my globe is a lot easier to hook up to water pieces than the new size of the KISS AC. Maybe we could finally see a simple adapter, so we can put the AC through any GonG based filtration we already own?

they could make a gong mp that screws onto the alpha top just like the normal metal mp. that'd be amazing!

Yeah, but you can't see the magic happening behind the shielding!
I see plenty happening through the attached glass/water rig that uses the 14mm joint? One button push and the smoke appears, then disappears and appears again with every half second like magic!

Temp control with the AC is the hands down best yet!

I believe I have the 74x bottom insulator. Is that the same piece? I'm not a huge fan of the 74x, so I'll happily cannibalize it, if I must. Plus, I have a 74 bottom insulator, though the pin on that seems like it may be faulty. Can I replace just the pin on that, or do I need the whole bottom insulator for that model as well?

Can't wait to hear a report on a 7.4v donut. @SamuraiSam Have you not tried one yet?
The 74x bottom insulator is the same as the 71 bottom insulator, so if you have of one those parts you could sure swap it out! Its contact points would look like flathead screws, this one can be adjusted to change its length. (Start fully screwed together, and only adjust outwards in 1/4 turn increments if it fails to make contact).

The -74 spring loaded bottom insulator isn't user-serviceable, and if it fails, I'd suggest upgrading to the -74x insulator for the same price as a replacement -74 part; $10. The mechanically adjustable bottom insulator holds up over the years and can be rebuilt by you with the same PTFE inserts that go inside the Herc's threaded assembly if it does wear out.

Hope those AC replacement globes are underway. Sent the included one to a watery grave while loading my coil today (the age old battle of sink vs glass). With the loss of my dual coil and globe, my AC will probably take a back seat for a while.

The 7.4v AC 1701 is great. I'm loving the ability to get faster cloudier hits from the donut form factor. And the flavor is right on. I really like the feeling that it has "more power than I can use".
Meanwhile, my 71 crapped out on the way to work the other day. I got a warm up and one really good hit and then nothing...I haven't had the patience to troubleshoot it yet.

New hercules product!??!? What is this about @THC SCIENTIFIC

I finally have a kiss AC in my possession. Damn this thing is awesome. I am officially back into coil wire type carts now. ONLY KISS AC DUAL 7.4! My only regret is not getting one sooner.

I had same problem w/ both my 74 and then 71 the past few days.

Loving the KISS AC 1701 3.7v w/ wick @ 4.8v. @THC SCIENTIFIC thanks for the hot tip on the ranges. What is the range for the 7.4v donut w/ wick (and without)?
I am also using the KISS AC 1701. The first one I got did not come with a doughnut but I recently ordered another one and this time I have the doughnut.
When I put the doughnut in it come to the top of the cup leaving a nice hole in the middle to channel all the molten oil directly through the air hole.

How do you load the 1701?
Does you disk (the heating element) sit flush with the air hole or does it sit deeper?

The top of wick disc disc sits about 1mm above the air hole. The load should be placed on the wick, avoiding loading above the center hole. You can even place the load on the ceramic disc then put the wick on top. It is still LAYG, but you can load a bit more than a OG KisS.

Edit: getting "Bent" on this Glorious July 4th! What better way than with US Made Glass!

Guys please understand the Hercules is not getting a revision, the prototype part for the Hercules will be a separate add on part.

The reason for this is once it works out and we perfect it, it will sacrifice taste a bit for cloud production. The way this happens is the cool down period is greatly reduced.

The taste is only reduced at the end of the bowl. The reason for this is cool down period is reduced and or eliminated.

We will not sacrifice the taste on the Hercules but will offer this to anyone who wants it as a add on.

Current tests out of 20 people 11 have said taste is reduced at the end of the bo while 9 said taste was the same.

So this would say to us the current Hercules is perfect. Until these numbers switch around there won't be any changes to the Hercules Cartridge.

@THC SCIENTIFIC Sounds great. An add-on that extends the life of my current unit(s) with upgrades/revisions is perfect. Minimizing cooldown sounds like I could finally share the Herc with my SO or other Herc noobs with fewer issues.

@DrRishi like using the wick on top of the dual coul, I smear some oil on both sides of the wick and poke out anything that gets stuck in the center hole. Set your core or Iris above 4.2 (this was splatter city, so I made the mistake of going lower the first few times I tried.. W/ the wick loaded, go HIGHER instead, I think Gary recc'd up to 5v). If you don't have a core or Iris, I recommend against using the wick, as cloud production/efficiency is better without it at lower voltage.
