sorry for the double post
To my understanding, only nickel and titanium wire have temp control compatibility. It is not accurate for your kanthal, nichrome, gplat, etc builds.
i will test the donut with my heat gun and compare then report back the temps once i get the qty 10 evic vt in..
so far we have those two types of temp mods giving good hits to 2 customers at temps of 370f -380f

It's kinda funny I got into the vape world only a little over a month ago, and one of the first things I came upon was temperature control mods. I couldn't figure out when they didn't seem to exist in the concentrate world. Just a few days ago I discovered this thread!

I understand now I just stumbled on the newly released TC mods with that next gen chip in them by accident.

I plan to immediately order an evic and 2.5 donut for testing!

Hello,

I have received my 2.5 donut. The airflow is great and the the taste is awesome.....

But i have a problem of efficiency : most of my oil is splattered like that :

I am using a electronic mod. I have tried using my mod between 8 an 12 Watts.

Any suggestions why it's doing that ? Thanks !!!!

I would suggest that you are maybe loading too much and drawing too hard. You only need to barely inhale.

I don't know exactly how much i load, i think it's the size of 3 pinheads. Anyway i dont load over the level of the 'receptacle' donut. I am not inhaling very hard... Strange.... i'am gonna try to load less...

That is strange. What wattage are you running? I think temperature control is the way to go with all wax atomizers and have just ordered an evic VT.

Hi all,

My English is poor and I was not able to understand the overall topic.
Is it possible to "dry" herb with Ceramic Donut Atomizer V2.5 ? (Not Oil or wax)

If yes, what is the result ?

Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm not very knowledgeable on ceramic but I do know a fair amount about the temperature control devices that are being used. Like someone has already mentioned they are not measuring temperature they are measuring the resistance change of the wire or in this case the ceramic donut. Does ceramic change resistance when heated? probably, judging by it seems to work on the VT mods. Is that resistance consistent? No clue, that will take someone smarter than I. However if that change in resistance is not consistent then the temperature the device is limiting the ceramic donut to might not be accurate at all, but probably wouldn't cause it to break the ceramic. Titanium however is very accurate on the Evic and you would be able to actually vaporizer instead of causing it to combust very very consistently just like oven style vaporizers.

I am between 8 and 12 watts. But i have no temp control on my mod.
Maybe i should try to pulse to avoid splattering.

Anyway DivineTribe thanks for send me the 2.5 version for free !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say it again : taste & airflow are amazing !!!!

I really want one of those 2.5 ceramics (been using one of the old metal versions, but it's pretty junky now). Hopefully in a few months I can grab one. Maybe his dry herb will be ready by then?

just ordered 20 mini invader temp mods they are the smallest mods and are waterproof and shockproof, I will be selling them with the Sony Ipv4 battery, BEST MOD OF 2015 with the best Atomizer in my opinion,, WE got ourselves a complete vape pen, still need to test to see if it works with this mod,,
