thoroughly vaped
Can't believe I forgot to add this video link. This must be at least the 10th or 12th time I've posted it, but plenty of new folks around who could probably benefit from it.

@Caligula posted a great video some time ago that shows how to do a good 2 hit extraction with your nano on a bubbler. I call it a 2-3 hit extraction, because my lungs just don't do it like that anymore! Check it out as a good starting point and tweak for yourself from there. He also has a good many vape vids on his youtube page, including a few other good ones for the nano. Great stuff! When he first posted this I had had my nano for almost a year. It was still a game changer for me, and remains pretty much my favorite way to nano - with a few personal tweaks of course.

Check it out

Vapes: MFLB, Solo, E-nano
So today my GonG finally got to me, I hooked up and man let me tell you now I know what the E-nano is capable of :brow: This thing is sooo efficient compared to my solo, I only put 0.05 of some GTR in and this the most cleanest best high I've ever gotten from a vaporiser ( MFLB+Works, Solo) also got plenty of hits. Also I'm loving how there isn't basically any draw restriction compared to the solo with my bubbler, just so smoooth.

As mentioned, warm up time isn't really a major issue - not at all if you leave it on as most do. Mine has been on most of the time 24/7 at around 6 on the dial for a couple years+, and nary an issue related to this. I do turn it off if I won't be home for more than 10 - 15 hours. Other than that it is usually only off while in transit. So my heat up time = 0. Load, hit, ahhhhhhh :). You can also throw some aromatherapy oil on there and have your place smelling nice while your aren't hitting on it.

The major difference is how they are powered. HI & UD (the other two main log vapes) run on DC power. nano runs on straight AC. Just posted a bit about this in the last few pages. Always good to read a little - especially last 10 pages or so - before just asking. No worries!! Happens all the time. Just trying to help.

While I'm here with such things, nano usually referred to as "nano", seldom even "e-nano". "EN" even threw me for a loop for a second, and I probably see this thread as much as my TV!

Seriously doubt you'll see many changes in log vapes. Think @Snappo who just posted above while I was typing here, hit it very well! In another way of saying it, I highly doubt you'll buy a nano now, and then in 6 months be hit with "Oh shit! I should have waited because this new log vape is so much different and looks amazing." They actually haven't evolved too much at all. Some, that are now gone, were very similar to those available now. Think the biggest evolution - found only in nano as far as logs go - is native AC. Couple of differences, but biggest to most users is that it comes ready to adjust the heat with a dial built into the cord. DC logs require a variable voltage supply (purchased as an option or separately) to adjust voltage/temp. Think this is a relatively new development over the past several years, too.

Buy several stems for party mode? Would definitely work!! One of the cool things about the nano is that it is virtually impossible to draw the heat down (as is the case with some vapes - especially some portables). The heating element stays at temp no matter how often or how much you hit it. So, could easily give everyone their own loaded stem (or have them load themselves) and pass nano around. Think that would be fun! If with one other person, I usually just pass back and forth, taking turns on who gets the first hit (not always the best hit, but often). For 3 or 4 people, I usually do a small load for each individual and let them hit it for a few minutes until spent, then reload for the next. Once everyone gets going I load a little bigger and pass it around for one hit then pass to next person. Again, always a good idea to switch who hits first, same as if you're packing bowl to combust.
Sorry I meant to say a/c vs d/c!

Anyways I was playing with a set up pretty cool actually!

I took a picture however I don't know how to load it from a tablet?
Maybe later however GSC with the NANO is RAD!
my gong is so full?
@Dizzie206 I use a SOLO for my garden tool!
The MFLB is a battery loving machine I have no patience for?
Yes the NANO is awesome!

Calm Consistency
So this just happened..
I put some oil ontop of my bud in my GonG. Okay simple enough. Problem was, my bud was too filled, and as soon as I dropped the Nano on I heared Ssssszzzzz, and knew the fate of my concentrate (rhyme intended:cool:). I flip the Nano over to see her bubblin on the heater. I quickly put it on my GonG and rip it, hoping to get as much as I could, and OMG, I was sweatin' for days! I got about 3 rips out of it (+ the bud). Very good experience, won't do it again because don't want to damage Nancy!

