I usually use it just had it aside and figured I would see if there was a difference in performance or draw rate. Answer to that was it doesn't even matter haha. I barely touched the glass my mic on my phone is crazy sensative. In the last video you can hear reno 911 even though i set my tv to like 3. I have used the silicone mouthpiece since though because I thought the metal would give a tighter seal but it's the same.
That is actually a 18mm male joint though right? If so that is cool that with the silicon tip it can fit 14mm female or 18mm male.

but the air is better suited for use with multiple folks right?

and its gotta milk glass. i saw one video where it looked pretty milked and i was impressed. then another and i was less than impressed.

would love to see some more videos.

I don't really find the Air good for multiple people at all. Maybe for a bunch of people with low tolerance. For a few people with tolerance you could run the battery dead before everyone had a buzz.

I've had an Air since Black Friday. I like it for solo use when I want a session. Flavor is really good at low temp, sometimes better than the Volcano. I want the Grasshopper because the Air doesn't work well going on and off. It just kills the load. I love the idea of being able to click it on, take a pull, and turn it off just like a pipe. Thats the big idea of torch powered vapes, but I like the refined discreteness of this better. I think it will convince many combusting friends of mine who enjoy using a vaporizer when I bring one, but have yet to care enough to buy one themselves.

That would be a 14mm, which is what the GH is designed to fit, theres no way it would fit a 18mm without any extra adapter or anything

Brass. One of the slow downs in production was getting the lead-free brass heaters. The only reason I didn't pre-order was a desire to see a unit (well, a heater from a production unit) tested in a lab (considering how difficult it is supposed to be to get the lead free brass, in quantity, I feel like a bit of scrutiny on a new product from a start-up working with overseas producers would be sensible).

What would it take to get one independently tested? How much would it cost?

How sure are we that the heater is brass?

The only 'official' reference to that I can find is from the original Zenpen promotional materials. The only thing the Grasshopper campaign site says is Direct Metal Laser Sintering but not what the metal is.

Has anyone gotten emails from Hopper Labs that is more recent than the Zenpen site?

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to order a Grasshopper through the webpage but I get the following error message: "Failed to create PayPal payment: An unknown error has occurred"

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know a way around this?
I sent an e-mail to Trevor a week ago and haven't got any response. I guess he must be really busy.

Thanks for any help/advice.

It is NOT brass. It was switched to SS a long time ago. Info is in the old locked thread.

Happened to me back in March, I tried the next day and it worked. Trevor answered but did not know what the problem was. Actually maybe I tried a different browser, do that.

Yea I had been saying from the start I was sure it would because 18 male isn't 18mm at the tip. But nobody believed me haha in the video I checked it right away. It has to be an 18mm male for concentrates not flowers. Meaning a nail is technically supposed to sit there and a dome go over it. Meaning it looks like the bottom of a slide. I posted a photo in this thread of it on my pyrology. I don't mean to sound redundant just trying to make sure anyone reading this gets it.

Here is the photo in case i just posted it on reddit.

18Mm female No
18Mm male yes

14mm female yes
14Mm male ?

Also in my footage I shot of the unboxing and the first three bowls there is a section I knew i missed my focus mark on the lens but did not know for how long and now I see it is a small clip of it but it is for a few puffs and leads up to the 1st battery giving out. I am wondering if people would like me to skip it or keep it so you can hear my thoughts as I use it. I am almost ready to export and upload as soon as i decide what to do here.

I say keep all the footage

Thanks for the correction, I had not seen the metal mentioned in a long time. I think SS should be tested as well, for similar reasons; i think, however, that safe SS sources are likely more plentiful.

Yes, keep everything. Start the upload! :whip:
Well export then upload but I will get started soon.

After the first bowl I say some really stupid lines haha. I feel terrible for laughing at those dispensary people cause I bet they got crazy baked like I did unexpectedly and fumbled their words.

I think my favorite I said so far is "We will definately finish everything I have done."

Pretty sure I meant finish everything I broke up. Haha oh man some gems in there.

Also for whoever asked about efficiency. I am now making it my mission to use as little as possible. Holy cow I get something out of anything obviously i have not tried a single flake or two but it will give you something .

Sorry if this was asked before, but has anyone had the chance to try both the Ti and SS version? I know the main differences would be weight and heat efficiency, but is there anything else/is it worth the extra?

Ok in total 3:30 min out of focus....Ah man I feel dumb haha. I will keep it though because now watching it the full way through I think over all it gets the points and questions i had done and answered despite how rambley it got haha. I had a tony freakout when my lights flashed to tell me the batteries were dead. Also after talking to Sanchez apparently after an idle shut off I guess the hopper has to be clicked again and then wait a second then click again or it won't immediately restart you will see it a couple times in the video where I talked and it shut off.

Where did you see that? They were at 10$ during the IGG campaign. But When I added one to my order a few months ago, I had to pay 20$.
I didn't confirm it myself, but I was told either in this or the shipping thread a few days ago that Trevor had charged them 35 dollars for a spare cord

Early reviews so far sounds really promising. Coming from the Mighty, would this thing blow me away besides the heat-up time? Can someone compare the high of the GH to the Mighty? I have the PAX 2 and it gets me nowhere near as high as my Mighty and I know one user stated that the GH gets them way higher.
the pax2 gets me nowhere near as high as the GH as a point of reference

Just pulled the trigger on a Ti version with 3 extra batts and a SS case :D
Good for you! I didn't get to try the TI version but I got to see the color versions and they look cool and are incredibly light. The best analogy I can make is like holding a first generation iPhone then picking up an iPhone 6. My muscle memory of the weight of the SS made me almost throw the TI when Matt handed it to me

I have not used either, but I cannot see any way in which the nominal price difference between SS and TI isn't a steal for the consumer. Lighter, better with heat, more durable, more corrosion resistant and more.

I tend to like heft to a device when its in my pocket, I feel like high quality SS is pretty damn corrosion resistant(Hell I have had kettles that were good SS that lasted forever with water in them constantly), I like the color of SS more then the TI normal color, I doubt the heat will be vastly different, SS is very durable, I mean some vapes are cheap and plastic substance.

Why pay more then you have to also? I mean its preference I guess.
