I'd like to see the new AC dual coil atty use the same design as the 1701 case but larger with the metal locking nut for solid wire connections. So far all 3 of my dual coil attys are having connection issues now and then. 2 of them are less than a week old.

edit: They will test out at .8 ohm and then a min later test out at 1.5 ohm. then no atty detected, then test out at .8 again with fiddling. I finally took one apart and applied power to it outside of the metal housing and one of the brass crimp connectors under the cup was glowing red.

Hmm could it be that the center pin in the base has been pushed out?

I am not exactly sure where the connection is being lost be it at the brass crimp on or the pressed insulator and pin?. I did add an edit above if you missed it. edit. i meant .8 , not .08 ohms
Sometimes I touch the coils and it works again indicating the it's the brass crimp and other times I touch the center pin and it works telling me its the insulator/pin.

I ordered 5 more on 7/10 from the oil site sale to try.

When all else fails, there's always delusion.

Conan O'Brien

fortunately enough we have proof of a temp control unit in a ecig platform. Not sure what else we can do to prove we came out with it first but delusion does help the unknowing believe what they want to believe.

We will stick to the facts that set the rules for reality.

But I bet you I can use the 8 for herbs and oils, so that would be proof that we actually had a device that did herbs and oils with temp control in a ecig platform that is the foundation of what's out there?

Would you concede that we at least pushed the envelop? Some how was responsible for ideas for other companies having?

I'm betting no, because you only think that others are capable of innovation yet we are just idiots here.

Good luck with that delusional thought.

On a side note fuck it

This was suppose to be the Iris v2 and what it had evolved into.

Been working on this for over 2 years now, and every time we make adjustment or add on a feature our plans and schematics are shared with other vape companies. So we go back to the drawing board and start all over again.

Good luck. That was your temperature control for titanium coils.

If you see a problem with someone's post, report it. Name calling will not be tolerated here. Warning point issued.
Goddamn it... this forum isnt for trolling or similar bullshit. Its about using the persei vap and its attachments. If youre too much of a dumbass to figure out how to use w9 gear, go to the gas station and buy an ego. I keep seeing notices hoping theyre tips or questions or ideas and im tired of the butthurt trollers. Gtfo if youre just here to shit. Thats what reddits for children.

Edit: after a negative point and TWO inbox messages from over zealous mods i want to clarify, i called no one in particular any names. I want information, not a flame war between money-parted fools/bitter competitors. Is that too much to ask? Can the mods setup a grievance thread for the people who feel disenfranchised to get their issues sorted out ao the rest of us can be productive with our personal choices in technology? Thank you.

Aw, man. Finally temp control for the Ti! That's my biggest issue with wire coil atomiers. Hope you can find a better, or at least more locked-down production method. Maybe 3d printed vape bodies? I guess an aluminum extruding unit and pcb printer are probably pretty costly, though.

Can someone help me with the most discrete Hercules sr74x configuration? I have used it mostly at home with the persei and core but would like to be portable. I have the Super stealth for the persei but never used it before.

Are you running 7.4v?

How do I clean the Kiss AC coils? The coils has been building up with gunk and I have to heat it up longer? Should I soak it in alcohol?

Yes, using 7.4. But am willing to get the 3.7v rod if easier.

Yeah, 7.4 you can only get down to the 18650 tube with 2x18350 or (preferably) 2x18500 on the sskit pieced together. I started with the 3.7 and was able to run sufficiently(kinda, it worked) with a single shotty 3.7 efest 18350. It doesnt last well more than 5 hits but an mxjo or aw 18350 'should' fair better. I personally love my dual 18500 setup in the full sskit. Lasts longer and hits harder than dual 18350s. With my single 18350 i have to be pretty patient, and only good for 5 solid draws.

ive read about the 18500's a few times but when you say they fit in the full ss kit do you mean both tubes attacked to eachother? i am very interested in it since i keep hearing they perform better and one of my newer AW's died on me so im down to one set of 350's and one set of 650's need to order more batteries soon
anyway id like to try the 500's

Yeah just the two pieces of ss kit... i use the yellow jacketed mxjo 18500s, but there may be others/betters out there. With the flat tops youll need a spacer between the batts to make a connection. I use copper tape, but your ingenuity may find better. For what its worth i installed a taller flashlight spring in my base to keep the connection solid... no blinking whenever i shift now.

It's clear you didn't take heed of the advice you got with your warning: read the rules. One of them is:
  • Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.

This rules exists for exactly the reason you brought up—to avoid flame wars. Please find some time during your short vacation to read the rules again and absorb them this time.

Has anyone tried the sr-74x (0.8 ohm back rod) with a temperature control mod? I am thinking this could be an awesome combo. To be honest, I am at the point where it is temp control or nothing for me and would love to see all carts subohm.

Yes, you can soak the AC coils in 99% ISO. I like to use a ziploc bag to minimize the amount of ISO I need to use, and do multiple rinses. I immerse the sealed bag in hot water so the ISO will heat up and break down residue faster.

I advise against this. Don't cram 2x 18350 into a single 18650 tube. This over compresses the bottom spring, and in the event of a battery failure, there will not be enough room for the spring to compress and allow the battery to drop away from the contact post of the Persei top.

The only tube that you can use 2x any batteries in a Persei in, is the standard Persei tube with adjustable bottom spring, or SS kits stacked on top of that tube so that you can still properly adjust the battery protrusion.

@DieHard I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the prototype Hercules top chamber. I personally noticed a very significant difference in flavor, and feel like cool down draws aren't effective at preserving flavor with the prototype Hercules top; but let us know your honest opinion!
