAX2 just arrived and I'm gonna clean it before use. Can I put the mouthpieces and the lid in a jar with ISO without damaging them¿

Edit: Ok i found that the lid shouldn't be soaked in iso, just a quick wipe, what about the mouthpieces?

The mouthpieces you can dip and then clean them in ISO. Just don't leave them in there too long. Enjoy, have you seen the hints and tips on using the Pax?

Cloudy...

Thank you so much!! A lot of really good info there.

Past night I did my first test with just a pinch of herb, enough to cover the screen but still with some spots where you can see the silver and both the pusher and the screen from newvape... I'm amazed, nice clouds with not much herb, I sleeped like a little baby!! I wasn't expecting it to be so good :science:

Thanks for your feedback...we definitely want you to have an awesome experience with the Screen/Pusher but it sounds like you aren't there yet. True enough, each will be absorbing some of the heat produced around the chamber, so this may cause a delay in the entire chamber being up to temp, but we have found this is only by 10-15 seconds on initial heat up. We feel this is offset slightly by the screen's/Pushers thickness offering additional heat retention through out the bowl. For those that take long breaks between hits its probably wise to turn the unit off just before you hit it, so that by the end of your hit you should have cooled the unit sufficiently so that it does not continue to vape your herb. For those that like to go through the bowl more rapidly, the heat level is as consistent as without the screen/Pusher, if not more. Always ready to rock!

You mention that you have to go up a temp level to achieve the same results. We're frustrated by this, as the heater surrounds the entire oven like a blanket, so regardless of contents, Screen/Pusher or no, at level 1,2,3 or 4 it should be able to produce the same level and quality of vapor, and in our experience, better. It might take a few seconds longer to heat up, but once your PAX2 is at the temp you set it should be ready to rock, Screen/Pusher or not. This is not at all to discount your experience. We are going to go back and do some temperature testing with our lab thermometer and test the settings with and without our setup.

The scallops on your screen should definitely allow for better airflow, please try to test it without anything loaded(if you haven't already) with the pax upside down so that the screen rests against the hole. We've checked our tolerances and within our own PAX's, and everything is flowing better. In a clean oven, we haven't seen a situation where airflow wasn't improved.

At the end of the day we want you to be happy, so let us know if you aren't!

can't say i like the idea of my metal pax2 slotted into a metal WPA. Scratched much??:(

The WPA is surprisingly scratch-free unless you were out of control with it, but our new version uses an o-ring with adjustable snugness. We didn't do this because of potential scratching, rather it was due to the fact that not all Pax 2's have the same OD, which made the fit in the WPA too inconsistent. The older WPA did allow for additional airflow around the perimeter which really aided the use in a water pipe, but when we unleashed the vented lid for the Pax 2, the flow increased so much that we just went with the new o-ring design that completely seals the unit to the WPA.
