dont do it yet!

I meant as in "I finally tried it" kind of way, not that I was done with it forever but I think I am done with the evic stock atomizer unless they all leak like that? Maybe i should try it with less ej next time. ;)

ha i see. well all tanks used to leak, but i think they have come a long way since i was looking into them. my kanger aerotank mini has been working really well for me, but i dont use it that often. i am sort of eyeing up a UD Gobin Mini. its a small 3ml tank.

hey guys never posted here before. Came here after searching all over for people who have used thick oil with any sort of ecig setup. I wanted to report here after achieving a blissful result.

Again, I am using a very thick oil, extremely viscous.

I have an RDA however I was looking for a more sturdy setup with less worry of leakage. Boy am I glad I tried this experiment, I probably wont make sense as it is hard to type lol.

It occurred to me that the coils for the Arctic sub ohm tank are very wide and have great space. I am using the .5 ohm dual coil for the Arctic and a nice apple pie and a hint of graham cracker e liquid.

All i did was oil up the inside of the coil generously. The well is perfect because the bottom is perfect to collect any liquefied oil to burn on the next pull.

Keep in mind this is a very intense and quick rip, you will burn that oil fast. You will also be taking in all that vapor from the eliquid so keep that in mind as I myself like to hold my dabs, as I believe most do, and this will be a big inhale to keep. Not unpleasant IMO but definitely heavy, others may feel differently you could always try their less powerful coils or lower wattages.

Aside from that I have to say that the flavor from this, in big credit to this tank IMO, is OUTSTANDING. All of that vapor from your favorite eliquid just explodes as you take that inhale and it is just TASTY!!!!!1111!!!1111111111!!

For those interested I am using the iPv4 at around 70 watts.

Guys if you have the means I definitely recommend this setup for an amazing, intense, FLAVORFUL draw that will knock you on your face.

I am crashing guys, hope this helps, time for some food and sleep... 0_0

welcome to FC. so you are vaping errl or ejuice in this tank?

welcome to FC. so you are vaping errl or ejuice in this tank?

ejuice in the tank like normal. the coil I used for this experiment already had about a tank worth of use so the coils were already soaked and the cotton taste already gone. When I tried the experiment my tank had just emptied so I just stuck my thick oil in the center of the dual coils ( on the coils themselves) and filled the tank with my favorite juice. (I was mixing apple pie and graham cracker and they are both a 50/50 pg/vg blend) Not that I really think the ejuice matters since you apply the oil on the opposite side of the coils from the cotton so when you fire your mod the coils are simultaneously in direct contact with the oil and the juicy wick. After that I just connect the coils to the tank snap it on the mod and I get ready to blast off.

Just got home from work and gave it another try before I hopped on my computer. My personal experience is on par with yesterday. It smacks you in the face and has great flavor. I am truly blasted with .1-.2 of this thick oil and I will tell you guys with no BS that I am a very heavy THC consumer. I am absolutely a daily consumer, at least every night after all my work gets done. That being said my tolerance is extremely high (1 blunt or 2 dabs is never enough, not even close to feeling something) but with this setup you just get so much of that oil at one time that I dont even know how to explain it, but right after I exhale its lights out. Worked out like a beast today, was super super sore and then after that came home to this and I am so relaxed and feeling good now; probably why I am writing you an essay lol...

Just remember that with the high wattage the Arctic coil requires your oil will burn FAST. If I had to make a hypothesis, I would say that at least 80% is vaped in the first pull (of course results will vary based on your draw time and wattage) and the rest will be slowly vaped over the next 3-4 pulls at which point any hint of oil is gone. Just be prepared to take a huge rip when you take that first pull... after that its smooth sailing!

Let me know if you guys have any other questions, enjoy!

IMHO, all carts leak, the degree is in large measure due to WHAT is leaking. E-liquids being VG and PG based, when they seep, it's barely noticeable. The stuff innocuously blends into your skin and clothing. And it's a breeze to rinse off. Not so with erl. It's more like spilling a can of STP Oil Treatment, if you've ever had the pleasure. Sort of like the dog being sprayed by a skunk, it's not clear if it isn't better to just bury the whole problem in the back yard. Well, erl be like that. Even a little leak is obnoxious, and persistent. From fingers to keypad, to screen, and that linen suit you were going to wear flying into Kuala Lampur or Singapore? fah'get abat it!

Jean Cocteau once wrote something about keeping your O trunk well sealed, or the scent will wrap itself around the copper's nose. Well, Cann erl is a lot worse that way. That's what makes Pure Gold so preciousss.

