Does anyone here use an m2m + EQ/ELB screen and have a pair of calipers? I'm talking to Ed (Ed's TNT) about potentially making a wooden transfer wand and a carbed m2m, but I don't have anything that can make remotely accurate measurements. My best eyeball with a tape measure is 0.5" for the inside diameter.

The M2M I have measures .450" ID, but if I measure some other male joints there is a lot of variation in the ID. Might be best to measure yours accurately.
Thanks! Have you used your m2m with an ELB or EQ screen? I couldn't tell from your previous posts in here whether you've only used a custom bowl screen with it.

Would be best to measure the LSV transfer wand since the eq screens fit perfectly in it.
Unfortunately my transfer wand is slightly too big for the ELB and EQ screen, I have to wrap a little bit of foil around the ELB to keep it snug.

Sorry , no i have not, I make my own screens to fit whatever size I need. Also the transfer wand ID is much larger (.040 -.050") than my M2M adapter. No calipers here right now though to be precise.

I've used the EQ screen and the adapters and this placement with the M2M works best for me. I don't understand the physics behind it, but I think it's close to the ideal positioning of screen to heater cover.

So if your picture is upright, the herb would go on top of the herb. Interesting, I wonder why. I'm going to try again to shove a screen in there and see what happens. Damn I need to buy some more M2M adapters

Anyone know where else I can order custom heady M2M adapters? I know Joda's been a bit backed up and I'd like to support another blower

.46" average between 4 males. Ranged between .45" to .48" across the same four.

Interesting, I'll have to try this. In what ways do you find it to be better than the EQ screen? I definitely get a hot spot using the EQ screen -- an off-centered one, strangely enough. But I tend to use a pretty high temp and draw for a long time.

I've been wondering if there's an easy way to add something that mixes around the airflow just prior to the load so that you get a more even extraction without needing to stir. Maybe something like the vapor genie filter, or those S&B liquid pads, or even cotton? The added thermal mass of the first two would probably make it take a bit longer to start producing big-time vapor.

having a slightly longer distance to the herb by about 1/2 inch appears to make a subtle but important difference. The ABV is more uniform and my hits are bigger at lower temps. By the way, when the screen is seated as pictured (not my pic, BTW) inside the M2M, its in about the same position as the screen in the SSV bowl of the GG heater cover/wand. Another factor might be that when the screen is in that position, its nearest to the tightest point of the GonG connection, right where the adapter seals the heater cover. It's possible that 7th Floor figured out that this was the optimal distance between heat source and herb, since its set up that way in their GG SSV and DBV designs. If so, it would stand to reason that similar dynamics and load placement would work with the LSV.

Credit goes to bake Bros for the original pic of the m2m, and I added the screen placement :)
I get a kick each time I see someone else use it :)

The ssv GonG screen and the lsv transfer wand do indeed both use the same screen position :)

I'm not sure why, but I prefer the performance of this screen setup over an elb or EQ screen too...

A question about the SSV and the Buddha heater covers for you folks, are they the same height? I am trying to move the load a bit close to the heater on my LSV but I can't find any info on dimensions of those covers. TIA

The standard ssv hc will touch the rod tip if I push it all the way on the LSV.

Not sure about the budda

So yes it's closer to the heat imo.

I think I've heard the DBV's HC are taller. Are you planning on a GG HC?

I would love to try a smaller 90 degree male SGG + LSV WPA, but I'm extremely happy with my assortment of different diameter GonGs + standard HC, :spliff:. So happy that I haven't been visiting FC much at all anymore. My VAS has been cured.

Hey Tweak, You know how it goes the LSV just begs to be tinkered with. Thanks for the response.

I decided to re-visit the wpa yesterday and I am really liking it now. Idk what I was doing wrong before but the wpa kicks ass!! I also just figured out that I don't have to take the whole heat shield off to use the wpa. I find I'm getting better tasting and more hits with the wpa.

Thought I would do a video of my LSV vape-whip-bongin' set-up.
I really love this set-up.
It's great for kickin back.
I use a 7th floor whip which press fits into the neck of my Mobius 60b (allowing it to still be used despite broken mouthpiece) and press fits on the other end into the LSV transfer wand which I use as a large hookah style mouthpiece.

I am using a M2M with wedged screen and using a dropdown and a claisen.
Temp is about 2:30 I think, higher like I like it.

I will be using this same set-up with a Sub soon but the LSV is very capable itself so no doubt will remain in regular use.

i know You guys are fans of the baskets with the LSV.

I Just tested the little basket with the Super-Surfer - highly efficiency! (Silver with spherical would be the same.

I wont even start trying to compare to other types of vapes in terms of efficacy of extraction.
My brains and its facilities knows whats up :science:

I just cut a hole in a larger screen for the basket to fit into (using my dremel, much easier) which i slid into the spherical joint. i was able to slide the basket up and down to change heater proximity but also didn't move it when tapping the bud.

Hello - help required please.
Just ordered my LSV but can't get the WPA in europe and shipping from US is $35.
I use about .13g per load.
Does anyone have any recommendations for an adapter please?
Also if i bite the bullet and get the official adapter is there any difference between the 14mm and 18mm in terms of working best with sdmall loads.
All my glass is 18mm nut i have a 18 to 14 adapter i could use.
Many thanks

Lol, read the past 20-30 pages of this thread, many people don't use the official WPA.

You can use an 18mm male 2 male adapter with a screen as a WPA. Many people do it. There are several different screens you can use (a standard round screen shoved into the middle, an EQ elbow basket screen, or a vapexhale ELB basket screen can be used).

You should be able to find a M2M at any local shop that sells glass, no need to order from OGB if you're in Europe (you'll pay more than you need to for shipping).

If you do order from OGB, you might want to order his carbureted version which is impossible to find in stores