If you get oils into your core and need to dry/remove it, as I have with essential oils for another log vape. Safely on glass or another surface that won't burn, turn you log on and flip her upside down for a bit and let the heat and gravity do the work.

Hi everybody, i'm lurking here for quite a while now, and because of the enthousiasm in this topic i decided to join in on the massdrop thing for the enano ;) So thanx you all.
My stepdown converter is on the way, now i can hardly wait for the enano to turn up as well!

By the way, @Enchantre, where did you get that mouthpiece that's in the fc187's mouthpiece?
I really need something like that as well, i like the fc187 but the mouthpiece makes me drool horribly..

Oh, so sorry. I should have overtly said "Hey everyone, I reposted @ataxian 's photo so the link wouldn't show as broken".

The FC187 has a large mouth piece!
Some like it?
With most of my glass i put CHILLUM'S on the end.
I wrap plumber's tape or electrical vinyl tape to make a seal.

CHILLUMS are around $10.00
at the local smoke shop.

Glass is like LEGO'S or THINKER TOY'S!

Thanks @Enchantre !

Hey there nano fans. I've got some Dairy Queen strain in a sparkling clean stem - wow what a difference that makes. Good flavor is where it's at. I'm out on the back patio having a relaxing afternoon. I did some cooking and cleaning before it got too warm. It's suppose to heat up again.

I really have saved on the cannabis budget since I bought the nano. Great extraction of the goodies too.

I want to thank all of you that give some great detailed information that helps some of the newer nano owners such as myself.

DHgate screwed up on my bubbler order and had listed as 3 - D022 bubblers coming to me. I had to straighten that out so I suppose it will slow down the process. I had ordered over a week ago and it hadn't went out yet. I needed to go through the process with my credit card all again.

I like to turn the stem as I draw I don't know if anyone else likes to do that? I save a bit more cannabis using the nano, not a huge amount compared to the Solo. The Nano doesn't cook your cannabis while you aren't drawing from it. The Solo and Air continues to cook my material while its sitting.

As with the Solo the Nano uses as much material as you want to put in the bowl. You do need to be careful that the heating element isn't touching your material. The nano has an adjustable basket stem if you want a huge bowl.

I'm not knocking the Solo and the Air they are both great vaporizing units. I still highly recommend them. The Nano is just a different type of vaporizer. The heat doesn't go down when you take a draw. The heat holds steady. You just get more power with a desk top.

EDIT
Also as I get to the end of my bowl my cannabis still has a good flavor. I hold on to my nano when taking a draw, I usually don't hover.

the decision has been made. My next vape is the eNano, thanks for help in the decision making process and all my dumb questions @stickstones
It's been a dry spell, need to make a couple of sales to satisfy VAS, and quiet wife down . Come on professional life, don't you know I yearn for a nano!!!

@CarolKing you're the perfect person to ask (AA / Solo). Can you save that much over the AA if stirred and bumped up? I was getting 20 nice full sips from .06 sometimes....

So I've been using a little silicon tubing to seal the gap between my GonG and my D020 and it's been going super duper. I've been loading extremely small amounts (I should get a gram scale...), tamped down, and gotten one super milky and then a couple decent hits per extremely tiny amount. I've taken to inverting the basket, since it seems like that adds greater control in how close your herb gets to the grid, but I worry about my stuff kind of bleeding down around the edges of the bowl's exterior and being hard to clean/impossible to stir.

Hat's off to whoever it was that suggested using lemon juice in their bubbler, talk about making clean-up a breeze. And I actually use enough (you don't have to) to impart a taste because I enjoy it, especially with my kind of piney/citrusy strain that I'm using.

Mmmmmmmmm Dairy Queen is AWESOME, love me some TGA Genetics.

After reading through this thread, I'm pretty damn sure the Nano is my next Vape.

I'm loving the design, simple and elegant, and seems to be a great product.

Again; FC is just an amazing Forum/Community.

Just need a little time to scrape up the cash... Being a pain patient is costly and I'm still paying for my double hip replacement last year.

But, I'm just starting my Vapor journey... Never going back to Combustion...so (at the very least) 2 Vapes are now a necessity .