3 uses now with this arctic dual coil and my tank has 0 oil leakage and no noticeable leakage of any kind. Will let you know after a few more uses.

nice post. i havent been liquidizing my errl lately. just been stealth dabbing instead, but i did just get a few Gs of some decent shatter thrown on my lap. so i plan on using at least 1g to make a fresh batch. i am going to be trying a new thicker mix this time i think. i may go with your ratio. i used to use a .5g errl to 1 part EJmix. of which was always good for me, but could always be more potent eh?

a little taller than i would like, but i love the price. and focal ecig is a great vendor. good prices and in the US. i may have to get one to try out. i wonder if its chip would fit into my cloupor mini.

so i have been really playing with some coils for my Evic. i have come to find i enjoy the flavor from nickel wire more so than the Ti wire. i have been trying new styles of coils as well. in fact i have not even tried a DBC on this device yet. i think i have found a coil design that is going to work very well. its a nickel build and basically you wrap a micro coil (about 1.5-2mm) as many wraps as you like. mine was about a half inch in length with the wraps touching. then i took a piece of middle size RXW and slid it onto the coil. so the micro coil is inside the RXW and holds it open kinda like a skeleton. then i took more nickel and wrapped on the outside of the RXW. then the leads are twisted together. essentially its a micro coil core, RXW sleeve, and a coil holding it all together. or a cage of nickel wire holding the RXW in a tube shape. is this making sense? lol

the idea was to heat the RXW from the inside and out. so far my experience with this coil has been very good. it also allows you to use a very little amount of RXW compared to a DBC. it wicks well, but obviously less than a DBC. less wick = less wicking. but it improves upon vaping the entire dab. with DBCs sometime you have to give it a little more power to vape the entire dab. i assume this is due to the wire being inside the RXW, but not touching the interior walls like a coil would do.

anyway, ive got more wire and wick coming. so more to come.

I tried this coil with ti wire and it is awesome. I have very little splash on the lid and none on the deck after 9 dabs. The taste is great too, better than a dbc to me plus way easier to build. THICK VAPOR!!!!!

I did a 13 wrap 1mm micro coil and slide that inside the rxw then warped the outside with 9 wraps and twisted the leads together. It came out to .17 ohms.

I don't know why my pics don't post but here's link to see the coil.

ok i see. so you are applying the errl directly to the coil AND filling the tank with juice...? interesting.

i have used protanks as a straight errl devices in the past. popping that little top stem off the coil head exposes the coil and you can vape errl directly off them. worked pretty well, but going the RDA route is just easier to me. rebuilding protank heads is a PITA.

my tolerance is quite dif from yours, but i work hard at keeping it there. regardless i still wanna try this mega blast. do you think the substantial rip comes from the dual coils? when i was using kanger coils the dual coils were not available yet.

As a matter of fact I also have 2 subtanks and the reasons I chose to use the arctic were:

1) Yes, the dual coil allows for much higher wattages. I use the .5 ohm which is rated 30w-80w and I think the 70w range is great but you can try others ofc.

2) The coil for these babies looked perfect, they are very spacious and the coil has cotton wrapped around it so the inner part of the coil is a completely empty cylinder, very very large. So i just lubricate those insides nicely and BAM. The coil has direct contact with the oil AND the wick simultaneously without letting too much oil get in that wick, which IMO is what makes this work so well.

I think a large issue with oil is that the viscosity is too high for the wicks so you get this buildup at the ends that ends up leaking. This is what I believe makes mixing the ejuice directly with oil problematic. However with this method, the oil is vaporized instantly separate from your ejuice and all that vapor collects and shoots up that chamber YUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM

I am no scientist here. Just a math major with a physics minor making assumptions without checking them.... results are the tits though, IMHO.

Well in any case, hope this helps!

Left: Tio2/ceramic coil (1.0 ohms). Right: Kanth/ceramic coil( 2.0 ohms). Both use for 1 month (no cleaning) at 3.4v-4.2v. I vape every 3-4hrs as need for pain all day every day. Look at the nasty shit!

Tio2/ceramic coil (.87 ohms) use 23 days on a temp control mod running at 560F(30w). The coil is so damn clean still!!!!! no carbon buildup and much better flavor and CLOUDS!!!

i have more wire on the way. i am noticing that the RXW is falling apart when applying dabs. i think more wraps on the outside will eliminate this. my current coil the wraps are pretty spaced out. i think a tighter wrap will keep the wick in place better.

cool to hear you are enjoying this build. when my wire comes i will post pics of my next one. i have an idea to make it bigger and fit better. i think.

oh btw... what temp are you running that Ti coil?

Wow, @ArchVape Vape that's some colorful jar technology to love!

Makes sense, temp control - ONE WAY OR ANOTHER- is the solution. With a high resistance coil or a TC rig, no burned oil, no smoldering ruins. So what's yer TC rig? It looks like a Joyetech. What we need now is lots of reviews of inexpensive TC mods that don't pop out of control, even if the connection isn't perfect.

