Vaporbrothers Dabbler & Eleven Pen

The actual coils are not cleanable, so I can see I will be wanting a couple extras. In spite of the darkening, flavor has not degraded yet.
The device does give a good heavy hit.

The Video~

this is what I read and got confused on

Obviously Vapor Brothers and all of their associates have invested time and study into this.
The most recent developments are the most recent for a reason.
I am certain that over extended time I will find my Eleven Heaters to be superior in ways I have not yet come across.
TRUE... I am dead sure that I will see less painstaking cleaning measures over the long term with the new porous, and hollow ceramic.
It is very clear to me that one can "burn off" residues with a higher level of impunity.
The coil would be at risk.. and at least there would not be silica strands to worry about melting.
I simply get attached to the things I like, and sometimes I am a few steps behind technological advances.

Well my 11 heater died today. I noticed part of the coil was heating abnormally fast for a day or two, then today it finally burnt out.

I think it's all about preference. I had noticed before that with my original micro g silica atomizers I got thicker draws. But with the VB elevens new titanium coil and ceramic core skillet I notice I get smoother more flavorful hits that aren't as thick but are still nice.

FWIW I noticed today that the VB heater threads seat reasonably well on a Solo bowl, making a workable WPA. I hold the pen upside down on my GonG bowl and it really helps get that bottom-of-the-bowl oil to run down (up :) ) . Plus a little filtering on that old kinda toasted oil helps get big medicating rips without too much harshness. Between the quality of the unit and the customer service I've received from them, I'm a huge fan.

. I would like to know this as well. And if what voltage would be best for these atomizers. Does anyone know the range of voltages that can be used? My gf uses 3.8 for her ecig so what would be best voltage for cannabis concentrates

@paytonpenn @GuyLeDuche @hazardc0r3 We think the voltage we chose for vb eleven battery (3.7~3.8) is perfect but I definitely enjoy using a twist to crank the voltage. Haven't broken a heater so far at 4.8V. It gives a quick 3 sec hit.

This is painful to watch but I wanted to see how the excess voltage works with budder. Budder and other crumbly stuff was bothering me because it doesn't melt down onto the heater. It retreats instead. The old glass wick was better at this. But crank it up to 4.8 and the budder is gone fast.. :)

@poonman Yes you can combine the stainless aka silver with the black.

So here's my review on the silver finish "11".

As far as functionality, it works great.

The silver finish is decent looking. I prefer the brushed stainless steel look of the battery as opposed to the hopefully real chrome finish the top has. It would be nice if the entire thing was brushed stainless steel.

Overall an improvement over the black matte finish which was peeling off around the threaded area and the bottom of the ring of the top.

The only way I would personally change the " 11" would to make it thinner, pretty much like a stylus, or "o pen " style. If you could rig thos battery's with the quality and performance of your ceramic/ti heaters, that would be sleek,

But the "11" as it is now works great.

Take a knife to it, see if anything flakes off :)

A week ago I got the glass wick skillet for the 11 and I love it. I noticed that with the titanium skillets I wasn't getting all the vapor til a couple seconds before the automatic shutdown time. Now that I use the glass wick I don't have to inhale as long to get huge vapor clouds :brow:. Also does anyone know what the 11 in VB Eleven stands for? Is it the eleventh vaporizer they made?

I am really loving the VB11 atomisers but living in Europe its a real pain getting replacements. My do burn out from time to time and with 2 people making fairly heavy use of them I guess this is to be expected. I do run mine at around 4 Volts.

Anyone found a European supplier?

@DrRishi I don't know a European supplier yet. Thankfully VB11 has tiny parts so I hope the shipping isn't crazy..?

@DrRishi @530rasta True, VB11 gets gunked up when the product contains plant matter. A very different beast but worth mentioning VB2 which is able to handle any solid plant material. It drives the vapor off rapidly, then incinerates the residue back to white ash.

Clear Mini Viper | Color Versions | Spare Heaters

This is now by far my favorite attachment for vape pens. Comes with a ceramic core heater. The whole assembly threads onto a 510 battery. Here's what I think makes it fantastic:

Glass blown in California - means it won't be wobbly or thin. We give it the same insane amount of quality control we give our hydrators & whips. Mini Vipers fit nicely every time - we don't make some super tight and others super loose.

Huge hole - can be used for easy airflow or cover it like a carb. Without water and with no restriction on the airflow this is the easiest biggest dab hit I've ever experienced on a pen.

Sooo easy to load. When you pull the glass off you have the bowl exposed nicely. For sticky stuff, I scrape it off onto the edge. Or I just dip the heater into a pile of crumble and it's ready.

No threads to line up and keep clean. I spend a lot of time screwing and unscrewing my normal vape pen. This is way easier.... You just pull the glass off the o-ring.

You can use this on VB11 battery of course, or on other brands - we don't care about that anymore.

Temperature of the coil is hot enough to satisfy people who want real hits, but just barely red hot.. cool enough to not be a burny hit. You can pulse the button to get a truly low temp dab. Btw, I got schooled by a particularly experienced patient about "low temp dabbing" which makes me thing it's not necessarily the best way to medicate. If the temp is very low, you drive the terpenes off and it tastes wonderful, but you leave important components of the medicine behind- also resulting in grosser tasting hits down the road. That discussion to be continued later....