Thanks to Epicvape,and FC.

@Ace of Space, this is what I use to modify my mouthpieces, basically a modified Rabbit wine stopper and some silicone tubing (@Tweak turned me on to this setup):

OpdtPfK.jpg

The above is my favorite setup and makes for some great lazy sessions. I can watch the action, not crain my neck, let it heat soak if desired, and with the carbed GonG there is basically no effort expended on my part.

This is another mod I did waiting for the wine stopper to show up. I took the standard stem with silicone sleeve and carefully wedged it into a mouthpiece that I still despise many months later:

AGwfYV5.jpg

Hope that helps.

Edit: @CarolKing - I also religiously rotate my stems when hitting. I also add some coconut oil to my GonGs so I can do the same when using a bubbler. Highly recommended.

YEAH! Me too, I always lick my lips() before I take my hit because it makes turning the glass stem easier. And I also usually move my bowl around, for me it's usually back and forth because I usually pick my nano up and hold it stem facing me while I sip.

Is this just the normal way though or does anybody actually hit there's by bending over it? Just as I typed this I wondered. I mean, I have even laid it down on its side, supported from rolling by the power cord, and had the stem hanging off the side of whatever it's on and it was perfect height to hit hands free!

I guess my point is...goddamn every day you can use this thing differently.

Also I guess I haven't really experimented all too too much yet. I've sort of found a groove I like right now and we'll see what happens later! I just leave my basket on the "default" depth and pack it (I really like a nice fluffy grind that once lightly packed fills just under half the available space) then I go willy nilly on the draw. Mostly I sip it real slow while simultaneously rotating the stem and also moving it back and forth. Depending on heat (which also mostly always stay right below 6) I'm really just looking for a nice sensation in my lungs and minimal clouds. Of course I do love taste but with my nano I don't really even miss sacrificing it most of the time. But when I do go for taste, MAN does it deliver.

Never fails to hit me in the face by the time I'm done stirring though! And I usually can get two good draws before having to stir.

And EpicVape comes thru. Just as I thought the delay was due to vacations and the Holiday. Received on package on the 11th, the other on Monday. And today I received an email from Nadia. A+ customer service! And they have the Koa's back in stock! Hope they are still around when payday comes on Friday!

However, the nano is very simple to use right out of the box. Not hard to get vapor at all. But, it is also very versatile with many ways to adjust and tweak. This allows it to become a very personal vape also, but the tweaking and adjusting is secondary.

Heya flotntoke, Brother, I just wanna thank you for all the great informative posts. I can tell you that you are wearing your passion for Vaporists and their experience on your sleeve, like an open book of Vapor-Know-how.

Big props on that my friend:D

Was wondering the same about wire-mesh screens. I guess this could work, but would probably be pretty sloppy.

^^Indeed... This method works great with my D-Nail and FullMelt Bubble Hash..

I grab a couple of the Ti tight weave mesh screens, place some Hash(lose or pressed into a disk) use Forceps to place and move the screen around atop the nail.

You're going to want something that will hold your concentrates once they melt to goo (and they all probably will with nano). Might be better off with cotton or degummed hemp fiber. I've had some success using stainless steel wool that I pulled from special high tech kitchen scrubbies.

***^^^*** This... Cotton and HQ Stainless Steel works amazing in the Vape.

Yes! Am sure they will send another stem once you get ahold of them.

AND... Oh shit!!!! Can't believe I forgot.... Welcome to FC and the nano nation!!!! Damn vaping makes me stupid sometimes, ya know?

Another fantastic post man!

So much knowledge and sharing here.

I found that on one of my GonG adaptors there was a small bump on the GonG joint. 10 min with some fine sandpaper did smooth it out, as well as roughened up the surface just a bit. But I really like the idea of the Teflon tape. Don't need sticky GonG joints to go with my aching joints...

Yeah, I wonder if it's something I could fix that way, but I'm still a little unsure if it's the GonG or not since there isn't a SUPER blatant bump or anything. It does actually stand on its own, but it doesn't seem ultra stable, plus everything the D020 came with all fits in it like a glove.

I'm thinking I might contact EpicVape about it after all, but only after they're done with their MassDrop stuff.
