+1 to the E-Cig route. I quit smoking those damned Black and Mild (Wine) cigars more than once with an e-cig. Sadly, I have restarted the B&Ms cause I lost my 510 battery w/ an 801 carty and adapter. (That thing satisfied) BUT! I just found it earlier tonight!! (Im just out of juice and a charger now)

Ive really been dragging my feet at ordering more supplies... Another USB passthrough (without the inline battery - 5v vaping experience at my desk) :ko: and more tasty juice from Vaporbomb. I like their weekly special, and I just like their blends all in all. I have tried MANY e-juice suppliers and I settled on VB. Now its just time to re-up my equipment and get off of these damned cigars again...

@Mom.

I am alas stuck in Paris :( only surfing the web lately, maybe heading down the Basque country next weekend if the swell holds though !
You seem to travel and to know France Mom, do you plan to visit soon ? if so coffe and vapes are waiting for you. ;)

Yes, it's shame that no one is making these vapes in EU, but Rick's answer triggered something :) ...just have to see if the will leads to the way.

Raf, I appreciate your warm welcome and will definitely look you up if the opportunity comes up. Although I did a lot of traveling when I was younger, I do not travel much anymore. My daughter was in France during college a few years back and yearns to live there. If she were to return to France, I would certainly come to visit. Maybe some day in the future.... ;) And I do hope that will leads to a way. I see a big opportunity for someone. It would be great it it were you! :D

edited to correct spelling :)

If you or friend are considering starting a log vape thing, I will be glad to help you with part numbers, construction tips, etc. You already have a start on a vape website which is good.
Log vapes are simple to construct but you will need plenty of perseverance to get everything right.
On the other hand, the market for a good log vape outside the US will be unreal. Still not one out of Canada either? Holy cows! WTF?????

Hey there AG. On the serious side I just want to extend a gift of gratitude your way... You have done a bunch here at FC to expand on the social ties and fun of being a member here. I've only played the poker games twice so far but enjoyed the hell out of them each time. I really have become somewhat a fanatic on this quitting smoking thing and If you decide to go for it again with the e cigs... let me know. I will send you a juice mix that will knock you socks off. It's been reviewed by about 6 or 7 of my friends, both e cig users and not... and its truly the bomb. Send me an address via the PM and I'll send you a bottle as a thank you to you and your efforts here at FC. Just my way of saying thanks.... and maybe it will taste so good that it might help in your fight against cigarettes. I will be ordering at least 30 or 40 ml's of it this week when I get paid so get me your address and I'll send a sample your way. I'm thinking about a tootie type tube that can act as a delivery method for this stuff. If I can come up with something quick and simple for a glass guy to make I can use my Zap for the ecig juice's too. That would be the ultimate. Rick... any ideas. I think a tooty with a chamber down low and some of the drip material thats used in ecigs inserted through the carb hole and its all done. I'm going to check in with a glass blower and check it out. In fact, if anyone with the old style tooty that has the bulb on the end can just pull their tip, insert some fish filter wool material into the bulb and reinsert the tip. Herb by itself. Ecig juice by itself, and a combo of herb drawn through the ejuice packing for a new flavor enhancement... If anyone has one of the old Tooty styles I'm talking about would like to sell me one I'll put it to the tset. I think it would be as simple as that to have a really neat experience. PM me if you would like to part with one of the old Tootys with the bulb at the tip side. I'll pay you double what your out just to try this... have a good Sunday and enjoy your day... Tortoise

Mom,
thx for the warm feelings !

Rick
Thanks a lot for your proposition !
I can not say no to such a proposition. So it's a huge Thank You. :D

Since your answer, I did contact Tom to see if he would agree to send me a Pandora Kit even though I live in France (explaining him the reason of the request).

Don't know if it makes sense but I thought it would help me and be a good start.

Well I guess, we can/should continue this via email.

Have a nice sunday everybody !

Raf007,
The European market deserves a log style vape. On another note, I gotta claro black walnut zap on the way. Well its not actually on the way yet, but I did order one after six Boston lagers and a vape session on my myrtle zap early sarurday morning. Can't wait to see what Rick sends me this time, plus I am getting a tooty. The deal was just to sweet to miss, hope all is well out there for all the zapheads. All is good down south. :peace:

PanicFreak,

the ob

all good in the hood.
someone is going to start doing the log vape thing and do very well. I cannot believe how many people have requested these in other countries. I bet someone could just set up shop in canada and take care of both.

someone should seriously look into this. do it Raf007!

I just pulled the trigger on "Best Deal Going"- claro walnut, no light, carbed tooty, car charger (which will hopefully pwr the mflb/pa as well). I am very excited since I've been wavering on which log style vape to get forever.

Given that all three (log vapes) seem to perform to a simillar level of excellence, it came down to accessories, delivery time, price, and manufacturer participation on this forum. Rick meets or exceeds on all of these criteria and I am happy to be his newest customer. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Damn, Empherio, that WAS quick. Quick post anyway. I just came over to check FC after getting with a customer who had just ordered and saw your post. Thought, "how cool, so and so has already posted he bought a Zap". Then I checked the store real quick. No, that was a Myrtle.............
You all keep me young and hummin.
Raf007
I'll get back to your Email later in the day. I have some questions for you before we go too much further.

mom, the ob, thank you !!
It's little good vibes like that really help keeping the head and motivation high.
I did send an email to Rick and we will see how I can do that..if it appears I am able to do it.
Fingers crossed to tell you the truth. ;)

I posted here almost instantly after purchasing- I'm really looking forward to my new toy and have spent hours (days, weeks) poring over the minute differences and virtues of this style of vape. Nobody understands that better than the upright citizens of the FC forum!

