Super Surfer Vaporizer

Holy moly... I've been asleep at the switch!!! :o

The last few pages have been filled with off topic conversation. You guys have knowingly derailed this thread....

Take it back on topic (the SSV....remember?) and if you feel you need to discuss the other topics, start a new thread.
This is the super surfer thread (candidate) :whoa:
To further confuse things, @Vitolo's super surfer review is in the regular old ssv thread (this is the main one, it's a short series). If you're into moving stuff around that might be included :freak:

By SSV, I meant Super Surfer Vaporizer....

And this mess is so convoluted I'm leaving it as is. The Super Surfer posts from the other thread have been moved here. Keep things to the Super Surfer from now on please.....

A hectic mess of organised chaos is how i like it :ko:

The new HC is much better in my opinion as is the new heater stand, was wanting the standard GG fitting for years now.
Here is a a pic i took when i was testing some fan tweaks.
Ill get a better one in just a second and upload a video today hopefully running through the main points.

I will be getting another video recorded tomorrow properly detailing the changes relative to the Silver Surfer and also explain how I use the analogue set-up.

I used it with a basket screen today and managed to fill quite a big bag with no stirring and a very efficient extraction!

The proximity to the heater would need to decrease but the basket screen configuration seems to work wonderfully with the forced air set up.

I was also amused at how cylindrical the bag became

I definitely want a GG HC or something similar to use baskets with the SuSV, for me - let alone to produce and send to y'all

That wouldn't cover the food to get the calories i burned getting off my sleepy ass to go pick the fucker up from the post-office :p

You have a surfer - you could always take up a new hobby and craft yourself a ghetto super-surfer

but then we will have to make all our accessories use proprietary connectors and litigate you into submission to stop you robbing all de moneyz :ninja:

So here is the Ghetto basket screen configuration i have been using (my friend got a flat tyre and things got hairy for a while, the basket was my only option!)

I just cut a hole in a larger screen for the basket to fit into (using my dremel, much easier) which i slid into the spherical joint. i was able to slide the basket up and down to change heater proximity but also didn't move it when tapping the bud.

This second image shows about 0.1G which was in the bowl, just to show how little it really was.

The resultant bag above and the vaped outcome below.

Potato shot to show good extraction with no stirring!!

I like my bud dark, of course the temp can be changed to suit.

Now its time to get working on producing something to this effect!

It is a very productive unit, in that I can get a bag of vapor using just a tiny pinch of meds.
This technique works best for me at top heat... with fan turned to top, (but fan turned on just a second prior to use)

I believe it's time to close this thread, and open the real thing. The super surfer is currently listed on Massdrop.

I am interested in the unit. The bags don't really look that cloudy though. I don't really need to replace my current vapes, but I like new toys for sure.

I wonder if the inclusion of the fan can hinder the whip functionality at all. As the silverSV was pretty well known for its whip functionality.

The sale on mass drop doesn't seem to be moving like I thought. For $280 seems like a good price, but there is very little product moving which has me wondering how popular this will be.

....has me wondering how popular this will be.

Considering how many members here have been active in this thread versus the amount of activity that is generated for other new vaporizers in other threads, I don't think it will be very popular, at least with the FC crowd.

I don't follow MassDrop too much but is it unusual for a brand new product to be offered by MassDrop? To me, that seems kind of telling as far as the movement of initial inventory, eh? On the other hand, I could be totally off base here.

I love my ssv, but I see no reason to "improve" on it.. I think if I wanted bags, I'd jus get something else.. Sorry 7th Floor :nope::peace:

I was keen on one as I want to try bags, might just get a herbaire or keep an eye for a cheap 7th floor whip vape and work out bags when I actually need them. The price difference of a da Buddha is a bit much just to give bags a crack.

I have never bought anything off massdrop and likely never will because of the ridiculous wait times and etc. You buy know, wait a month to get your product. However, I guess if you really want something, it could be a good way to save-I sort of have my eye on this ( https://www1.massdrop.com/buy/grav-gold-klein-recycler ).

They had Volcanos for a really good price on there not too long ago and they sold like 600 of them which is a good indication of popularity. I think you have a good point about the Super Surfer probably not moving much product. If the fact they only sold 2 so far off massdrop is possibly an indication of poor selling performance.

There are those that love the ceramic element from 7th Floor.
These are vaporists that always said: "I wish they could make a fan inside of the SSV... If they make one I am there".
Not everyone likes bags.
I only like them sometimes.
There have been less people here at my home since I had my problem here......
Under normal conditions by now, hundreds would have seen the SSSV and tried it.
As it stands, with reduced traffic at home... after having the SSSV here for 2 months 16 people have seen and tried it. Five out of the 16 decided they had to have one.
Remember though these are moderate to sever patients and older, so perhaps the use of the fan assist whip appealed to them.
Personally, I have been using the SSSV over my #1 go-to vape the Standard SSV in some situations.
  1. When I want an easy hit without working my lungs.
  2. When I want a small fast hit, I can max the temp for a quick bag.
  3. When I want to conserve meds. The SSV is allowing me to place a tiny pinch of meds, and fills a small bag, or gives me a couple big rips with ease.
Not every vape is for everyone, but this baby has a sweet spot in my current line-up.

P.S.-
Not one person I showed the SSSV to, had ever seen or heard of it. We here at FC are in unique position to be in the know on new technology!

Some new videos up on Youtube.
Also some changes to come to make the unit more obtainable. But ill elaborate more when the concrete has hardened.

Hey Herb-nerd will the heater cover from the Super Surfer position the bud load closer to the heater then the other covers from the LSV, Buddha or SS? Thanks