Hope you guys like it. I'll try to get some better pictures of mini viper melting wax. :)

I'll have to make a video soon. Love my Mini Viper.

I will mention I am not sure how but within 3 days mine got two cracks around the carb hole and one that goes towards the orings. It still works just think it worth mentioning if anyone else has this problem.

I got a crack like that @paytonpenn. It's a highly stressed area especially when the orings are beefy. I have to shove it on more carefully now, which is annoying for sure. I'm not sure what to do except anneal really well, or maybe we move the hole up a bit?? We'll keep an eye on that area.

I will mention that VaporBrothers' great CS did end up replacing my glass piece (in an extremely prompt manner), huge props to you guys. Since it was glass I thought I was going to just have to order a new one. A couple days after my replacement came I opened my ego styled case and noticed the glass had finally broke entirely. The end where the rings connects just got chipped off from travel.

Not the video many may have expected but here is a quick one from my Instagram

I was looking for a new pen vape to play with some wax.
I thought my dabbler was dead.
After looking on the Dr Dabber thread, I found the advice to put the heating element in iso for 20 minutes to clean that black gunk that also my Dabbler had.
I did it a couple of times, then heated the hell out of it and the coil becomes red again like new.
I feel like I have a new vape!

Well one of the connections from the battery to the PCB came off. $15 to replace a battery under warranty? No thanks, I'll move on.

I take it you were quoted $14(?) replacement because you're out of the 90 day warranty, so if you feel you didn't get your money's worth direct message me and we'll work something out.

So, it looks like my Dabbler is broken. Left it in my car overnight, and it's about 95 degrees Farenheit outside today. Somewhat luckily, less than a year ago a friend broke my original one a while back, then bought me a new one. But I'm not very confident that he'll be able to provide me with the e-mail receipt I need to redeem the warranty. Even if he does, I gather that I'll receive an Eleven instead of a Dabbler. What are the differences between the Dabbler and the Eleven? I've done a couple searches, but it's so hard to navigate for specific information on this forum. I understand that my heaters will work with the Eleven battery, but that's about it.

The original heater that came with my Dabbler is still kickin!! Its just a hollow coil now but still works. I think it might be 2 years old with hundreds of hits through it.

Picked up that glass globe nail thing. Excited to try it out.
1. Its the same exact heater that comes with the mini Viper and its cool to crank the voltage up to above 4v?

2. I have a few broken heaters to rebuild. What are guys using these days and where to buy? Will be used with a standard 3.7v battery.

^^Most my original heaters are still working also. This is EXACTLY why we are doing pens!! Ok, one reason of a few biggies. So.... it's still happens sometimes that a VB coil dies randomly or is broken by someone digging around with a pick. But on the average, our heaters last significantly longer than normal. It helps that we chose the material and stay on it to make sure nobody switched it with something lame, and most importantly- we heat up every coil to full temperature to be sure they work.

Your coil now completely devoid of wick material- It heats up quickly huh? I notice when there is no wick, it's more about rotating the pen around while you hit to steer the oil puddle into the heater. Similar deal when the core is a material that has less wicking action than fibers (smooth ceramic or quartz)

For your consideration, here's what we have now:

Glass globe nail thing- I love it. If you got this one, it is incredibly durable, although it doesn't have the extra air hole to get unrestrictive hits. This one is blown in the USA, costs more, but has a carb hole and gives huge nail like hits.

1. It is not the exact same heater- We switched to Ti-Ni as a wire material because the original Inconel took way too much effort and $$. Ti is widely accepted, although it corrodes away and breaks very quickly. Nickel is added to make it temperature stable. Crank the voltage as you like, although lifetime may go down. Use me (direct message) to get a replacement and we'll work out a deal for the R&D value this has to us.

2. We've never tried rebuilding because the wire length used to matter a lot (affects what the micro circuit puts out) and a brand new heater costs less nowadays. Works with standard battery yes. Here are the options:

Ceramic core, Ti-Ni wire (Get the 3 piece first because you need the new cone & mouthpiece)
Heater alone (may not fit your current cone well)

Ceramic core replacement nail for the globe or mini viper, Ti-Ni wire

Glass wick heater and nail are still available but have ordinary NiCr heating wire.

Thanks for the very informative response. Correct i do rotate the pen around as i pulse the button a few seconds at a time. Click, pull, rotate, repeat until i get a big massive rip. I like the skinny mouthpiece over the larger ceramic core mouthpiece. I bought both but broke the ceramic. Most likely user error poking around too hard. But that original fiber wick has been my workhorse. The quality of my concentrate varies unfortunately. Also have an Eleven pen version 1 but it got gunked up by poor product. Im in the high dez of Socal if anyone has a rec for good value concentrate.

If i understand correct the glass globe heater bought from vapor warehouse will be the Ti wire but in the future if i buy a replacement ceramic core globe nail it will be the newer Ti-Ni that comes with the mini viper?

Excited to try the glass globe nail thing it should be in the mail tonight with the crazy fast shipping from vape warehouse. Is there a voltage range you would recommend? I enjoy testing products of all types just for personal satisfaction and a curious mind. Built a rig to measure amp draw of the different e-cig based vapes i bought. Not that amp draw will reflect performance. Its just a desire to test and measure things. If you ever need someone to test and record data let me know. Not looking for freebies. Will buy it, use it, and send over data i record over time.