I'm sure you could sell way more Zaps than you could possibly build, but it is that time, effort, and "loving care" that makes it a special product. That said, please exert yourself like a busy beaver to make mine!

After careful review of 17 different vapes I chose the Aromazap actually the Claro Walnutzap and happen to have the exact same order as Empherio also jumping on the best deal offer. I've been wanting this style vape for over a year. In the end it was between the zap and the Vriptech with durability and efficiency being the deciding factor. I am hoping to get a lifetime of use from it and will add the MFLB to my collection in the future for hikes and such. I am in no hurry to get mine though since I can't use it for another month :uhoh: I'd love to hear from other zap owners their zapary and also about zaploads. I'm hoping this will not affect my unit or void the warranty to place it directly into my 14mm downstem I'm looking forward to it. Zappers unite! Fuck combustion.

so ive had my zap for almost a year now and its the only vape ill probably ever need. its so small and efficient, no complaints.. i like it more and more with each use. wanted to ask tho, and this may seem like sacrilege to some, but i have some awesome "antique red" water based wood stain i used on a table and it looks great, id love to stain my zap -- but does it need to be sanded down or is it raw wood as is, sans finish, and ready to go?

Hey everyone, just ordered a 'best deal going' walnut Zap :D super excited and I just wanted to thank everyone in FC for all the info that helped guide my decision. When I set out to find the perfect vape for me I had never even heard of a MZ (or any log vape for that matter) but all the qualities it has was exactly what I was looking for in a vaporizer. Mad props and thanks to Rick for this awesome product. I'll post some pic's for those that are interested when it arrives.

ps. Rick I was wondering when the expected ship date is for zaps ordered on the 25th. (Not sure if this is proper protocol, just too excited not to ask)

flouris, I would have concerns about putting a stain on the Zap unless it was a vegetable based stain or some other organic type of stain. I would be worried about off gassing of a standard stain. This is just conjecture though, and maybe I'm being paranoid. I would shoot Rick an email and ask him.

I've also had my first Zap almost a year now. It, and all the other Zaps I have, are all still working great and I use them as my "go to" daily vapes. Love them all.

Congrats on your new purchase dowork. I, for one, would love to see some pics when you get your new Zap!

And a little report back about Walnita. I gave my walnut Zap to a good friend recently and she is loving it. She has put several coats of Zapolish on it since she got it, sort of a "bonding" experience. Walnita looks beautiful. My friend says she likes to be rubbed. ;)

Your order should ship early to mid next week for a Friday/Saturday arrival, right at a week from order to delivery. We'll let you know when we ship with tracking info, etc.
Which brings up another change here in Zapville. We have always shipped USPS Priority and first class mail. Over the last several years we have used the USPS website for labels. Short story short, we switched to endicia last week. http://www.endicia.com/default.cfm
We still use the US Postal service as they fit our business best but Endicia is a world away from the USPS for labels. I can do all priority and first class, very fast, pay online and get a SCAN form for the all the days packages. All have real tracking now(not just "delivery confirmation") and the postal carrier loves being able to scan it all in one scan. I cannot believe we went so long in the 19th century on this one.
flouris
I would never recommend a "stain" of any kind on a Zap. That is said knowing we are all different and if that trips your trigger, go for it. You would have to sand off our ZaPolish finish which is mostly beeswax with a tiny bit of food grade oil to soften it up and a dash of real essential oil for smell as it will keep any stain from penetrating the wood. The stain probably will smell a bit at first and IS on the outside of the wood but I would be very careful. I surely would never do it myself as we like the natural wood grain look. Take a look at the stain label and see if you want that stuff on your log.
Ah, holding the log, rubbing and buffing the log, whatever it is we are doing it more JUST to keep our hands warm. Another 10 degree morning, several inches of snow in the last couple days and headed below zero tonight. Almost the first of March! NEVER in the 30+ years we have been here has this happened so late in the year. Seems like I said that last summer about our June weather.
Oh well, bring it on Mother. We love it!

Read on another thread some comments about airflow through log vapes. Pretty essential to have a good airflow through the stem tip contents to make good vapor. I always like to consider the 'flow' in everything. I even call the Universe "The Master Flow". Flows can either be restricted or leak when they are not right(like a stroke). I have always thought the near perfect fit of our stem tips to our heatport tube was one of the reasons the Zap worked so well. No leaks in the air flow. That's what carbs in stems are for.

I'm hoping it will not damage my unit or void the warranty to place it directly into my 14mm downstem. Would I need to hold it or add additional support? I don't want my glass to be a dust collector.

You will be fine using your Zap with your water piece. The 14mm is the PERFECT size for your stems.

Personally, I like to keep my hand on the Zap while using it like this, but no worries :)

yes make sure you brace your MZ while doing vapor bongs and you should have no problems, try packing only half a stem, very lightly for great results.

After much deliberation I went ahead and purchased Myrtlezap today! The DBV was getting too smelly for my roommates and the Zap is a perfect replacement, can't wait until it arrives.
