How Many Vaporizers Do You Own and Why?

And in this survey, include ALL vaporizers, be they clones or not, that are "marketed" as vaporizers that can vaporize dry herbs.

I'll start.

I own 4. The LSV, the MFLB, a teflon core Minivap and a glass core MiniVap. And the reason that I own all four is that they are in constant rotation being that I am a firm believer that there are vape signatures that one can get used to and that switching vaporizers helps to keep my tolerance in check. Also, I use the MFLB for maintenance hits being that it is so convenient to do so with it's instant on/off capability and I rotate the LSV and the Mini's to go dry and through water for the previous mentioned vape signature affects.

For me, I just don't see the need to own any more than that but I am sure that there are valid reasons being that many of you own many more than I do.

I technically own 6.
3 are retired for various reasons (see sig)
I use 3

Vapman ... all day every day
Mighty ... bigger sessions / group
SSV ... on loan / back up ... old faithful.

Fills my needs ... tempted by a real monster hitter .. sub or evo. But not really that bothered as a dab can fill that need.

I have 5. I just have to try them to know which is best for me. I'm always on the lookout for the best experience possible. They all have their roles. Mighty and MV I use every day after work. At the weekends when I have no work the next day I'll get utterly smashed on the Plenty or Volcano. I always pack them out so the bowl size combined with how much stuff I want to use determines which vape gets used. Fuck knows where the Titan is though, I think it's in a drawer somewhere. It actually wasn't too bad but I was put off when someone stripped it down and showed innards and all the bad stuff you could inhale.

Just 6 right now. Would be 5 if I could get rid of my lily that goes unused. Realistically 2 of them (underdog, and sub) would fill all of my vaporizer needs easily but I guess its nice to have other stuff to use as a change of pace. Slowly but surely getting rid of worthless portables lol

Currently 3: MFLB, Solo, and Daisy. Purchased in that order. While the MFLB was not my first vape, it is the oldest that I still own). Next vape I buy will probably be an AC-powered unit, like the LSV or ENano. That would give me a nice range of power-source options: analog battery, digital battery, butane, and AC outlet.

I only have one. Vapir Rise 2.0. Has a nice direct draw, 4 hose hook up for friends, or even a balloon set up.

I do want to purchase a portable for the convenience factor and being able to bring gone out. As a home thing, my Vapir meets all my needs. For going out, well I am saving for a Crafty.

I would say that at least half are "semi-retired". The ssv is still used ~daily as an aromatherapy device, not so much as a whip vape these days but it's always ready to go if needed. The lsv was my infinity backup, but the og cloud has supplanted this so it's been relegated to mostly experimental mode. The ion is a special occasion or company vape, balloons are nice sometimes but not every day. The hi doesn't get used enough because I have log issues, but it's my only log and I don't want to part with it at least not yet. I hardly ever use the genie but still find it awesome when I do (kinda like the ion). The og walnut firewood feels nice in my hand and fits well in the genie case, plus it has zero resale value so I keep these two together.

I've never even used my ufo so not sure how to answer that one (ultimate zombie apocalypse vape)!

I was surprised to see that you acquired two minivaps, I remember when you couldn't afford a firefly! I've always been curious, how would you summarize the differences between the glass and teflon cores?

I still can't afford a FireFly. The Mini's were sent to me for review and feedback.

In regards to the difference between the two, I like the teflon a bit better. I know that the glass is supposed to provide denser vapor but for me, I've found just the opposite. The teflon gives me all the vapor that my lungs can handle.

With that being said though, and I know this has never been mentioned before, I've found that the Mini's get better with age in that they produce more vapor at any given temp after being used about 10 times than they do when they are brand new. This could explain the difference between the glass and the teflon in that the glass MV has only been used a few times whereas the teflon has been used about 20 times. With more use on the glass, my opinions stated above could change.

Some of the vaporizers that I bought I wanted to be one of the first to own them. I was excited and could hardly wait to get them. Such as the Ascent, Pinnacle Pro (2) The Arizer Air, The Indica I received as a beta unit after the first run. I no longer use the Pinnacle Pros because of cracked plastic. I use the Ascent more than the Indica because the flavor is better. I only use the Indica occasionally. The Air I keep in rotation it has a nice flavor

Vapir No. 2. I only occasionally use. I saw @Vitolo demonstrating it in a YouTube video. He led me to FC.
The No. 2 is pretty bulky and doesnt have as good of flavor as some of my other portables. I haven't used it in over a year. It helped me to fuckcombustion so it has sentimental value - I won't give it away.

