Spot on both times! Keeping after it (and your herb well cured) will go a long way in prevention. As will caution to never blow in, even very slightly. Consider the air is cold as it comes in (no vapor to condense).
As far as cleaning in place I suspect you can do a good job if you take advantage of the solvent action of ISO? Use a 'somewhat soggy' q-tip to get the screen damp without flooding it and making it worse. Just damp but with the holes filled as best they can be. Then invert it (so nothing leaks down) for a bit before blotting up the ISO with a dry q-tip. That should take most of it away. Then repeat to get most of what's left. And again if necessary.
Never getting it dripping wet, but damp enough so the solvent dissolves some and is pulled out and replaced. The final cycle should involve clean ISO in each hole, blotted out before evaporation.

So I've had another go at dismantling my pro, and I'll be damned if I can figure it out. I've got both sliding doors off, unscrewed and removed the top plate but that's as far as I can get.
Ive tried pushing the inners down and up but to no avail. Possibly the buttons or screen are preventing this but again I can't see how they can be removed.
Also if I look into the bottom compartment I can see a join so I tried pushing upwards inside there but it doesn't seem to separate. How frustrating.

I have been off the thread for a bit. My original pro had a untimely death when pitted against a puppy with a previous knack for customizing my prized vaporization equipment (including a Davinci Ascent, several of @Ratchett's silicone tools, and an @Ed's TnT stem for my Haze).it put up a good fight, I'm sure.
However, I could not stand the idea of my arsenal without it, as (like @KeroZen) I found that it belonged in my regular rotation. I ordered a replacement before too long and my rep at SMISS took great care of me from beginning to end, per usual.
Charged up my unit and then followed up with 4 or 5 burnoff sessions. When I got home I packed it loosely about 3/4 full and took my first sip at 385. I was pleasantly surprised that it produced a thick visible vapor. My previous PRO required some packing to produce satisfying vapor. After a few satisfying dry hits I sat myself on the couch and sipped on it through my FC-UFO and a whip. Two more flavorful draws and a noticeable fog on my bubbler. However, I wanted to see how this loose back performed at max temp so I popped it up to 440. Effortlessly white-walled my bubbler multiple times.
I don't know if they reverted back to a previous chamber design or if it was just a fluke with my last unit, but it required a bit of tamping to produce thick vapor. This unit, however, functions great with a loose pack, as my previous flowemates have.
I've missed having the PRO around, but man does it feel exciting to have it back!

I am going to buy the Mini, after i got rid of my Titan 2 for about 70% more than i have paid for it. Today is a good day 
I read through the last 50 Pages, but:
Can someone tell me where to get it for less bucks? Long shipping times are no problem for me.
The prob is, i am from Europe and the shipping costs from the US are killing me.
Found the unit on Aliexpress for 65 Bucks with free shipping, but no reviews til now and i dont know if those units are originals or clones. (I really want to stay away from copies)....
Maybe someone can give me a hint, otherwiese i am going buy "the cat in the sack" (lol) from Aliexpress.

I have been in France vacationing with my wife, her sister and one of her best friends, so I've been on a THC break since June 5. I'll be home on July 2 and I can't wait to break out my stash and load up my Mini and my Pro and vape the night away. But with the jet lag, and my now even lowered tolerance, it won't take more than a few hits to put me into la-la land ;-)

i know about the risks of getting a clone, but:
1) The Mini is how long on the market? Sure, chinese people are fast with copying, but the newer the unit, the lesser is the risk of getting a fake one i guess.
2) On their Aliexpress site stands: Guaranteed Genuine: If a product that falls under this guarantee is found to be counterfeit, you will get a full refund (shipping costs included).
So its part of the Guaranteed Genuine Program of aliexpress, so i can get the money back if it is a crappy device.
I ordered one a few hours before (69 Bucks). Never had an Flowermate unit, so it will be difficult to tell if it is genuine or not. Maybe i am going to need your help to make this a bit clearer. When i should be curious about the originality of my unit, i will definitely post pictures etc in this thread to get your opinion.
If it is well made and works as expected, i will also tell it to you here.

How small of a load can the v5.0s or v5 pro handle? I'm thinking about finally replacing my old Purple-Days, but I'm not a heavy vaper and would really like something with similar efficiency. Generally only use about 0.1 gram per session with the PD. Will these FMs work alright with that small of a load?

Good to know. Having the option to put more in is always nice, just don't want to be stuck with something that doesn't produce good vape unless I load up more than I really need.

Hey, so I just got a Flowermate Mini used about a week ago. Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, it didn't come with a manual or anything so I have no idea how to do anything except how to turn it on and change the temp.
Tonight it had a weird problem: any time I touched it the button it would flash red 4 times. I tried charging it, same thing.
The weird thing is that it is working now. after about 15-30min of charging, it didn't work, but after an hour it works...
Was it just low battery? The last time I had to charge it, it just wouldn't turn on.
Also I barely used it (2 bowls) between the first recharge and when this red light thing happened.
I heard that the vape goes into a standby mode after 5 mins, do you have to exit this after you are done? does the vape still use power in standby mode? how do you extend the 5 min time period? I'm finding 5 min doesn't vape it thoroughly, i need at least 10.
After that scare, I was wondering what the warranty is and you go about doing that. It would be good to know regardless

Ok, i haven't found it any cheaper in the EU/UK. So Ali is the one for me now (i already ordered, so its too late anyway
)In the past, when i asked sellers on AliExpress if it is a clone or not, they told me the truth (so they told me they are selling copies, when they where selling copies!)
This seller replied that they where 100% originals.
If the unit isn't worth the 69 Bucks i have invested, i can return it and get my cash back. I hope this "Guaranteed Genuine Program" is not only a joke from them... Who knows, i experienced so much things in the past years with chinese sellers, so it can go totally wrong or it is a winner.
Contacting smiss could be a way to find out if the seller is official or not.

Yes, flat battery, avoid that lock out for longest battery life. Fully charge it, I don't suggest 'use while charging' in the general case even if it lets you. In this case the manual you don't have at the very end says 'don't do this, even if it seems to be working normally it's dangerous' Dangerous, their word.
It times out to standby (restarts again with a quick push rather than 3 seconds) at 5 minutes, no option to change. This doesn't have 'battery to burn' so IMO it makes sense. If it's not long enough for you, just start a new session. It's really not at it's best for serious session/group use anyway.
Warranty you're on your own for. Some makers are cool, others insist on your going through the original owner or dealer. You have no contract with FM, so they have no obligation to you. Legally they had no 'dog in the fight' when the buy was made, you have no legal claim on them. I got mine through PIU so have no concerns.......Randy is there for me. I'd check with FM?

Edit: I should have pointed out: Standby is not the same as off. When the 5 minutes times out it goes dark and cold (unlike the full size ones that leave that silly loading light on to counter stealth and drain the battery....). But it's still on. A single long (few seconds) press returns you to vaping at the heat level you left. You have to manually turn it off with five quick presses.

Yes sounds like the unit didn't have enough charge to turn on. Regular Flowermate does the same thing with the blinking lights.

My authentic flower mate mini I got from randy had a scratch off serial number validation code that u can actually scan with ur phone qr scanner and it takes u to the flower mate site..
I've gone through 3. 2 were my fault for breaking (wrong charger and general abuse). This third I am on I use multiple times daily and it's still going strong. For the price I really can't complain!!!
