How much run time do you think it had on it before it died? Like actual minutes or seconds it was on and heating before the lights flashed? I imagine having it less than a day means it has only been running and heating for a few minutes at most. The odds of you getting two units with two separate problems have to be staggering considering so few people actually have gotten one. That is bad news.

Sounding more and more like a discreet Beta program than the beginning of shipping.
Barely 2 bowls. Not sure of time but maybe an hour tops.

Also backers are backers. People who funded a projectshould be expecting the first run of units. That is why we also demanded a lofetime gaurauntee. Yea that only lasts as long as the company but i believe they can and will do it. I feel they are definately now scrambeling to find bugs. I am fine bwing a beta tester. As long as i eventually get the fimished deal. So far. When it has worked it has beaten all my vapes that i have tried and owned.

Obviously, your last point for breaking the be nice rule didn't get the message across. Warning point issued.
There are a lot of good posts from members here regarding both positive and negative aspects of the GH. Some of the current GH recipients who have posted their observations are obviously very patient and do well to persevere a disproportionate amount of pointless critiquing of their contributions. There are so many posts that express a level of extreme child like thinking and negativity that I actually find them offensive. Imo this is likely why so few early recipients have given feedback.

Most forums have positive and negative reputation buttons. I have never used a neg rep button on any forum. This is because forums for grown ups allow a poster to tell another poster to grow a pair and stop crying (or something similar) when they want to respond to what they believe to be unnecessarily negative nonsense posts. For the first time in over 15 years of using the Interwobble I have found myself looking for the neg rep button. Imagine my surprise when I found there wasn't one.

I really want to follow the GH release developments and more particularly the user feed back (which is generally of high quality), but doing so in this forum is akin to being forced to ride in a bus with unruly whinging children that seemingly can't resist the urge to needlessly contribute negative (and mostly entirely pointless) observations that rather obviously aren't borne out of any form of intellectual process and resemble little more than a gaseous expulsion from an anus.

In the real world (and internet forums that cater for grown ups) enthusiastic stupidity is actively discouraged by appropriate feedback from the wider community. Whereas, child care facilities and the like tend to rely almost exclusively on teachers/moderators to moderate the behavior of the socially incorrect children that they care for. This forum appears to fall into the later category.

I have no wish to attend a childcare facility and nor do I wish to ride in a short bus with my hands tied in order to do so. Therefore I conclude that it is time for me to leave FC and wait out my GH dispatch in the comparative splendor of solitude.

FWIW try to understand that being both a vaporizer fan and vapid are neither complimentary nor obligatory.

We don't have "negative reputation" buttons, we have one simple rule: Be Nice. That's because such buttons encourage animosity and arguing over other people's posting style and character—as your post amply illustrates. If someone breaks the rules, report it and move on. Do not respond. If no rule is broken, either ignore it or use the Conversation button. It's pretty simple really and it works well for FC. If you can't ignore the irritating posts here, then yes, leaving would be good for all concerned.

I have NO idea why the gh's are malfunctioning. I thought I had read somewhere that, the blinking red/blue was a over temp indicator? Does anyone else remember reading that. So some speculation to kill the time. If that is the case, hopefully it is something simple. Maybe the wires to the temprature sensor are not performing well under the rapid increase/decrease of heat/voltage inducing premature break down. Rapidly causing a open in the circut to trigger the temp overide? Ha. all speculation, not 1 oz. of evidence. Not a true statement, just speculation. :tinfoil::rofl:

It would be interesting to know which other vapes you tried and owned and in what aspects the GH beat each one of them in:

Flavor
Efficiency
Battery Life
Vapor Production
Coolness/Lack of Harshness in Vapor
Charge time
Etc etc.....

Well first there aren't many vapes i havent tried. Honestly i posted in here or the shipping thread about the ones i own or have used. But ill tell you the ones i havent used.
Crafty mighty
Herbalizer
Sublimator
Firefly
Flowermates
Underdog

Flavor - so great. It is at least as good as the volcano i would say. I'm not sure if it lasts as long, but you get to use add way less.

Efficiency - I honestly dont think i have use a more efficient vape. I put in a sprinkle and get several puffs. Or a few dense fat rips it lets you do whichever you prefer.

People- honestly with groups i usually have to have a water pipe. I could pass it around among 3 or 4 friends and take some rips while we are on the road and be fine. If you use it heavy with alot of people it gets rather hot. But honestly its been working a sprinkle will let 5 people all get a fairly large rip with water or we can all take our time in a full bowl at a lower temp if there isn't any water.