Solo (2) 2014 models and a 2012 Solo. I keep the 2 newer Solos in rotation. I want them to last a long time so if I have 2 that I use there's not so much wear and tear on the one unit. My 2012
Solo I haven't used in over 6 months. I won't sell it. It will eventually be an antique far as I'm concerned.

Cherry Custom Enano - I loved it so much because of the flavor and ease I bought another one. I also have a custom walnut Enano. Lately I have been using the cherry more, just because it's so beautiful.

I mainly keep 5 units in rotation- Enano, Solos (2), Ascent, Air. The rest are my collection and are put away.
I believe as @lwien does it keeps your tolerance down to use more than one vaporizer. I do use my Enano more than my Solos while at home. Using several different strains also keeps tolerance down.

I'm like the rest of you, always looking for that perfect vaporizer. @lwien perked my interest about the MiniVap hmmmmm. I also have been keeping my eyes on the GrassHopper. I have no desire to be the first to own that one. FCers can buy them and be beta testers for all of us.

It looks like I own 11 vaporizers, I had to count, remember we're not hoarders we're collectors.;)

But I like it!
My NO2 is now a loaner for friends. The EQ is here, but I realized I'm missing 1/2 the power supply, so it's kinda out of commission. So here's whats active:

MiniVAP - teflon, delightful. I get good flavour on the 3 lower settings, and can only go red through water, but man the effects at each level are very distinct, and quite fun to experiment with. It travels with me, and the batteries have lasted me full day trips and multiple loads for full days.

Heat Island - always on not far from the keyboard - with a collection of tubes right beside it, I can load as much or as little to accomplish what I'm after - frequent last stop before bedtime.

Vapman - Due to where we live there is a requirement to have something off batteries. Vapman is much more than a power-failure option tho - fun to load, interestintg to heat up, and the closest thing to smoking a joint I can think of. Needs a torch lighter, but works for flower, oils, kief, etc. This is my 'sit outside with coffee and watch the sun rise' vape...

Pre-order
Grasshopper - because nothing beats a great performing stealth vape, and if it lives up to the hype it'll fill the stealth/easily carried gap, and will spend a lot of time out hiking and exploring the country. This, I trust, will fill my Inhalater gap.

Zion - battery powered log vape. It's been built and modified in real time on FC, and I'm looking forward to it crushing my head as per the feedback.

1. and 2. I have 2 AA's that I have begun to love, efficiency of the stems, packing light, ritualistic stirring, even stealth as it is, it's more of a home vape for me (sip for hours)
3. Mighty kicks ass. Can't load as light, but its' not really any less efficient, but provides the opportunity to rip (and get a little greedy)
4. I also have and Elevape Smart Vape I just can't get and just sold a Plenty bc of the amount of material I was going through
5. I purchased a Grenco G Vape or some crap, and there gathering dust, and I refuse to sell to anyone. Not sure why I just don't throw away.
6. Oh yeah, a Pax 1, but it never worked right with all the bs you had to do with the mouthpiece and high maintenance, not bad when it worked
7. not ordered yet, been working on building stash and holding off on VAS, but an Enano is about to happen

vakednotfried

i get vaked and hit vongs is it so wrong?
:brow:had a few but sold them off only have 3 and another on the way.
extreme q - for bong hits.

arizer solo - To lay back with when I cant be bothered to vong with the eq.

arizer air - back up and one I use for extra stealth when in public.

and have a cloud on the way for the man cave.

Level 30 Nature/Healer
They will always be on my signature updating when needed.
So you aren't wasting time counting I've owned 30 vaporizers as of 7/15/15

My current usage is...

Underdogs, Hammers, NimbinVaps, VaporGenies, T-Vapes

Everything else is not getting used or has been gifted to someone.

Simply put I like vaporizers, I really wanted some for different scenarios and was gifted others for reviews and sometimes I just want to experiment with a vape to become its master. I think they all give their own unique signature which makes owning multiple models a treat. I would like to only have 3 different vapes but a max of 3 of the same kind so I hope to end out with only 9 vapes total.

