Cooking with Concentrates- Candies?

the girl i get my medibles from is being entered into a competition with her organic caramels in a few weeks.
i prefer her coffee hard suckers.

i would love to try all the competitors offerings.

We bought a BUNCH of edibles out in Colorado.. my wife's stuff is better than anything we bought. It might not be as scientifically processed as some of their stuff but the taste is considerably better.

She's got some work to do on her gummys but her gummys are POTENT. 3 of them got me REALLY fucked up and 3 of the ones we brought back, Im like meh.... we did those with an alcohol tincture from an oz of Strawberry Diesel.

So far she's made buckeyes from coconut oil.. these are my least favorite, theyre too sweet for me, but 1 gets most people fucked up pretty good, brownies from coconut oil.. these are probably her best edible. You cant taste anything.. its just like eating a brownie with a hint of coconut.. theyre STRONG. The caramels, a dose seems to be about 20 grams of caramel so we've been portioning them out in 20 gram pieces.

Hey guys.

So I've got some qwiso made from kief that's darker than I hoped for so I want to make some candy out of it. I've found recipes but one thing I'm not sure about is fat content... none of the recipes I've found mention adding any fat to the mix for the thc to bind to. What I'm looking at mostly is jelly sweets (gummy bears etc) so I'm wondering if the gelatine takes the place of the fat content? Can I add some coconut oil into the mix without affecting the consistency of the end product? Am I over complicating this?

We did gummies today with a citric acid sugar coating. 2 grams of oil and about a gram of reclaim in 2 pans of gummies.

Not sure about the potency yet but these are again some of the best edibles I have ever had and rival the gummies I got in Colorado. The taste is kind of there but with the right strength of flavoring and the citric acid/sugar mix, its minor enough that someone who didnt know what it was probably wouldnt notice it.

Ill never cook with bud again.. Ill convert it to some kind of oil, purge it and cook with it.. the taste of the final product is just so much better.

Last weekend, I took .6 g of high quality shatter, dissolved it into a few tablespoons of hot coconut oil, and blended it with a 3.5oz bar of dark mango chocolate. The shatter really had no detectable taste, but wow, they are very strong - and it was sooooo easy to do.

If I calculated it right (.6 grams over 12 chocolates) each chocolate has 500mg of shatter. In about an hour it starts hitting...and hitting...and 3 hours later it's still kicking. Worked wonderfully!

I havent even tried to figure out how much is in ours and I just had my first full one about an hour ago and Ill be telling Mrs P she needs to cut the dosage in half. Theyre too strong and from me, thats saying something. I think the reclaim in it is probably whats giving me that impression.

There's about 3300 milligrams in the whole batch and I think its cut into maybe 32 pieces right now so thats a little over 100mg a piece.

Wowzers...
