It will run at 3.7 but for 7.4 on the Persei you would need the one made for 7.4 they have different resistances and the 3.7 would overload the Persei of you ran it at 7.4

I was getting alot of leaking out of the neg lead hole on the kiss cart 1701 and the AC kiss 1701. I tried cool down draws, tighting the neg lead lock ring. Harder to notice it on the AC kiss becasue of the housing but on the Kiss Cart can see it forming after each use. @masaki Did yours look like this?

Is there a compelling reason to get a Bender? Love the hell out of the Herc but it sounds like the Bender has a steeper learning curve than a typical herb vape. Is there something about it that would make it a worthy competitor to a Vapman and a Crafty (and...someday [maybe]...a Grasshopper)? (particularly if usage and odor stealth are important)

Nothing stealth about the Bender its more Flavor.
It's like a Bentley or a R/R.
Don't own one but I've used one...:mmmm:
And I want one, someday...
Better with a core and a hammer top. Imo

Edit: Definitely a big learning curve..
Every device has its purpose.

Which mah 18650 battery should I use with 1701 3.7v kiss ac?
mAh = milliAmpere-hours which is simply a measure of charge capacity and only tells how long the battery will last before it needs a recharge.

What's more important is using high ampere discharge batteries that can handle the load of the Alpha Centauri. For this we recommend AW brand batteries, they're all we sell to fit the Persei and 8; http://www.w9tech.com/aw-imr-18650-2000mah-persei/

It's not as easy to use, but can be more rewarding. The Bender isn't a good fit if you need a pocketable herb vape to take a few puffs off. It's great for a long session to enjoy some really tasty treats. It has about a 3 inch air path from the herb to your tongue and the only materials in the air path are glass and ceramic so its a constant stream of terpenes to your taste buds... once you've learned to use it correctly the flavor is unparalleled.

I find that the V4 Persei top makes the Bender a lot easier to handle then when I was using it on the plain Hammer top. Use Hammer mode to warm up the rod, use short 'sharp' puffs, once you start getting vapor; deactivate Hammer mode and switch to normal use. Just hold the button a few seconds before starting a draw and continue drawing, after a bit start feathering the button. Eventually your mouth will recognize the vapor 'feel' and heat and you'll begin to develop the Bender technique. When taking long hits you'll need to learn how to let off the button and feather it to maintain an optimal vaporization temperature. When you forget to modulate the button, the heat of the rod can run away from you and char the herb, if you really keep holding it can combust.

I wanted to add my inexperienced Bender opinion -- If you're actively trying not to burn it, it is easy to keep it from burning (or from even giving you visible vapor). As with most touchy products, the problems mostly occur when you get too comfortable/cocky and aren't paying as much attention.

It's no competition for the grasshopper, they're designed with different concepts in mind. Bender is technically portable, but everyone is gonna know what you're doing.

My friend lost his Persei so I went to order one for him from your site. I see you're out of both black and silver. Are you going to have them available again soon? Are you switching to the V4 tops? What version tops are the colored Persei's you have in stock? He wants to order a new one ASAP and I don't know what to tell him. I checked Vape Warehouse and they are out as well. I'd appreciate whatever info you can share so I can tell my buddy what to do.

I can't pass up 40% off, I'm going to grab a bunch of backup stuffs. Those kiss ac dual coils are making me appreciate 7.4v for something other than the herc.

Arg, I went the bender so bad, but .5g per session is too much for me. Does anyone use the bender with less than .5 loaded? Maybe with a cermic disc? I guess it'd have to be more of a ceramic donut.

Also what do people use for runnier stuff? The resin from my other flower vape is kind of runny, I'm just using it in older wax pen carts for now.

Couldn't have said it better myself! @THC SCIENTIFIC and @SamuraiSam are excellent. I finally joined the Herc bandwagon. Own multiple Persei now, and the AC @ 7.4 made me really want to try the Herc. Hope the learning curve isn't too bad. I really wanted to jump on the 8, but I have given W9 a good chunk of my income this year once we discovered each other...just...couldn't...do it.

Well, the AC 1701 3.7v bit the dust today. Ordered a 7.4, amped to try it. And the 3rd gen kiss. And my replacement parts.