EDIT: Why my current units

UD is for the easy whenever I want it now action, I have 3 dogs and at least one is always on. If I need a hotter dog I use my Mini, if I want strong hits I use my 2012 classic (running 24/7), and for lighter temps my newer classic twig doesn't seem to always run too hot.

Hammer is for when I want a relaxed session with my friend (aka the Hammer) anywhere. I've explained why I like it in the What is ***YOUR*** best... thread.
Vape: Hammer
Category: Portable, All-in-One Butane Based Power Tool
Comments: It's been a master at everything I've thrown at it; bags, convection (intended mode),conduction, concentrates in both convection and conduction (dabs). Quick (one hit) Extractions, miniscule bowls, quick heat ups, isolated SS airpath. It IS the most versatile piece in my arsenal.
Also mates with UD accessories, highly suggest those pieces over the default Hammer lock-on stems (may require MFLB tubing).

NimbinVap is an interesting new piece, I use it with my UD glass on glass stem and it is wonderful. An extremely quick extraction is possible and a heavier extraction without combustion. Along with supreme airflow basically my butane based Versa that doesn't mind torches or soft flames.

VaporGenie doesn't actaully get used much maybe once every other week. It's primarily since it has been outshined by the newness of the NimbinVap but I see myself keeping the VaporGenies while I probably won't keep my current generations of Nimbins.

T-Vape is for when I am planning to be seen and want people to look away because I have nothing of interest. It also puts out clouds so huge you'd think you're combusting. Unfortunately it also turns very very quick but can extract everything out of the herbs without actually popping a cherry. Also the interchangeable batteries are a nice bonus. I do however hope that it gets replaced by a gH pretty soon.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
I used to think you only need two, a daily and a backup unit. FC changed that.

In order of preference,

Daisy - daily big bong rips at home.

Crafty - session vape for watching TV or discreet vaping out and about.

Lily - non-descreet portable for at a friends house.

Volcano - re-vaped AVB late night high temp medication. (Planning to sell this for an Errectric concentration station with herb nail so I can try some water filtration.)

Vapman - commandeared by Mrs H (and I will not be getting it back)

VB11 pen - giving to my Mum for oils.

Four in total, two currently in use:

Underdog - daily driver. Looks great, works great, is great.
Vapman - bought for main portable but really gives the UD a run for its money at home too. Amazing little vape.
MFLB - benched. Little outclassed in vapor production these days but still the best vape to learn the subtleties of vaping and manual temperature control IMO. Will always hold a special place in my heart.
DBV - never clicked with me. Whip too long, bowl too big. Currently gathering dust.

I see more vapes in my future though, particularly butane powered ones.

MFLB Taste machine on the the go. Got a few.
LSV Its the current do it all, thanks to easy cheap simple mods.
Solo A guest vape, currently out on loan.
Nano The quick and easy end of the day vape for glass.

I could live with owning only one of the above but I am so glad to have a range because they all have their strong points.

Hey now,
I have five vapes:

Nano – Cherry with 2 basket stems and 2 basket GonGs (14 + 19mm).

Solo x 2 – Silver & black, 5 regular stems graded by their respective restrictedness.
One each of PVHEStems Turbo, Regular & Vortex.
One each of PVHEGonGs 14M Solo, 14M Regular, 14M Turbo, 14F Shorty & 19F Regular.
Caps for all and travel tubes where applicable.

V-Tower – Cyclone bowl & elbows
2 x DDave adapters for basket screen packs
1 litre homemade vaporlung.

Flowermate Vapormax – self contained, big battery, superfast heatup 30 seconds to 200C

Vapor path is all glass for all but the Flowermate.
I have 2 of every combo of glass adapter (MtoM, MtoF, FtoF in 14, 14/19 & 19 sizes) so that I can pair any of the above with water tools or j-hooks with the exception of the Flowermate.

I only use the Flowermate outside, on blustery winter dog walks when conduction works better IMO. The spring addition of the Nano has relegated the V-Tower to storage for group sessions.

Originally, I had a PAX for ‘off the property’ discretion but it was just too finicky so I got rid of it. I use the Solo now. All I need is shelter from the wind and bit of privacy.

I agree with @lwien on the need for variety regarding vape signatures and tolerance. To that end, I rotate the Nano and both Solos wet and dry.

ABV out

It is the human condition to seek better. If we could ever match expectations to 6 month later reviews we would stop experimenting and all be using light-bulbs and straws instead of the myriad of choices we have.
