***Gamers*** What are you playing?

Anyome play any Android or ios games like vainglory, hearthstone, or arcane legends?
I do. I tend toward the quicker, pick-up-and-play variety, though generally can't stand anything with in-app purchases. Things that feel like Facebook games but on your phone/tablet…

Two of my favorites are Pixel Dungeon (Play Store, Steam, itch.io) and Dawn of the Plow (Play Store. App Store, itch.io). Can't say how much time I've put into those two!

I did play a bit of hearthstone a while back, on PC. I haven't played since they added more cards and stuff. Might give it another try.

I'll never give sony another dime, but rocket league looks good. I might have to try steam now.

I'm with you there. I'm more of a single-player campaign guy myself, but when I do play online games (usually during major holidays when I have time and other friends off work also playing), they are almost always down for maintenance. $50 a year for that? But hey it is what it is.

Hey PC Gamers, don't forget FC does have a steam group if you're interested in gaming with your fellow vapists. I'm sure there are more of you that can join, at some point I might make some info in the description and start some discussions.

I've been playing Life is Strange, every thought about it is so pleasurable. It is such a great world to dive into and listen to the amazing background music. Highly recommend not going to mention much but story is going good as episode three truly a huge twist at that point. Unfortunately I don't think what you do will make the biggest difference for the end of the season but the entire process of playing and replaying the alternate paths is quite enjoyable.

Also been playing Garden Warfare over on Origin, such an addictive game cannot wait for the second.

And playing GTAV, have yet to finish the story or play online but I'm dedicated (even though I bought it on its PC launch), I will see it to the end.

Replaying Fallout 3 in FNV with Tale of Two Wastelands, November of 2015 will go down in history. Maybe it will be the month I get my Hoppers too.

Is Rocket League sweet? Thinking of grabbing it?

I'll join that group!

Thanks, I just joined - look for bakedpotato.

The only game I really play anymore is Total War. I just got into the franchise at the release of Rome II when I purchased Shogun 2 on sale. Its taken me a long time to get up to speed with the game however I think I'm starting to figure it out. I just won a military victory with Iceni (started in present day UK) and now I'm about halfway through a campaign as Armenia. I usually choose a faction with an isolated starting position but as Armenia I've been landlocked by other factions since the beginning. Armenia has been a lot more rewarding than Iceni thus far!

I, too, have not gotten very far in the campaign (having too much fun just driving around and wreaking havoc, especially fun since I grew up in LA so it all feels very familiar), but the one thing I find disappointing is that it seems combustion is the only option! Maybe something will change after I progress a little further? It would be cool if they let you upgrade and buy a vaporizer which would then deliver a cleaner and longer lasting high!

About rocket league. It seem like it runs on the mac but they pulled it because of controller issues, so for now it's only available on the pc side of steam. It will likely come back to the mac when they start selling their dedicated steam controller/xmit box ($50 ea) in a few months. I am making assumptions here and could be wrong about part or all of this, I am a steam nube and haven't read up on all this in their forums yet. If anybody that knows better wants to correct any of the above information I would welcome it.

So off to the dark side I go. It's a good time to fire up boot camp and go to to win7 for while anyways, because I just finally fixed my mac system up (had some issues). I'll wait for the free marvel heroes 2015 to finish downloading, steam's only using about 12% of my bandwidth(?!) so that means tomorrow.

I have a dilemma, maybe you guys can help me.

Got Street Fighter the other day, so decided to grab a fightingstick to use for it and for MAME/Emulators on my computer.

Grabbed this, a steal kind of from the research I did.

BUT, since it was so cheap, I think it is kind of dull looking. So the real question for me is, Yellow or Blue?

I'm also going to upgrade the stick to this, cause why not if I'm placing an order.

If anyone knows if I need a plate installed on the joystick, that would be great, kind of unfamiliar with it. I can't tell if I can lift the joystick out of the case and the plate stays in, or I need to remove the plate + joystick and add them both back.

Fightsticks!
Here's one I made: :D

I'm still pretty new to the whole fightstick scene, but I'm assuming by plate they're talking about the restrict or plate at the bottom of the joystick.

It isn't necessary, but could be useful depending on the game.

My one came with a square plate.

I have it oriented so the corners of the square are my diagonal directions.

This makes it easier to get an exact diagonal, but harder to get an exact vertical/horizontal.
My plate is a bit too restrictive, and when I orient it so that I get exact vertical/horizontal directions, I cannot input diagonals at all.

It would really come down to a preference/game engine thing, but I'd say you should be fine without a plate.

That's sick looking! Very cool stuff.

The item I'm talking about is a "mounting plate" ...not sure but I think you are talking about a "gate" the part at the very bottom that restricts movement? Mine is square too, but you could change to ocoto or circle if needed.

Not sure, as I'm new at this myself lol. Just based on your explanation, sounded like the "gate" If you look at the bottom of the picture of the joystick, that clear piece, is what I think you are talking about.

http://www.focusattack.com/sanwa-jlf-tp-8yt-joystick/

I'm referring more or less to that big metal plate.

In watching this video, I think I getting one with the plate is probably the better option for me.

There is tons of content in Borderlands 2 even without the expansions which I'm sure come with GOTY, you certainly will have lots of fun ahead of you!

I enjoyed the telekinesis chick the most I think? The amount of AOE spash damage she can put out is insane.

Regarding the fightstick, didn't end up grabbing a joystick as I couldn't find a concrete answer if I needed one with a mounting plate or the plate installed would be fine. Didn't even realize it was called a mounting plate until a few hours ago.

(Should add that I wasn't stressing the joystick, found sketch reviews regarding the buttons for my table so those were a priority moreso, pretty good reviews regarding the stock Quanba stick installed)

Went with a clear yellow ball top, a clear yellow dust protector/tube for the stick, Clear Blue for button isolated at the top, clear yellow for the rest.
