I just placed my order and before i contact planetvape sounding stupid i want to ask you guys about how much they charged me. It was 664 in canadian dollars, and it says 542 us dollars was taken out of my account. But when i do the conversion on google it says the 664 candian dollars is equal to 525 us dollars.

.. what happened? ..

Its decided then. Im placing an order for the Sub

If i get a crave for the full flavor ill bust out the Evo and do some lo temp rips

But I really just want the super potent hits.. Fast extraction/less resistance is a big bonus too

Thanks helpin me pull the trigger. I'm itchin to get these hands on it :freak:

The sub is more than capable of doing the low temp as well as the high temps

Nobody gives a conversion at the current exchange rate. There is always a percentage fee for the service.

Gotta watch for them hidden fees..
I mean its only a $17 difference tho

i won't give a fuck about that if this lives up to it's hype haha

I was also surprised to read that someone is using 12 for flowers. Understandable for those that live in really cold areas. Down in South Florida the performance is exactly as advertised - Red lights (9-12) will ignite flowers. I'm actually able to run 9 if the AC is blowing in winter, but it's summer now and 9 started igniting again lol

I don't care how cold it is, 12 is either combusting or your sub is broken.
like if you need 12 for flowers what happens when you try to dab?

Semi-related thought. For anyone having issues having to crank the voltage up for proper extraction, it might help to invest in one of those little $10 electric tobacco grinders. It produces a grind that's so fine it makes extraction a lot easier on the heater. At level 8-8.5 it roasts resembling black coffee grinds, which I can only assume is as close to 100% vape extraction as is possible. Was never able to get that result with traditionally ground herbs.

@MGG Dabs are pretty ordinary. Torch and nail, old school.

So I pulled out the fluke for the facts.

Constant 36.8v through the temp range. ? They must be controlling the current to vary the temps rather than voltage regulation.

Heater 27.8 ohms.

I cant get a reliable temp with the infra red on the shiny surfaces.

canj00digit?

All my days in a daze...
Have crept all the way up to 8 for flowers now and that puts the ABV at VERY dark with one large hit and one 'clean up' hit.

The timer has only really annoyed me a few times. The egg timer reminds me well enough.

Anyone have a review on the SubTainer grinder? Wondering if i could replace my Santa Cruz with it

It makes a great container.
In no way could in replace your SCS.
Both my SCS and cheap Storz&Bickel grinder are far superior.
But, that's just like my opinion, man. :)

My new 'subbuddy' from OGB arrived today so I melted the sublimate out from the dropdown I was using. My first bit of sublimate, damn it's nice stuff especially when double decking:

Here is a pic of my new OGB dropdown/subbuddy:

I was glad that I asked OGB to make me a knockoff SubBuddy. I was sick of waiting for one to be back in stock and it really did turn out pretty flawless. I just wish I could get a functioning controller again. I'm on my 3rd time sending it back and the waiting for shipping back and forth is killing me.

Thats got to be a pain physically and finacially.. Same happened with my Cloud Evo tho so its the luck of the draw to be honest. Hopefully you'll finally get a working unit this time around...

My Sublimator arrived today 2 days after purchase
i just don't have any glass to use it with right now..:bang: but an adapter for my dab rig should arrive soon to help hold me over until i figure out what piece i wanna buy dedicated to the Sub

@brucee10 I preferred the looks of the Sub buddy so i ended up going went with it as it was only like $5 more than OGBs. But what I'm getting to is where were you looking for one? I got mine on PlanetVape

My fault for the back to back post but i just now realized i was sent the titanium version when i had purchased the stainless steel. I wanted the stainless steel as i intended to use it with flowers mainly and i had read that would be the better choice for my situation. Should i get this fixed or should i just let it be? The titanium is $50 more but i read its meant more for concentrates

I have a feeling my replacement one is not working as it should,as on setting 5 i get dark leftovers...What was wrong with yours again or was it 3 different faults?

Yep, here's some Level 8 Roastage from the 4th of July festivities. If your AVB is like this or darker on lower levels, probably have an output issue.

Listening to these user reports i'm starting to get the feeling sublimators are heaps inconsistent across the board, with some people saying they need 5 for flower, some people saying 6, 7 and 8 and even 12 :/

Don't read to much into me hitting at full tilt as I had similar issues with the LSV.

@Sublimator427 that bowl shot needs a few more hits, I think I can still see green.:brow:

There is inconsistencies as my friend has a brand new one. When we run them side by side his setting 5 is a wispy cloud and the abv is slightly darker,My setting 5 i get darker abv than him and a proper thick foggy cloud. We also have identical glass set ups so that is not the issue.

Oh trust me it's toast, the light is just shining directly on it. I'll have to get a better pic later tonight. And that's actually about 5 or 6 bowl shots in the pile, I pack my bowls like wine swigs instead of beer chugs :p

As for inconsistency, it seems to be the controllers and their power outputs. The Sublimator itself is just a big empty vessel. Maybe the new digital ones will solve the issue. In any case I guess I still just have to consider myself very lucky I got a good controller, I still have not had a single issue with it since original purchase late last year.

A few beginner questions:

1) Are you supposed to leave the apollo on the atomizer to let it "preheat"?
2) Are herbs suppose to heat soak some after being loaded in the atomizer?
3) I received good clouds at setting 7. Setting 9 was bong like vapor rips i was looking for. Is my power outage performing okay?

Answers to 1) thats how i do it but don't let them cool together as they will fuse due to atomiser cooling before the head.
2) mine did but its been acknowledged it may be faulty mine did it at setting 4 though.
3) No idea if you contact Sublimator direct they may have some advice.

1) yes (just dont leave it on when there's flowers still in the bowl, always cash after each hit otherwise
it will burn and effect flavor)
2) some say maybe 5 seconds, I'd say no not at all, great thing about the sub is you can load and hit it right away,
unless your material is particularly a bit wet/improperly cured, then i wouldn't suggest heat soaking your herbs.
3) seems fine to me, I usually don't do flowers on 9 because I think it's too hot, but I do double deckers (oil and flower on 9-10, usually I find juuuuussst under 8 to be the sweet spot for straight flowers for me :).

Hope this helped.

Perfect. Preciate that.

Review will be posted after my final thoughts. Initial thoughts are A+

Anyway of preventing that abv dust getting into the sublimate jar?
