Minimizing Concentrate Flavor

I'm still fairly new to concentrates, and after consistently getting crumble for a while, I recently bought some harder wax that has a flavor I really don't like. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it's just a matter of taste. I don't like licorice either :) This flavor actually reminds me a bit of licorice, or a particularly strong flavor in a root beer or something.

Anyway, is there any way to minimize the flavor other than turning my e-nail up hotter? I'd prefer not to do that so as not to exacerbate a bronchial issue. As soon as I close my mouth after exhaling a rip, I taste it very strongly. I've tried drinking some water or soda just after a rip and both just seemed to intensify the flavor.

Why not lay it over a bed of herbs in a different vaporizer. You could mask the flavor with another tastier strain. Or make yourself some delicious edibles

Put it into your convection oven at decarb temp (120c for 30mins-1 hour if you wanna be certain), this will make the product sappier but it will also cook the flavor out without requiring stupid hot dabs :)
Thanks, I'll give this a try!

Edit: on re-read I noticed you said convection oven. I have a conventional oven; would the process be any different?

Hmmm might wanna get your oil in as flat a patty as possible (preferably a thin film) to ensure even decarb, but still should work well :)

OK, will do. I'll probably need to melt it a bit, take it out and flatten some, and then finish the heating. Thanks

First attempt just completed. I left it in the oven for 40 minutes. Flavor is reduced but not eliminated. I may do another test leaving some in for an hour.
