This post is dedicated to Mom and your addiction to Zap Porn. I know I'll lose sleep over the enabling of your addiction but I'm just so darned excited to share a pic of the new addition. Maybe later the fuck combustion family and I can come together for an intervention. JK

In person, the waves shimmer under light giving the piece a holographic flame appearance. The piece is absolutely stunning in its trippiness.

P.S. What started out as a money saving purchase I now realize has the opposite effect. I literally cannot put this beauty down. Thanks RICK!!!!!!!!

 Slicksixx, that is one sweet Zap. I can imagine the grain is spectacular. Thank you for feeding my need. :brow:

Thanks everybody....I agree....she sher is purty :p

NYC Diesel,
I ordered on the 7th and received it last Friday the 15th. I would have posted a pic more quickly if i weren't enjoying the object so immensely. There's no way in hell I was about to put the zap down and pick up a camera. That would have been sacrilege.

That thing is a walnut Zap. Our terms can be confusing at times because I put the words down and rarely get back into the site to correct changes. My bad for sure.
MyrtleZap is only Myrtle wood.
So, Nyc, do you like the curly look of SlickSixx's walnut Zap? That grain pattern is hard to find, as is the marble.
More orders out today if I get everything together and decide to take a ride to the post office late in the day. You probably know who you are as we are keeping very close to shipping ONE WEEK from order date. Some customers have offered 'to wait' for special grains of this or that but that does not need to happen. It was a good day in the shop yesterday. A good start to a good week.
Only thing is, we are still very close to winter here and have not yet had one really nice warm day all year. Makes it tough for outside people to keep(our) sanititity......................Actually we are very thankful it is just a cold wet late spring. So many folks are getting hurt bad with weather and other Mother things these days.

That's a beautifully flamed walnut piece. I want a telecaster made out of walnut with that ribbon flame!

I wish I could send you a warm Spring day from TN. We're already mowing lawns here. Good riddance to winter and the arthritis pain it brings!

Rick a couple of weeks a go a thin brass wire fell out of my zap while I had it in my bong. It was about 2 inches long and probably 16-18 gauge. Is this anything to worry about?

I DO really enjoy the grain on that Zap, but I can already tell its one of the less common 'sensational' grain type. I would be a proud mama to own something like that!

That is actually stainless steel and is used as a shim to keep the heat port liner tight. I would imagine yours rattles pretty good for the shim to come out of there. It will not affect the function in any way.

Update on shipping. Orders done today will not ship til tomorrow, Wednesday, a day late from our week expected ship for a couple customers. We spent an extraordinary amount of time trying to figure out where to put the front on a couple in this batch. Finally bit the bullet and drilled the deciding hole. They are now on the test bench burning in with the rest for an expected Friday delivery. We will notify on shipping tomorrow.

Had an opportunity to use Rick's transformer plug kit today. I had been finding my one of my Zaps cold occasionally, then would move it a little and it would warm up again. Rick reminded me, when I emailed him about a new adapter, that I had one of the kits. :ko:

It's a real easy fix and the thing I found most interesting is that it seems to run a little hotter now. Must not have been getting all the juice it could with a strand or two broken. Felt good to be able to fix it myself. :)

Thank you beach bum, and right back at you and the rest of the Zap family! :D

Got my Zaps lined up and a few people coming over for a little "tea party."

Yup, happy special day to all.
After some orders out, we are going to make today even funner than normal. Not sure how yet but I do know it has to start with an attitude and we got it. Kinda like the winter storm is mostly over and it is time to do a spring play day with lots of fun.
Wow, where would we ALL be without our 420 friend?
Kinda like dogs. Where would we be without dogs?
Thank you Master Flow.

I got my tracking number for my Zap and my new LB stem in today. Happy 4/20 to you!

EDIT:

Just received it. I'm stunned. Beautiful work Rick. I Love where you put the front, so the flaming is down both sides and that white (sap?) wood curls around the light. The flames don't show up well in this, but are like the walnut above.

I'm so glad I did business with you!

Initial Zap smell? Is there a faint wood smell or is it the lavender or lemon Zapolish you don't like NYC?

That's a real nice walnut Zap you got there kewpcer! Looks like you had a good bonding session with your Zapolish before you took that shot. It sure shined up purdy! Hope the lack of a vapor report was due to too much practice! :p

Smoke report

Once I learned that this vape requires a stronger pull than anything else I own, I was off to the races. I seem to do best with a milkshake-level of suction. The temps are nice as it gives me what I'd consider a stereotypical "vaped" effect. Laughing, motivated and social. I really got the giggles for a few hours last night. I can see why some like the light ABV now, as there's no "drag" to the high. It seems like it's already breaking in a bit though. The ABV today looks like the greenish hue is almost gone for a light tan, and I seem to get about one more hit per stem now. This could be improvement in technique though.

As for my disappearance...

I had a few stems and polished it up for some porn. Then yesterday afternoon was filled with making more planting beds. Today's chore is to fill em with the rest of the potted heirlooms on my back porch. I might go buy some peppers. Red bells are so tasty and always out of the price range of a graduate student such as myself. And shit, I should really put out some garlic.

Anywho.. then I took care of my oyster mushroom, which took care of my supper last night with the first pound or so from her second flush. Salt, olive oil, and a tsp of cider vinegar over rice. Mmm mmm

Okay enough about the garden.

I honestly cant tell if its the wood, the polish, or the brass. heres the thing, the main smell problem is coming from right where the heatport opening is. I covered that area and sealed it off with my palm and sniffed around it, the wood on its own doesnt smell too much of anything. its something in/near the heatport.
does anyone else notice this? it does seem to smell kind of like that polish too, but smells different then the wood itself.

maybe someone can help me? this is really turning me off from my Zap :(

If I had to venture a guess, deisel, I'd think it was either the heat being applied to the internal "virgin" wood or that some of the Zap polish found it's way to the heat exchanger during manufacture. Either way, I would think it would dissipate after a bit if ya leave the unit on 24/7 for awhile.
