If I were to guess, I'd say ridiculously hot metal cooling off = cracked wire. That was the assumption I made for mine, since I felt like the Persei @ 7.4 was juicing it pretty hard. I also complicated things with a QWISO run at some point, which you haven't mentioned performing. My dual ran a few times after QWISO, then just failed to heat up some time later, after it had sat for a bit.
I had my second dual coil running at 6v in hopes it would last longer than 2 weeks. I didn't perform any cleaning yet either... I liked it when it worked lol

The kiss 3 dual coil on 3.7 has been great so far. No leaks, no creep up the walls and up into the mp like on the mini. It's powerful at 3.7 and the taste is great, especially that first melt in when there isn't much vapor. I've only tried a generous 1 dose blob and 2 dose blob so far, looking forward to trying a whole lot more. I have a feeling using it at 7.4 I'll be super tempted to keep doing just one more hit over and over like on the herc. I'm ordering a backup 2 coil and 2 single coils when they are up. Very happy so far.

Are the coils/ceramic wick for the single and doubles exactly the same on the gen 3 kiss and the kiss AC?

I understand the design is different, but are the coils the same?

Thanks

I wish there were was some sort of grip pattern along the base plate of the AC, to aid in removal of the top. The grip on the top seems to help, but on the bottom I end up just swiveling the air flow a bit before I realise its not opening and try to get a better purchase. I'd forgotten about this, until I smashed my globe. Now that I have to open it every time I load the skillet, I'm noticing just how helpful that modification would be.

@mesaki we cant verify how you use your coils and as we all know wire coils are not usually longer lastering, but what i can say is wait a few days, the News we received today while using our (iphone) tells us customers are gonna be happy come end of this week.

@Nube Scrutator you as well.

In fact all of the people here should be happy. Just not the fan boys and girls.

Wait for some good news for you the customer.

That is all.

I had a new dual ac coil die on me yesterday. I popped out the white insulator and pulled the coil and ceramic cup out to straighten kink out of center post wire. Slipped it back together trapping the center wire with metal post and she works fine again.

Received my core and an extra Persei today.

The Persei is marked 2340 so I guess it is an old one?
My current Persei is marked V3-028.

I also have 2 ACs. One is 510 and the other a 601. My wife has been using the 510 version with an eVic Supreme but now she can use the 601 version on a Persei at 7.4V with the double coil and possibly the doughnut. When I tried the AC on my original (V3-028) I could not get it to work consistently. Problem lies with the positive contact from the atomiser to the AC to the Persei. On my new Persei (2340) it works fine. It looks like the positive pin on the Persei pushes hard enough against the positive pin on the AC to ensure a good contact right through to the atomiser.

Anyway he solution was simple. The AC on the new Persei and my SR74x on the old one.

I really love the core. Anyone who is on the fence, get off if you can afford it. Now I can get the same size "toke" every time. I really love the combination Core, Persei and SR74x. Took a little getting used to but it is awesome.

Now to see how my wife gets on with the dual coil AC and the Persei on 7.4V.

OK, so my first real issues.

It looks like the spring in the battery tube of the Persei has collapsed. The batteries used to stick out the correct amount but suddenly they do not stick out any more.

The same happened on my new unit (!) and even worse after I made an adjustment so the batteries stick out again smoke started to come out of the top. Now I will have send it back.

Any one else experience the spring collapsing?

OK, so I found the collapsing spring stuff. Seems that the short in my "new" Persei caused my springs to collapse. Well at least I still have the core!

Look on bottom pull pin out of center, should be a wire against side of insulator that will be + wire remove insulator should be a wire on other side - wire try to see problem straight wire ect. Like a kiss cart

Edit: have not been in my kiss ac just assuming same as kiss.

Melting Pot has the idea right. You will need to press down on the coils when feeding the rubber insulator in. Be sure to get one wire on the outside and one wire on the inside of the rubber insulator. Then pushing in the pin to trap the center wire can take some fussing with so you don't just push the wire down but trap it to the side. Just be sure to check your ohms with a meter before using it though. Good luck

I broke my glass globe for the Kiss AC, I feel asleep with it by my waist and when I when I raised my bed it went under my bum and I couldn't move off of it since my medical condition, but at the time I thought it was something else, so i just moved around enough to get it and just before I could I heard a crack.

Long story short, anyone know if any of the glass globes they sell on w9tech fit the Kiss AC? If not I guess I'll just wait until that snazzy Nibbler AC hopefully comes out.

Is there a minimum version of the Persie that I should have in order to be able to run the AC at 7.4 Volts? I am using the Dual coil which has a resistance arround 1 ohm.
I hope I didn't get a Persei that is too old (2340 stamped on it).

You are welcome that you are able to use technology that we developed for your needs. It makes us extremely happy knowing that even if it's not directly purchased through us it is some way based on our designs that we spent so much in developing.