I should be clear. I don't mean that all tanks leak. But the little 510 carts all seep. Maybe just a smear, just a hair here or there. But given enough hits, there's always some, and it's a sticky bitch. Maybe that's just my experience. With the bigger RDAs, RTAs and even the Kangertech minis, it's much more manageable.

Did y'all see that poor woman executive Toshiba fired after she was arrested when moving to Japan and had some oxys in her shipped belongings? As I understand it, anybody with ANY Rx has to use a special form, a copy of the RX, a letter from the Dr, and present that at the border along with the certificate that the form results in.

I wonder if they use some special gear to "sniff" parcels. Theoretically you could make gear that sniffs any substance.

check out this RDA. its small internally like the derringer, but it has a two post design that looks to allow a decent amount space for those crazy builds. thinking about trying one out.

my Evic has not once jumped out of temp control. i do however really want something with replaceable cells and something smaller. not reviews, but check these out.

Tesla Metal 60W TC

Mini VF w/out the LED at the top

Kangside TC500 - LOVING the size of this one, but not a fan of the chrome. i could refinish those tho.

Kamry 60W - liking the looks of this one as well

Simeiyue SMY 60 TC - a little more expensive, but has what looks like a nice touch screen!

Zero Mods TC 60W - i think there is a V2 of this somewhere without the key/battery change.

Been looking at temp control mod and talking to friends...

The DNA200 chip is out now - http://vapedojo.com/products/evolv-dna-200

A few Co will have mods out soon...

Mamu is going to be making some faceplates / boxes.... I really want to get this together soon..

10013970_1467439860215327_8398357834551214635_n.jpg

evolv is blowing it by only releasing this new chip in a 200w version. who the fuck needs to vape at 200w? its a joke really. 70w is more than enough for most. they need to release a 60-70 version or they will miss out.

its insane how fast this stuff changes.

Most people see the 200 and say, I don't need that. Maybe you don't. Or maybe you have no idea vaping can get better. I been vaping since 2008, and yeah it keeps changing. it's still getting better...If you read the reviews on the chip the way it accurately does temp control, has pre settings for various coils, and other things like pre heating and room temp monitoring,,, well it interesting. Seems like it will be an awesome vapor even if you never go above 50w

I am trying to read through this thread but literally feel like an idiot...

I have a question hopefully someone can answer or point me in the right direction to the answer.

So I want to start using bho on the go again (for stealth/smell reasons) the way I used to do it was with a gpen (which I hated for the most part) and I also tried the dedicated bho 510 attachments (the vhit glacier was my fav.). With variable voltage ego battery...to me I gave it up, because it was mediocre at best...I had to take multiple pulls with minimum effect
And I hate the coil taste. It is much more effective to get the torch and take a dab

Is there a way to reliably get dab strength hits from an ecig mod?
My requirements would be something easy to use, generally clean (least messy method), fairly inexpensive but the most important wrequirement would be to get me ripped in as few hits as possible with weedy smell to a minimum

I believe an rda is the way to go, but again I'm ignorant to this whole thing but wish to acquire a set up in time to watch the fireworks go off this weekend with my mighty

Thanks in advance...w

@MileHighLife are getting a lot of splatter with you ac? I have only used the single coil thus far on an 18350 mech mod but I get a lot of splatter on the glass. I do load a lot but I draw really slow.

@arrr I notice it on mine when not enough watt/volt is hitting the coil or rampup time is to slow to reach vaping temps I got alot of spitting, glass splatter. 18350 imr have a very low 3.7 discharge burst and life. AW and Efest all have amp limit 6amps pulse. Thats why samsung,LG,Sony all use 18650 and dont do 18350. Amp limt of 18650 cells around 20-30amps.
For size manufacturing compnaies starting to use lipo RC/RV battery packs. The same lipo packs powering must drone RC/laptops.

Kind of sucks to low power spittting to high power burn shit. From w9tech batteries to ADV box mods regulated deivces.

I don't get much splatter at all. I haven't cleaned the globe attachment yet and there are a few droplets on it but nothing crazy. I keep mine set pretty low too (300 degrees @ 13 watts). I just make sure I never load more than 3-4 hits at a time and pulse the button a couple of times after loading to let the concentrates melt into the wicks before I take a hit.

Yes it is off because it's ti not ni200 (I've brought that up a few times in this thread) however 550 - 600 is low temp range. if you were to try to dab off a nail at that temp you'd get a little vapor and a pool of wasted oil in the head of the nail. If I turn it down to 290 it barely produces vapor and @ 280 basically nothing.

And are all the attachments useful?
