Sorry to hear about your defective piece. I always try to order one piece per vendor at a time so that I can restrain some kind of leverage - a future purchase! I'm waiting on my straight fab right now so I can order that new beaker.

Hi Guys - I just received my FC 1000 from Steven and at first sight it is absolutely flawless. It took only 8 days to arrive from China to London UK. The packing was excellent. Plenty of bubble-wrap and a strong cardboard box within another cardboard box.

Overall my experience with Steven has been excellent. Good communication before the sale. I will be buying from him again. Give credit where it is due.

IMO when new products are being designed and produced there are bound to be a few teething problems here and there. Especially with early versions of a product. The blowers will need to gain experience for difficult pieces, We are getting excellent products at very reasonable prices.

Steven also gains since he gets good design input and a wealth of expertise from those on this forum.

Win Win for everybody...

I need some advice. My FC-186 has some glass shards coming off the bottom and it slightly leaks but only if you touch it with a cloth. I had been working with Steven/Jane to get a discount on a new one but am debating whether I should get the GB-186 instead and use some Aquarium silicone to seal the FC-186.

Is there a comparison of FC-186 vs GB-186?

I am absolutely getting the FC-1000 but just need to make my order over $100 to use the $10 off coupon I recently got.

Another option is to get the FC-1000 and GB-194 and just seal the bottom of the FC-186 to give myself 3 options. I need to save some money because of family expenses but if things were normal I'd just get one of everything

What would you do?

Definately seal the bottom, I use Goop, which is another clear rubbery sealant, although it is toxic so you should let it cure til you can't smell the fumes anymore but once you can't smell it I really think it does its job and will hold up. I have a severely cracked in 3 pieces Beaker and it has held together for 2 years.

got my faberge bottle thing from kathy, not bad. joint could be taller to safely allow more water but works fine with a drop down. not bad for $20.

Should have dropped another 15 and got the CCG version which is nearly identical to the original. Initially they sent me a clear version which I believe was their larger prototype, but I ordered a white one so they sent me the proper one which is basically flawless. Eight holes on each half and they have great symmetry so I think they must have some kind of mold to help.

Got my CCG Torus today. Am personally satisfied as I wanted it as an oil rig as the torus was intended. Only real problem is the drain is not restricted so you don't really get to see it if you are solo, might be able to see it while your friend is hitting it. I think some people are confused about incyclers compared to recyclers, as an incycler can't really give you a good vortex since the perc bubbling will obscure the drain chamber of an incycler. I am willing to sacrifice a slow drain for half the price of Stevens. Actually hitting this piece is great, the perc seems to fire a lot more violently than most of the other rigs I have used lately (cmgen egg, fc710, fabegg baby bottle) so it hits you hard. Also seems to preserve a lot of flavor and is a bit harsher than those other rigs.

TAG drag less frits are insane. Their quality is pretty good in comparison to straight china dhgate stype pieces with usually thick glass. Their old name thickqualityglass.com sums them up pretty well

It has a little bit less room to move, but yes, the ball bounces

Received my replacement FC-1000, yeah! Function is on point but the quality is a bit off when comparing to some of his other pieces. Couple of poor welds and a few of the pillars look pinched. At least it was not broken