Battery Life - I have not been out with it and not had enough juice. I do have sparea now but I rarely need them. Plus since it is a usb charger you can charge it virtually anywhere and with a power bank you literally could charge it anywhere. The batteries take an hour and 5 minutes to charge.

Vapor Production - You can get either thin vapor or thick vapor whenever you want. It is up to you and the temp you choose. I know it produces more vapor than my air at 337 than the air at 375.

Coolness/Lack of Harshness in Vapor - honestly i think my air is harsher at upper temps. I am now able to handle up to temp 4 with no water. Temp for is 374 i believe and it kicks but i usually use that as a finishing temp.

Charge time - 1 hour 5 minutes

I've personally tried 3 Grasshoppers and all of them have worked flawlessly, knock on wood. I have a feeling of that flashing light problem doesn't develop in the first few days, then that may mean you won't have a problem down the road as the sensor is likely installed properly and functioning the way it should. At least that's what I hope.

The GH doesn't have any wires, that's part of The beauty of The GH. The actual metal tube/body of the GH serves as a "wire" that connects the heater end to the temp dial/on/off button assembly end.

Saying that it tastes as good as a 'Cano isn't saying much imho being that I never liked the stale taste that I got from bags. Have you used a MiniVap or an LSV or an EVO and if so, do you believe the GH tastes better than those?

In regards to efficiency, do you believe that it is as efficient as some the log vapes on the market? I was able to get 5 hits from .025gr from my Purple Days.

And in regards to harshness, it's been reported here that the GH is pretty harsh which is totally understandable considering how close your mouth is to the heating element. Probably also an issue in regards to draw restriction.

When you state that it has beaten all of the vapes that you have tried and or owned while claiming that there aren't many vapes that you haven't tried, I just felt that there may be a need for some perspective here.

My intent is not to shed any negative light on the GH but rather put it into context with other very well respected vaporizers on the market.

It isn't a problem really I have trouble knowing what to compare too depending on people so when I know more about what people have tried I can usually give better info.

It tastes as good as the lsv for sure. The flavor is truely amazing. It is one of the main pros for this unit.

Also i havent tried a log vape i want to. I can say I have never used less herb. I seriously sprinkle in a tiny amount. So little. It won't register on the scale even. It is tiny i posted an instagram link in here showing how little i have used.

The harshness is there. I would say that is not only subjective but something people will get used too. With water it is not harsh at all. Also i think the reason it is so tasty is the same reason it is sometimes a bit harsh. The short vapor path. I think the harshness compares to the air.

Honestly this thing has the power of a desktop in your hand. It lets me get a fat rip and then put it down and rest.

Correct! A frozen desert treat popularly enjoyed the world over on a planet far far away called Earth;-)

On a more on-topic note: Looking forward to more insightful GH reviews!
Just finished a rough version of my review. I will 've adding more tests and results, more photos, add/remove stuff so it's a work in progress. I'm no writer and I'm sure my grammar could use some help so sorry for that. I may have overdone it a bit but I thought it was all information that I would want to know, the more the better I say. Please let me know if I missed anything. Hope you find it useful......Here it is: radvapereviews.wordpress.com

Thank you, I found a few more myself. I will try to fix them by tomorrow and I will be adding more info on battery life, vapor quality, abv tests etc. Thanks for checking it out

I just had an idea for anyone that might be worried about accidentally turning the unit on in your pocket. Maybe it's a dumb idea but let me know what you think.

Basically, turn on the GrassHopper, let it auto shut off, done. Now you would have to accidentally click the on/off button twice to turn it on again. Really simple idea if anyone is still concerned about that.

I feel like people are very worried about the Grasshopper potentially turning on in their pocket. Can someone explain to me why? The button supposedly requires a good amount of vertical force to be used, so I don't see how it would accidentally turn on (unless you leaned over very far and poked it with your belly). And even if it does click on, still nothing to worry about - it'll turn off in 18 seconds without the herb having been cooked anyway.

Sure thing. The reason some people worry about that is because they worry about everything. Lots of minutiae.

I am curious as to how it taste compared to a Ascent, just got that in a trade and it surely has the best taste besides my loved VaporBrothers...its a pretty cool vapor also, even nearing 400 degrees.

For sure will be the first one I compare the GH to....

The report I recall (subject to mental limitations) was that a coin or piece of metal stored in a pocket with the GH could or did cause a short that would turn the unit on. IIRC the heater would still remain off, just the lights would come on? But with two threads and many posts it's well possible I'm confusing vapes.
