Discontinued The Herbalizer

I had Oregon Mike make me some custom adapters to help smooth out my hits with a hemp fiber filter. I intentionally designed these so that the hemp filter was around an inch or so away from the heated vapor output to give the air some time to cool which allows more reclaim to deposit on the adapter and my hemp filter in a nice smooth way. I designed the balloon adapter to be horizontal to put less stress on the bags at the joint. I also made a super bag with volcano material reusing the Herbalizer mouthpiece. Surprisingly a completely full bowl very lightly packed can survive two full fan cycles and blow that balloon up. It is great for parties. I'll show that another time.

The cool thing about the whip adapter is that it keeps my hose much cleaner. I could even use a thicker hose but the ones I have tried were too stiff so the Herbalizer adapter is what I use.

I can now filter and capture reclaim for
1. Whip
2. Balloon
3. Hydratube

Enjoy!

So is this with the @Ratchett Song silicone adapter?
It looks more glossy/smooth/finished vs mine which was an early beta tester one.
Is it a 14 or 18 mm?
Are your balloon and hydratube pieces 14 or 18 mm?

Thanks for posting.
Awaiting some hemp fiber to try.
Without special pieces I may try a screen above ???

Sorry in advance for the question, but I'm lazy. Can you use ISO to clean the whip? I don't have a Herbie but I have the whip that I'm using with another vaporizer.

That's a phenomenal price! Do you know if Weedshop is an authorized retailer of the Herbie? I don't see the authorized retailer seal on the product listing.

I emailed Herbalizer and asked if Weedshop was an authorized dealer as I also looked on the Weedshop site and they did not display the required Herbie dealer logo.

Carrie from Herbalizer responded:
....
...Thanks so much for reaching out! I don't believe I've heard of them or been in touch so they are probably not an authorized retailer.....

Although it is odd that she says they "probably" are not an authorized dealer. Either they are or are not, but it appears they are NOT.

@relaxxin , what that means for you is that a Herbie purchased from an unauthorized dealer does not have a warranty. If I were you, I'd be contacting Weedshop ASAP to clarify.
Good luck and let us FCers know the final verdict.

Herbie owners who also own a miniVAP, please read below:

The new Herbie MV, a cross between the Herbie and the miniVAP ;)
So what do I like best about the miniVAP, after the incredible taste and super efficient use of herb (max high from minimum herb). The flexicone / wire basket modules !!!!

Those little rascals allow you to pre-pack a load, keep the heating chamber perfectly clean, make for easy emptying of spent load, can be used on a bubbler, etc etc.

I was playing around with my Herbie @Ratchett Song and had a miniVAP basket handy.
Voila ........

Herbie%20mV1%20bskt.jpg

Leave off the top chamber Herbie piece, then the basket module fits into Ratchett Song, the Herbie whip fits into the other end of the Song----a match made in vape heaven....
Not totally secure, need a finger on it or maintain Herbie whip going straight up, but this is what I've been craving.

If you are looking at Ratchett Herbie Song, the 18 mm is better, IMO as it provides extra rigidity vs the 14 mm.

Those poor souls who are unfamiliar with the miniVAP ;) the basket goes in the mv like this:
Snaps into mV cover which screws onto unit-- then many options from there.

@MinnBobber Thank you for making me aware of this. I just emailed weedshop.com to find out if they are authorized. If not I will just continue to treat my herbie like a baby and hope for the best!

Herbies have proven to be very reliable so even if no warranty, you should get many years of faithful service.
They are built to last a long long time!!
Good luck

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of how many machines get sent in for warranty repairs, when they are sent in and why.

So far I've only seen I think 3 warranty mailouts here for:

- acidic essential oil eating through some of the plastic
- bad out of the box combusting
- legit temp issues

I have a minor issue where the bowl is kind of a pain in the ass to latch onto the Herbie, but it does and I don't want to be without it so I decided not to bother mailing it in.

Like you, I've only heard of VERY few Herbie issues. It seems to be as super reliable.

As opposed to some other vapes , and very good vapes......
- Mighty and Crafty are great portables but some are on their third or fourth unit---replaced under warranty. Many ,many, many have been sent in for repairs or replacement.
That would drive me nuts.
- miniVAP. I love my miniVAP and mine has been rock solid but there have been issues. Hopefully, Hermes has it under control as the biggest block of problems came from one batch with faulty innards that went away after a short period of use.

Relaxxin should have many many troublefree years of the "Herbie experience"

I was wondering throughout this thread and a little while back people were stating the Herbie gets them more medicated than any other vape. I am by no means saying the Herbie is bad because I believe its the best vape for the truly handicap or people with very little time. I just don't see how a whip/bag could produce a hit equal or better than a very dense vapor bong hit produced by say either the Evo or Sublimator. Yes I have owned an Herbalizer but i sold it and this has me wondering if I was using it incorrectly. Forget about personal preference, features, and all of that. Right now I'm strictly talking about producing the most potent hit possible

That first warranty issue was mine and it would have never happened if I had some warnings either in the Herbalizer box or on this forum against certain types of essential oils to use in aromatherapy mode. Therefore I would like to reiterate not to use any essential oils with orange in them. I am not sure what else to avoid but euclapytic seems to be ok as does tea tree. It never occurred to me that the orange smelling stuff in goo gone is probably similar to the orange essential oil I had in a variety pack. I had put a good amount on there so a few drops probably ended up just sitting on the plastic housing next to the stainless steel mesh pad. Over the course of a few days it started to disintegrate the plastic.

I'm too afraid to even use the Aromatherapy part of my Herbie, so I never have in the whole year I've owned it. For aromatherapy, I stick with using either my AromaDog, or an old fashioned oil burner. I love cinnamon and Dragons Blood, but I would never want my Herbie to smell like either one.

I actually like the aromatherapy mode because of the fan that blows. It is nice to breathe in a slow deep eucalyptus infused air. Are there any 10 or 20 dollar devices on the market that do this? I might get one and not use my Herbie anymore for this.

I had an issue with my herbie where the temp was slightly cooler than when I first got it. It worked still but just wasn't as effecient as before. I sent it back and had a new one in about 2 weeks altogether. Great customer service experience, but I have been lucky and haven't really had a negative experience regarding vape purchases since I've started vaping.

I received an email from Brian at weedshop.com and he said that the herbie warranty is valid. is there anyway that I can confirm through Herbalizer with a product number/receipt?

What's the point of trying to produce vapour that's as dense as possible? Go dab if you want to get hits that are solid white. The herbalizer is for specific temperature control and fast heat up. SMH people aren't very intelligent sometimes.

I like to get dense hits so I can get more medicated. I also don't like concentrates, it's not the same as flower. Simple as that... some people aren't very intelligent. Btw, my herbie hits harder than any vape I've used.

Yea dude. Way different. I feel like concentrates can be harsh on the throat and fairly dry as well. I also get a similar rush from taking a really big vape-bong rip. That "zero to a hundred" feeling, if you will. Lol.

I have found concentrate hits to be smoother than flower for me but I have only Vaped concentrates and never actually did a dab. I still prefer flower though.
