Steve put out the Matrix Clear bubbler but it's too small. Its the same size as the Ion. The Clear is supposed to be 11.8" -12" the mouthpiece. That's just a different shape off the same thing he already has. He could've at least went with the Reti perc.

so Pinnacle water tool knockoff owners: I just received mine from SSS today (a 710 miracle! Took 5 days from order!). My question is, should the water not drain out of the top chamber fully? I had assumed that was the purpose of the slits was to provide a shield from the water, and let it drain back down. I have water about 1/2 way up those slits, and it doesn't drain down. The hell? Is be correct? I can't get a hit that's drink-free...

Same issue I had with 2 of those. Got a nectar collector knock off, much better function. The spillproof feature is nice as well.

I have an older generation PNWT knockoff with half as many slits in the top section (aka the splashguard)
The problem I think you're having is the water isn't draining into the main chamber. I have that issue with my PNWT - to fix this I tilt my PNWT sideways when adding water, and I only add a few mL of water at a time, letting it properly drain into the main chamber.
Be careful not to overfill your PNWT, water can dribble out the bottom and into the vaporizer if you're not careful!

Haven't got that one either but it looks pretty much the same, can't say anything about the seller though. Bubbler was good the one time I orderd with him.

now that, I actually expected. I'll see if tipping and going slow helps, but the slits look a bit elevated from the joint (just a few mm, but enough to allow a bit to pool, and increase the surface tension so it won't just leak back down). I'm calling it a top chamber, because shile it functions as a splash guard, it fills up, and then acts as a perc, but doesn't drain well.
Edit: No matter how slow I fill, there's always a drink waiting for me in there. Sigh.
@Herr_Dampf That mini nectar collector looks like an "aqua bubbler" globe attachment that they put a GonG join on at the bottom. Not a complaint, I love my aqua bubbler, and I had been thinking of trying one with the new indents (presumably to deflect some water, since the first gen the water splashes right up the side to the mp).

I had tried not to go much above them, due to previous bubbler attachment experience. It appears the issue is that without drag, I suck everything up. With enough drag introduced, I have an OK experience. I will spend some time with the unit today and decide whether it is garbage or not. Thanks for the tips, guise!
Now, that nectar collector @Herr_Dampf suggested looks nice, but do I want it or an FC-710...

I gotcha, yeah that happens with one of my two PNWT's - I usually just tilt it over and dump out the 2 or 3mL of excess water stuck in the top chamber before I use it
The PNWT is small and fun as a portable bubbler for road trips, but it's not my everyday bubbler so I don't care too much

That was an interesting concept, but I had hoped that Steven would offer some choices on mouthpieces. The only decent ones I have found so far cost 2/3s as much as the whole UFO piece. Best I have seen so far are from OGB.
If anyone has seen anything decent from China, please link...
